Is server hopping bad?

Like, server hopping to different servers, while your on a Vehicle Spawn in hope to find a car, etc.

And then using it to loot and stuff.

Personally, I don't like it. There's some people that sit on Skalisty Island and hop from map to map until they find a heli. They then fix it up, fly it round for a bit and then trash it. It's why I stick to private servers for now, it just can't happen.

It is definitely bad. Just because you CAN drive your car on the wrong side of the road that does not mean you should. I hope server hoppers will be punished in the future, in annoying ways to match their annoying behaviour. :)

Yeah it is BAD imo. Specially if you're gunna go use these weapons against other players on a high pop server, which I take it you must be otherwise why go back to the high pop one.

To me its just a childish thing to do. I would bet that its mainly the younger ones that do this.

I agree, the idea of the game is for you to struggle and survive in a scarce environment. In my opinion server hopping is defeating that purpose. It degrades the value of the vehicle others work so hard to obtain.

I server hop all the time. Love server hopping the prison area for loot. But then i got my own server and have since decided that its easier to reset the server to refresh the loot then it is to server hop or pick up the loot and move it.

I have come across in several cases where some guy spawned in the middle of a supermarket, and I gladly them for their unfair gameplay and their stupid thinking.

The entire game idea is to scavenge and survive, not go to different servers because you can't find a fucking military rifle at an airfield. If you don't have the patience to loot, then you have no place within this community.

I don't have an issue with server hopping. I spent weeks and weeks on a public hive trying to find a vehicle because they were always hoarded by clans, or teleported somewhere by hackers. Then I spent hours looting tin cans at the NWAF to try and compete against dupers and hackers with an infinite supply of as50s, NVGs, Coyote packs etc, finding crashed helicopters is an absolute chore because I don't have a vehicle...

So yeah, if that's the kind of BS I have to compete with on public hives I'll server hop if I want to have some fun in a vehicle, or look for helicopter spawns for example.

It is very hypocritical of you to say that. What makes you think that you are better than those that dupe when you exploit a flawed game mechanic yourself by server hopping? Anyone can run to NW Airfield and gather up sexy loot by server hopping between low populated servers, you just can't select your loot as much and it takes more time to do. You are really just as bad as the ones that dupe in my opinion and you gain an unfair advantage over people that want to play the game as it should be.

If you just cant go without a vehicle then join a private hive with extra vehicles. They are normally more populated though so your loot may not be yours for long kinda defeating the purpose, but fun for a joy ride or two

Exactly anyone can do it, it's not some kind of super secret exploit, it's not some kind of hack you have to pay for, it's a simple mechanic that anyone and everyone can use. The only people I get an advantage on are the people who prefer to play Garbage Man Simulator 2012 and pick up/drop tin cans over and over again.

You are really just as bad as the ones that dupe in my opinion and you gain an unfair advantage over people that want to play the game as it should be.

You have the moral compass of a 5 year old. If you are the example of people who play the same "the way it should be", I'm glad I don't play that way.

My Official server and I paid for the game... So regardless of how you think I should enjoy the game I am going to continue playing it how I want to.
