Just joined the site. Found the site while trying to find info about the standalone. Videos of the mod look better than the current *ahem* zombie mmo I have been playing. SO I am going to be getting Arma 2 this evening and the mod as well. I cannot wait for this standalone.

As for my username. I came up with this name back in 1998 or so when I signed up on what is now Gamespy Arcade. (Do not recall what it was back then, 'something' arcade.).

THEN two years later, Final Destination came out and everyone started telling me 'cool nic, love that movie' I did not get it from that movie just to be clear :). Not sure how I actually came up with it. Just popped into my head. I have been suing it ever since.

Look fwd to Dayz news and getting on any kind of 'testing list as I have done testing and bug detection/reporting in the past.

For me, Wailwulf came from the Anglo-Saxon puem, Battle of Maldon. It tells the tale of a Anglo-Saxon chief and his tribe fight a group of Viking raiders. The poem refers to some of the heroic Saxons as "Feeders of hawks and eagles" where it reffered to the invading Vikings as "feeders of crows and wolves" and reffered to one Viking as a "wailwulf" which literaly translates to "Slaughter Wolf" (or 'Wolf of Slaughter'). Did a search on Google at the time (1999?) and found no results, so claimed it for my own nick.

The thing is, I am usually the one getting slaughtered.

Well my user name in game is Ricky Bobby from Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby - Movie. Actor Will Ferrell is a NASCAR driver and I thought it was very funny and it would be easy to talk to me with a readable name. Sad part is , I always seem to die in a horrible fiery wreck if I use a vehicle in the game. <_<
