Exactly how far "off the map" can you go?

Thinking of doing a camp search up the west side of chenaraus and just wondered how far off I should go?

You will hit the map border and the endless debug plains soon enough. I wouldn't bother looking "off map".

I remember when they added the patch that auto-removed tents and vehicles in debug, do private servers have control over whether or not they despawn?

I play on EHD not sure if its private or not?. Just watched a couple of videos and some of these camps seem miles out, that's what prompted my question.

I know vehicles respawn if left outside of the map but I thought tents could still be stored out there? I've played a few servers with 'OFB tents will be removed' auto-messages so I'd assume so, unless that was just to let you know they despawn. :S

I'm not sure was it that the sea ends at some point and then starts the ground or other way around. Either way I heard that maybe over two years ago and it might not be true...

In public servers, you can safely store vehicles at around the 997 line. But its considered cheating to store anything with in this boundry. Not my opinion, just seems a general.

I was under the impression that flying past the edge resulted in ejection from vehicle. I lost a heli after I went past and was auto-ejected. The heli crashed and burned and I didn't even get a parachute. Maybe I just got hacked, admin did it, or it was a specific server rule.. dunno.
