Maybe starting around Electro, going past Tolpolka dam, up through the Sobors and maybe ending up at Poboda dam. (Or wherever. Clumzy (DayZ) 377 Posted June 7, 2013 As far as I know, rivers can`t work because water can`t change in elevation with this engine. The lakes and ponds in the map are separate entities. Rivers tend to function as resources and transportation networks, moving up and down a river in a canoe, paddle boat or something larger would be potentially faster than walking and not require petrol. Also river may be good sources of particular resources and thus tents and player settlements may tend to be created in proximity to the river. I wonder if they'll be any loch ness monsters in there....i'm not sure if the swamps are really that deep. they seem to be just...for visual attraction. maybe they can play a role in the new medical/hygiene system. I personally would like to see far mor shrubs, dead wood, reeds etc... simply more thicket around the swamps.The pics we've seen so far are not really swamps they are more one of those saltwater marshes.
