I was thinking something more like rural Georgia or Kentucky.

Haha, no. Although those maps do look quite nice, chernarus is fine. If I am not to like somthing about chernarus it's how dull/boring it is. Doesent have much 'architecture' just endless fields with little towns.

Nationality has nothing to do with the idea of changing the map.

Only reason I suggested Rural America was because of the sheer number and variety of guns and loot possibilities.

In rural America just about anything you can imagine can be found.

High Powered weapons, moonshine, explosives, home made weapons, predatory wildlife etc.

Chenarus well not so much.

this is stupid crazy in so many ways!! why would you choose the setting and location, the whole atmosphere of a game just for the benefit of more variety of guns and loot?! really..if this would be considered i really wouldn't want to buy this or future games from BIS anymore...

Are you serious? -_- They've been working on adding new villages and improving everything to make the standalone great, making most buildings enterable and so on... and now they'd delete everything and take one more year to build an entirely new map...? Nope.

Also, they don't have to just remove Chernarus, they can create another map and keep both.... but I prefer that they focus on Chernarus right now, and making the SA awesome

Yup, not like you can go into a fire station and come out with an M4A1, 2 grenades, and a silenced m9 un Chernarus. No guns at all there.

Like Joe said, you shouldn't choose a place just because you want more guns, and the devs aren't going to throw away a year's hard work just because there's not enough guns there. If you really want more guns, get your own private server and adjust the loot.

As stated previously, rocket and co. have already spent a large amount of time revamping Chernarus. It would be rather illogical for them to remove it from the Standalone.
