King Tubbs 224 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) so there seam to be an unwritten rule amongst most people even bandits that if you are all teleported somewhere you don't shoothackers WANT to see a massacre that's why they do it why be the tool and shootthere is ALWAYS 1 or 2 people who do it often shooting you in the back and then half of them complain about dieing in a firefight THEY STARTED because it was a hacker that got them killedif teleported somewhere don't shoot leave thew server or run awayif you shoot the hacker will keep doing it because it "funny" if everyone walked away/left EVERY TIME then they may try something different Edited January 30, 2013 by King Tubbs Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Mos1ey 6301 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) No. Adding a password or whitelist is against the rules for main hive servers as people could use them to gear up in private and then take said gear into other servers to slay noobs, lol.Shouldn't take too long to get a new camp set up though. I would assume though the hacker(s) start off the shooting and people freak out and fire at anyone with a gun. Just logout and come back 15 minutes later, you can have all the gear you want.As for the whitelisting thing, there are no public ones, it's against the rules of the public hive to have any sort of whitelisting or password protection. You won't have to give up those 2 tents though, you go play on the private hive, go back to the public when you feel like it, and those tents will still be there, hopefully with the gear. And I'd get over the forum thing. They don't require you to actively use it, it's just an easy way to get the information required to get you whitelisted. Then I kept typing "HELPPP" while crawling out of the city, when this flying bus (i swear its flying or jumping houses) landed in front of me, and a bandit came out. He ask me " do you need help?". My Fight instinct is much stronger than flight so i will shoot the first thing i see assuming that IS the hacker. I know better now but its a hard habit to break. Last time it happened was just after the combat timer was put in and after shooting i had to just lay there and wait ... and die and scream at myself for not just logging out INSTEAD of shooting.Hell first couple times it happened i never even thought hacker and just figured it was a bug. boneboys 7988 Posted January 31, 2013 About ten of us were teleported today (in a bus, thankUverymuch), nobody fired, one or 2 said "don't shoot" via com's and guess what,,,it worked, nobody was killed and we all went our merry way, well I did anyhow.Trouble is that ammo crates were spawned in at the same time, some could not resist the temptation and were later kicked for illegally spawned weapon possession.Dev test server, fyi. klesh 2423 Posted January 31, 2013 The worst part about the mass teleporting fragfest, is that as soon as one person shoots, then they all start shooting, you've got no chance to log out because of the combat timer. This is what happened on my last public hive death-by-hacker and I moved on to a whitelisted private hive after that. I've had nothing but great experiences since. Click the sig for awsomeness.
