I Lost My Cool

Hacking. Hacking is the worst. It will always be the worst. But listen to me, do NOT attempt it.

Well we have all been killed by hackers. Some know, it some don't. Some of us have been killed more times, some have been killed less.

I was an avid player of DayZ from early May to yesterday (December 27th). I say was because something happened. I lost my cool.

I have died many times do to hackers. Sometimes I was killed with no gear and no vehicles, other times I lost full kits and helicopters.

On Christmas eve I finally lost it. Me and a friend had just fixed us up a huey and Mi17. We were having a blast. We were giving rides because we felt like spreading Christmas joy. About 30 people were on the server and we were getting pretty popular. Not a single person shot at us. Best of my DayZ.

Anyways, to get to the point a hacker got on and decided to ya know teleport the whole entire server. He spawn us so far into debug plains that we would never escape. We spawn with no gear, no vehicles, not even a flashlight. I rage quit like most of the server.

Intent on getting back at the hackers and become the god I did something monstruous. I went on to google and searched everything I needed to hack. I then downloaded a so called battleye "bypass" and tried to use it. It didn't work. I continued to search until I had downloaded 8 different hacking programs. None worked.

I tried to get on yesterday and got slapped in the face with a global ban. Someone had stolen my CD-Key. I warn you, never attempt to hack. I was stupid, ignorant, and lastly I was being a child.

I apologize to the community for my attempted wrecking of your joy.

I'm sorry.

So long DayZ, I'm done.

And this is why I stick to Day Z and why War Z will never be able to be as good. You learn a lesson when you try to get around the rules in Day Z. You however do not get in trouble in War Z for these things which is why the game is in such a bad state.

So take note here folks.

Do not let your emotions control your actions.

Remind yourself that this is just a game.

Do not let yourself get sucked into War Z.

Sayonara. Good to man up and take your lumps and not ask to be unbanned or some such. Obviously as you know, two wrongs do not make a right. You should never lose your cool over a videogame. They're supposed to be fun. When they aren't, go do something that is.

I'm sure we've all thought about getting back at script kiddies via the use of their own scripts, this post only serves as evidence that two wrongs won't make a right in this case. Unlucky for you, but at the same time I hope people with malicious intent have also had their keys stolen.

Nope never.

Scripting is a no, no.

There is no "ethical hacking" or "robin hood" types in this game. If you script you're as bad as those who have attempted to spoil the game for others.

There are players and scripters.

I'm sorry OP had a bad experience but that's no excuse. Ban is justified.

I like that you took responsibility and aknowledged that you deserved what happened. My friend did the same thing and had to rebuy Arma... makes me wonder how many of those unique players are second, third, or fourth accounts of people who got caught with scripts/hacks.
