If the bandit skins are still in the standalone I'm going to be pissed.

Ok so I shot that guy in the face cos he looked at me funny, and I shot that other guy in the face cos he was eyeing my backpack with his ironsights. Oh so now I'm a bandit? Sorry don't call this is a realistic iimmersive experience when my clothes are being forceably changed so I stand out to everyone else as a murdering bastard. This games all about being anonymous, hence why there's no chat. I just think it's BS my skin is being changed based on some kind of punishing moral system? That's BS and it needs to stay out. If it was a real zombie apocalypse and i murdered a load of people cos I had to, I wouldn't start wearing their skins as clothing for when I run into more people.

TLDR : We do what we do to survive in the game, it's completely immersion breaking to have skins forced on your character that identify you as a killer, I want to keep that information to myself? So quit it already. Better not be in the SA.

I guarantee you'll be playing DayZ SA even with Bandit Skins. By then your butt wont be so hurt, you're nerd rage will have calmed and you'll buy it on release day.

I would still like there to be some sort of consequence for senseless murder, but I don't appreciate everyone taking shots at my bandit skin just because I had killed some survivors in self defense earlier.

I get the idea you don't know what that means.

There is no consequence that is the point bro, modern society and law has broken down its the zombie apocalypse! I'll shoot you in the face and eat your legs cos i'm hungry breh. Unless your wearing a chick skin in which case ill tie you to a tree and procreate with you.

that and the lack of zombies and easily aquireable firearms, and the need to scavenge for food.

You'd eat someone if you had to.

Yeah the point I'm trying to make is this game shouldn't have any kind of moral compass at all? Leave that shit to mass effect and dragon age.

Because Morals don't exist in reality, right? Long story short, if you went around killing people in a real apocalypse, people would know, and they would kill you. Skins is the game's way of portraying this.

Nothing is perfect, I'd rather have bandits skins than not tbh. Being able to choose whether you want to wear it or not would be a decent solution, those who want to admit that they're killers can while those who don't won't be forced.

Mass Effect and Dragon Age don't have moral compasses either but consequences. Did people feel bad when they beat up the TV reporter in ME? What was the incentive not to beat her? Your own personal choice as the game had no drawbacks to your decision. For me i didn't beat her because why the hell would my Shep do that? (military discipline and all eh?).

I don't find it being a moral compass but just a way to make it alittle harder and so balancing the game out for all. Anyways most bandits (not all) will ambush or snipe you from afar so it makes little difference what skin you have then. The rest either betray people they have convinced that they are friendly and the KOS ones that just shoot away with the itchy trigger finger. It obnly affects the tactics of the betrayer and even then you could still convince people by saying you got the sin through self defense.

Really whats the problem? It provides some more challanges for the Bandit and is that a bad thing?

The only people that would know, are the people that saw me do it. In a real life zombie apocolypse If I lead someone into a shed and stab them to death with a shank, and no one saw me do it, then no one would know, yet if I did that in this game, I would be wearing a bandit skin, lord knows how i got them, maybe a godhand came down and dressed me up?. And it's not about morals it's about shades of grey.

In most cases, murder or being witness to a form of brutality (especially if they participated) changes a person. For example, the "thousand yard stare" and such things. I'd like to see the symbols of a bandit be much more subtle but there should still be some indication that a person has lost their shit.

I think people are just like not really getting the fact that, in a game that's meant to try and be a simulation of a zombie apocolypse, it's pretty fuktarded that because i kill someone the clothes that i'm wearing are getting automatically changed? How does that fit in with the immersion exactly.

Correction, if you did that in this game, you would be a hacker as there is no shanks.

A bounty system may be good. I know there was a Book of the Guilty on Dark Souls that listed players and the severity of their crimes towards other players. The ones who went around murdering people were placed higher on the list and were more vulnerable to other players trying to take them out because of that.

There could be a system like that set up to display notorious mudrerers, which in my opinion, wouldn't be that much of a stretch from how things would actually be in a zombie apocalypse.

This is just an idea though; I don't expect everyone to agree.

Yeah I agree, maybe if you have done alot of murderering you can have a bit of blood spatter on you if its close ranged, but too be honest everyone should have the same basic clothes. Bandit skins are just the games way of holding the bad players hand and telling them to avoid X player or shoot on sight.

You seem to be purposefully ignoring the point I'm making in favour of going off in non-specific tangents which is a clear sign you got fuck all left to say.

If the bandit skin was a ghillie suit no one would be crying.

cos that would be a reward as opposed to being forced to look like a jihadist.

Well, no. I think I made my point clear, that the reason you get a skin is because there's literally nothing else to go by. There's no physical marks someone would have gotten from a conflict, there's no mental deterioration, and there's no trail of evidence to follow. So to make up for it, you get a skin. Otherwise there'd be literally no reason NOT to kill someone in this game, and that encourages complete PvP behavior which isn't what the mod is going for.

Also, it's hard to take your point seriously when you make a post claiming you'd shoot someone to eat their legs, "brah".

Oh, so if it makes the game easier then it's okay? What happened to immersion 'breh'?

They'll probably get rid of hero and bandit skins for the mod first before SA comes out, which isn't long, that's my guess anyways.
