Guys, I want to come back to DAY Z! Please tell me there are less hackers!?!? I have a few questions!

I have taken a hiatus from Dayz for the last couple months because it seemed like hacking was all over and I was busy with work IRL. So ...Please take a minute to answer a fellow Dayz player's questions about potentially coming back.

1 - Please tell me that the hacking has gone down?

2 - Are there any solutions to server hopping yet!??! This was a MAJOR problem with dayz and EVEN worse with Warz and really jeapordizes the integrity of the game. So??

3 - Can hacking and server hopping be solved with any sort of temporary mickey mouse solutions!??! Do private servers or any known servers do a good job in shutting down these game breaking issues?

4 - I heard on IGN there are new maps besides cherno? Is this true? How many? How cool!

5 - Please summarize any major new patch changes that may seem relevant to a player gone for the last few months!

To cut a long story short all of the issues above have been dealt with buy private servers (if you find a good one).

Regarding the patches and specifics, check out the info section, the changelogs for every patch since you left are there and there's a lot of them :).

If you haven't already.. download DayZ commander.. You can get get like 12 new community based maps.. and a new style of DayZ called "DayZ+" read the deet's on that by yourself mate..

anyway, no bro.. hacking is still a problem but what is good news is that There are servers that whitelist people who are for shizzle not haxorz.. then you can troll the maps with no fucks given..

In all seriousness, hacking hasn't really been game breaking for me recently so maybe there is some set decrease.. I know of hackers and "with no moral justification" they are still going to find ways to hack.. which yes.. sucks ass. but its just life man..

Have you been able to fly in a plane yet? those are fun..

Yes I have not experienced a hacker in 2 months+. Especially on private servers like BMRF and such. Its almost completely gone.

Yes some servers make you wait 10mins before changing servers :)

They are, including combat logging. It's now got in-game restrictions on ALL servers public and private

4 - I heard on IGN there are new maps besides cherno? Is this true? How many? How cool!

From the top of my head:

-Namalsk

-Taviana

-Celle

-Lingor

-Taki

-Falluja

-Panthera

-Utes

-Zagrabad.

Personally I love Namalsk and Taviana the most. They are both SO different and awesome to the normal maps. Each have their own little unique things.

New weapons

New guns

New vehicles + helis + planes

New zombie animations + sounds

Other major stuff.

OK, SO, stupid question. I've used dayz commander before (and that other launcher as well...forget the name) and all went well mostly. Sometimes it wouldn't load up correctly....but the last few weeks I played it did.

For me to play on one of these private hives....what do I do with all this IP info etc on these links?? I'm used to just picking a game from the list on dayz commander or whatever but to join a private do I need to do something "else"? If so, would someone please tell me what I need to do to join one of these!???!

In DayZ commander, go to favorites and copy and paste the Ip in the IP box. Click add to favorites then join.

they are still around , they are just spread across like 8 maps and various hives now.

So, check this out. I'm playing on the map Taviana. Spawn in the city called "BOYE" which is on the right island bottom left side about. I walk to the very next two towns. The signs in GAME say "Noctonha" and "Cagnha". But the city names on the online maps are completely different. Any idea why?

ok. So thanks everyone. Been playing and enjoying the game a TON! Another question....I'm playing the game and for some reason when I aim my screen will "shake" alot. Like...it will bounce around a bit weird when I aim and then even when I don't aim after the screen will lightly bounce around. Anyone know what this is?

actually...what's happening is that in 3rd person point of view the screen is stable. When I switch to first person point of view it shakes....in prone, crouch, or standing....and it does the same thing when aiming.

Had survived for 9 days. Had a full supply of guns ammo and food. Only to be killed by a hacker who teleported to me and ganked me. Then my buddy guns the hacker down and it says he killed me LOL. Then the hacker respawns as me instantly so my buddy kills him again same deal. Hacking is way out of control in this game. Every server I went on last night had a few. Even the latest version of the server with active admins. Just isn't enough. Damage is done. We need stand alone no doubt about it. Hopefully it's a STEAM release with VAC support also and perma bans for licenses via STEAM. I love this game and was actually having a great time hunting bandits until Charles Manson showed up...

Needless to say I'm still playing but what a nightmare. I really need to find a SOLID active private server with a good mix of players. Or else I need to rent a server from Day Z Commander or whatever. Thought had crossed my mind. Game is extremely fun without hackers. I figured most would be busy hacking War Z where they should be but some still love to dance in Day Z.

sounds like you are cold, or need pain killers.

Have you been playing namalsk or been in the rain a lot? cold and you need a fire, heat packs, warm clothes, etc

Have you taken any damage, from zombies, players, or environment? Need painkillers.

New issue that really bothers me.

I just returned to Dayz after 2-3 months away...and played for a nice solid 3 hours today. Just five minutes ago the OOOOOLD issue where I have graphical "tearing" or black triangles showing up as I approacha military base just occurred. Can't believe this crap STILL happens. I'm playing no a whitelist map of Namalsk by the way.

These graphical issues are STILL in the game?!?! yeesh.

I am pretty sure Battle Eye stepped there shit up.

As far as I am concerned, there is only one hack up and running, it gets detected pretty much every other day,

Unless the fags want to spent $30+ running a program most likely infected with an encrypted rat, (Why would you ever trust a coder making hack clients? smh)

Believe it or not BattleEye does a good job.

No I don't script, I just understand the coding.

Besides it would just ruin the game for me.

hackers..... hackers everywhere..... (especially Taviana) - gameplay is different, no1 uses 1st person anymore... people are playing it like a social/wow game now where they just camp, spot, loot/hack. The SA will be a different game.
