Functional Glasses

Recommended Posts

In the new SA, with new clothing items, I think different glasses should have functions.

1. Tactical glasses- We've all seen these right? But they're only asthetic in the mod but in the SA, with the possibility of a weapon malfunction, shrapnel and fragments can come off bullets or even the gun itself if the misfire is severe enough.

2. Sunglasses- Pretty straightforward I guess

3. Reading glasses (general glasses)- If your player has damaged eyes, maybe a misfire in a gun, flashbang?, headshot etc... your vision is blury until you find these.

What do you think? Post your suggestions as well!

I am sure... Well, it could bring reallistic aspect into a game. However, I am not sure if I want this to be implemented :/

I do not like. Better than a lot of different glasses that are different from other styles and fashions.

I sort of like it, although it would be really annoying if you found some awesome glasses then you find out all you see is orange when you wear them.

Lol, you would die from a head shot...

ACE has this feature, I inarticulately like the reading glasses, they are quite humorous.

You wouldnt see orange with the tac glasses just protction. Sunglasses would only slightly tint the screen and remove the effect of your eyes having to adjust to different light levels

I would like every piece of headgear to have a visual effect. Hats with visors would block a bit of your visibility, but prevent a bit of glare.Gas masks would give a bit of an overlay like in ACE. Slight tints from different glasses, whatever.

sunglasses would be cool if a filter went over your screen when you put them on, maybe even dampen flash-bangs, gun flare, sun light and the works ... is there not a tactical spectacle that kills flash bangs, bang? ..not sure!, .. protective goggles would be great from frag shrapnel etc

Hello there

As others have said the ACE mod nods towards this. It's really not an important aspect but a nice "touch" of realism I would like to see to help immersion.

The amber tint makes it easier to see contrasts so it does make sense in a way...

2. Sunglasses on the other hand do protect from intense light but when switching to dark places you are completely blind for up to a couple of seconds.

3. You won't need any glasses at all when your eyes were heavily injured, you would need new eyes... <_< That's what tactical or protection glasses are supposed to do in the first place, prevent any foreign object from entering the eyeballs.

All in all every type of glasses has it's pros and cons. That's why they kept them pretty neutral in the game since everyone is only for the looks anyway...

If they do add different types of glasses, I would just leave them as fashion, nothing else.

And you can wear sun glasses reading glasses in the game now, just go into your profile and edit your character.

In principle, good use of tinted glasses, only to be darkening in color (yellow, green). Well, to be quite modern, the digital score from Google, this is an outfit of clothing of the future!

If glasses, why not footwear. Running shoes to run faster, softer souls= quieter. but they wear out faster then hard soul boots. also, no ankle support so chance to sprain/break if running on uneven surface.
