What's the dumbest thing panic has ever caused you to do?

Panic. We've all experienced it in-game at one time or another. Sometimes, it causes you to do really stupid things. So, my question is, what has panic caused you

to do?

Mine:

I was in Cherno with a Lee Enfield. I knew some people were here, as I had seen them earlier. Well, anyways, they had tried to tell me to leave town, but they used text chat and I didn't see it.

They opened fire. I was on the pier. I heard the shots and, well, just kind of jumped off in panic. I broke my legs and lost some blood.

Fortunately, I had morphine and MREs so I got back in the fight fairly quickly. I managed to take one of the two down before dying.

We laughed about it later that day. It was fun.

Rode an ATV over a bridge while being chased by a heli.

Attacked a bandit with a flare when he snuck on me in the dark.

Slid down into the quarry while in a shootout.

Drove in a car with Steak.

I remember I answered a call to patch up a player who had broken his leg on top the power plant fire house (electro). I jumped from a helicopter, approached and repaired his wounds. Once he was patched the helicopter came within distance of the roof to pick us both up. As he was getting in a shot rang off skipping the ground next to me I button smahed trying to go prone and helplessly watched my character start to display the famous stutter step prone movement. My character pro launched off the roof and fell to the depths below insta killing me as I screamed "shite."

15 day old gear given away instantly but to a good cause ;)

I usually make the mistake of opening fire too early and not waiting for a better chance. Which ends up in me dying.

A time with a story though, was when me and my squad mate had gotten separated. We were in Cherno and I was ducked down next to a house behind a fence. The place was hot and he had just died. I was holding his shit for him and waiting. I wasn't confident enough at the time to move out on my own. (Plus, I think I had a broken leg) I was armed with an AK. He made it back in town and was trying to move onto my position. I was panicking because we could hear shots. I was crouched down and seen some guy run out in front of me, no more than a few feet away. So I take him out with one burst. Next thing I know, my squad mate is chewing me out for killing him. At least it was a good shot.

Just ask Het my record 2 minute drive with him. The first minute and 30 seconds I spent driving to his location to pick him up.

...A promise of lust and adventure, in the peaceful rolling hills near Krasno . Steak finds me on the edge of a forest in the hippie van, joy and peace, the solitude of the open fields , the distant sound of the night birds.

Thirty seconds after entering the passenger door we are a fireball of molten metal and glass, thrown clear , both bleeding and broken. A minute of laying beside the car of wonderment watching the knockout timer and our death is complete.

We came for love, we left in caskets, bits and pieces of leg and face intertwined with cans of beanz. Steak is like..' what, was that under two minutes ? ' i tell him ..'...not even that long bro'

Although we didn't die in the Slenderdrive, which was unusual.

Me and 3 other guys were in NWAF and we got attacked by bandits. I hid behind the car and saw a guy in a ghillie in the treeline behind us. I opened fire on him and killed him with my M16A4 ACOG, only to find out he was one of us (No nametags). Then we drove to safety, but I bled out, because I got hit earlier..

Probably the dumbest was back when i first started playing dayz. Was in that town near NE airfield when i heard a car approaching. Right across the street was a house i could hide in but the car was closing in fast so i hesitated for a moment before finaly deciding to go for it. Didnt make it.

Me and a friend of mine were in cherno or elektro cant remember. The city where the supermarket is opposite the school building. Well me and my friend were in said supermarket. As we wanted to move out from the back exit we were suddenly shot. We head back in just to find out that the main entrance was guarded too. After a while we got our shit together and made a run to the school.

I run first he was behind me, atleast i thought so. He yelled over the mic "I AM RIGHT BEHIND YOU". Ok fine when I entered the building I suddenly saw a person to my right running towards me. Without any hesitation/panicked I shot him with my winchester. Needless to say that said person didnt survived it and of course it was my friend. But to be fair, he said he is behind me and not right from me. After the shock settled down we laighed our ass off while a zed broke my leg and I was mauled to death.
