Devblog update: Where is the Standalone?

Recommended Posts

Have anybody answer on this question? Will New Inventory system require micromanagement as old one was?

Like magazines from backpack will can't be used to reload weapon so I need move them into main inventory or hot spot? It was great part of old UI to spend time in inventory to figure out what I will need and what I won't need.

P.S: It would be great to have need to crouch somewhere take off your backpack and look in it :)

One thing I'm worried about is that will the SA require a better system to run it than ARMA II? I have to keep my graphic settings on Very Low so the framerate doesn't mess up on the DayZ Mod although that being said I can run the game smoothly on ARMA II on higher graphics than the DayZ mod.

Please can someone reply to this question.

How the tits would we know? The game isn't out yet, upgrade if you can if you are that concerned.

Rocket reacted to this several times. There won't be higher requirements than for mod. Mod is using really complicated character models for zombies which caused a lot of performance issues. I think that HW requirements will be same or lower than for DayZ mod.

Although not sure if it will run smoother or not compared to vanilla Arma II :)

Great news, but the major aspect I'm waiting to hear about, which will only come through the closed beta testing, is what specifications are needed to run the game? We all know how terrible DayZ is to play, performance wise. Hopefully this information comes out within closed beta, as it's an announcement that will save me £300-500 in upgrades, or not.

Fantastic news however! :)

What about the zombie AI? Has any work/progress been made in that area? Has anything been done to actually make them a valid threat instead of a minor nuisance? Or are they basically the same with less soldier AI?

How will they behave in regards to enviormental obstacles (can also read: do bushes and fir trees still stop them)? What about closing a door/gate? Do they still slow down inside buildings?

Comrade Rocket, what is your favorite new clothing item that the artist have made? Some kind of coat? A balaklava?

Hello there

Being the skeptic that I am, I wonder how those will look on a normal PC with average settings? Hopefully, still as lovely though.

Do you think the Destroyed hotel is the very same area on the map image which is blackened and bunrned like?

And the backpack looks small compared to the SA one!

You'll have to get new forum moderators once the current ones get test invites because we'll never see 'em again.
