My friends and I have started up a new Breaking point server and everything seems to be in working order, except for this one particular annoying bug. We can easily load in any object we want inside of a vehicle through the "load in" option and can unload vehicles through the VEHICLE CONTENT LISTING "unload" option, but when we try to unload a box, or container, or anything besides a vehicle (i.e. motorcycle, suv, and so on) we get the error "Script restriction error 110" and get kicked from the server. DATE/TIME: As soon as our vehicles spawned in about a week ago today. What happened: We loaded up a motorcycle and some food and medical boxes in the back of a hummer. We got back to our base and one of us unloaded the motorcycle and it unloaded fine, then when we tried to unload the boxes, the person who tried to do so was kicked, We have tried this with all sorts of different vehicles, even choppers, and the only things able to be unloaded are vehicles. But as soon as we try to unload even say a rifle from the vehicle content list we get kicked! Where were you: Anywhere on the map What we were doing: Trying to unload objects from the Vehicle content area (Not the normal gear area). Current installed version: Our server as well as all players have the most up-to date version of Arma 2, arma 2 OA, and breaking point mod installed Server you were on: HF game servers breaking point System specs: All different types Timeline of events: Since the server has been up, nearly two weeks now. We have been trying to find the line for the code to change to a 1 inside the configuration of the txt files but do not know which one to change. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

What do you want on a DayZ server?

what do you guys think of the scrip that allows players to take parts from vehicles? -
What do you want on a DayZ server?
Korsbaek replied to iccy (DayZ)'s topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
More vehicles. Not 1000+ vehicles. It should be a fair amount. People need to remember that in real life there would be working cars everywhere. A car not driving for a couple of years would still be in driving condition. Around 200 cars would be great for the whole map. -
What do you want on a DayZ server?

All I want from a server would be high difficulty. Having more loot, vehicles, buildings etc. custom crap would not fit in there and would ruin the experience. -
Concerning the KoS mentality and the value of life: unique skills
Xeva posted a topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Introduction Just to get started, this isn't a thread dedicated to nerfing the ever-loving balls off banditry. This is simply a suggestion to make the value of human life greater and for bandits to think twice about shooting that random survivor running down the street. Note: Similar things have been beaten to death already. This, I think, is different. Or maybe I'm just a noob at the search function. The Suggestion Currently the only thing worth anything is gear. Everybody can do anything given they have what they need to do it. This includes everything from giving somebody a blood bag to fixing a helicopter one bullet away from showering everybody nearby with shrapnel. While the jack-of-all-trades thing is very convenient, with it no single person is better than another aside from gunplay. Hence the conversion of such a large part of this community to banditry. I'm not suggesting any kind of leveling up system. Instead, I believe for life to have value everybody must be unique. If everybody was as intelligent as Einstein, Einstein wouldn't be worth much would he? There are many important things that must be done to survive in DayZ. Currently, as mentioned before, everybody can do all of this with ease. In real life this is not the case. I sure as hell don't know how to repair a car, let alone a helicopter. If I tried to give somebody a blood bag I'd probably end up accidentally stabbing them in the jugular. For this reason different survivors should start out with different knowledge, be especially skilled in a particular practice, and be able to teach others the basics of that practice. This provides a necessity for player interaction. Before you go down to the comments and start raging over not being able to put on a bandage immediately, these skills don't necessarily apply to basic things like that. For example, you can loot a supermarket for food but you don't really know how to carve up a boar for its meat. You can apply a bandage but you don't know how to make a disinfectant for your wound. However, people who do know and are experts at this can teach you how to do it. To further elaborate on this idea, the skills could all have a system in which you progressively get better at it through practice. For example, say you start out with knowing how to gut animals for meat steaks. However, another survivor needs a blood bag. You currently don't have the ability to administer a blood bag. The survivor does know, and quickly teaches you how to do it. Your are now a novice at administering blood bags. After bagging the survivor, you have 10% progress towards being adept at administering blood bags. For clarity, here's the "levels" of skills: Untrained: 0% success rate Novice: 60% success rate Adept: 90% success rate Expert: 100% success rate, able to train others to novice. (numbers debatable) Once you train all your skills to being Adept or Expert, congratulations! You are now an ordinary survivor who doesn't need to make interactions with players anymore. Welcome back to your old style of play. Except now getting here is much harder, and not dying is more of a priority than ever. When a group of bandits takes you hostage, you're gonna wanna shout through direct that you're that jack-of-all-trades, right? Conclusion What really makes me enthusiastic about these skills is that it opens up so many possibilities for trade, deception, and making friends. Perhaps somebody has a DMR and another guy has the ability to fix a helicopter. They could make a trade out of that, or possibly even decide they like each other and team up. On the other hand, somebody might say they have an ability, get the other to come out of hiding, then shoot him for his gear. It's technically shooting on sight, but not before some interaction has made its way in there. It's a situation in which both sides have an equal opportunity to change the outcome. If the guy suspects it's a trap, he can try to save his own life by running for fighting. It's not a deathmatch. Combined with the damaging of items when you shoot somebody for gear, the motivation to let somebody live to see what he has to offer is pretty astounding, at least in my opinion. Side Notes This topic is highly debatable. I encourage discussion and discourage unintelligent ranting. If you don't like it, say why not. I want to hear your opinions. Despite my apparent fascination with this specific idea, I'm open to many suggestions and am willing to tailor this to you guys' input. Which skills are automatically known and which skills you can learn is debatable. I haven't really thought about it for lack of input from the community at the time of writing this thread. Also, what skills actually exist is currently a mystery (Until the SA drops we can't be sure of everything the devs have put in). As such, I've only mentioned blood bags and repairing vehicles as an example. I realize it's highly likely this type of thing has probably been beaten to death but I have yet to see much actual discussion going on about it. However, should the community speak, so shall this thread enter the great beyond, never returning from the mystical land that is the graveyard. Tl;dr Skills you can learn from somebody to encourage player interaction. -
Add the HMMWV Ambulance please :)
Chaingunfighter replied to LilBambi's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Because it's implied that Chernarus received foreign support. Also, the UH-1H and HMMWV were (and continue to be) heavily exported, so it's not exactly impossible for Chernarus to have them. I don't get why people assume that Post-Warsaw Pact countries only use Russian cold war shit, because they don't. Chernarus is based off of the Czech Republic (for the most part), and the CR utilizes many different NATO/Former USSR weaponry and vehicles as well as makes a fuck ton of their own. -
First vs Third Person Discussion (Dslyecxi video)
mercules replied to DemonGroover's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
1. Yes, the majority have 3rd person turned on. Yes the majority of the players play on those servers. That doesn't mean it is the best option for DayZ going forward. The majority of the people in the world live in China but that doesn't mean we should all learn to speak Chinese and adopt their culture. What happens is that we go where the people are and where our friends are. I have friends that don't mind 1st person at all, but find 3rd easier and sometimes just want to go the easy route. They would not complain (much or for long) if 3rd person was removed but since it is available they take the path of least resistance. Even they admitted in a discussion not long ago that the game is different in 1st person. When I asked why I shouldn't switch my server over to forced 1st the main reason they gave me was that it was a bit more difficult to drive vehicles and that the other servers have 3rd on and since we sometimes hop over to other servers we might as well be used to it. Basically once you give 3rd person as an option to use everyone does because it makes the game simpler and gives tactical advantages. That means there is no, "Why can't we allow both?" because one excludes the other when both are available. 2. You stepped awfully close to Godwin's Law there. Yeah, I might cut our your style of play to get my own but that is because your style of play ALREADY excludes my preferred style. Yes the mass of people who can't handle it want to play 3rd person, but only because it is the easy route. The conception of DayZ was never "easy route", not from the first days. I didn't play back during the early releases but I watched the videos and they were great, especially the ones on servers that only had 1st person. Now if you want numbers of players then you go to the 3rd person servers or turn yours into 3rd person so that "easy mode" is on and people will come. 3. Check out this debate as it concerns Mechwarrior Online. Previous Mechwarrior games had 3rd person but WMO does not. Devs stuck to their guns and the game is better for it. Trust me, all the reasons given in this thread came up and were dismissed because they really don't have merit when dealing with this sort of game. It is, "P.S. I'll be over on the daylight server." and I'll be feeling bad that you won't be able to experience how good Day Z can be. Then again the only person you are cheating out of a good experience is yourself. -

First vs Third Person Discussion (Dslyecxi video)
Feral (DayZ) replied to DemonGroover's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
best suggestion I've seen is this you only ever see players, zeds, loot, vehicles etc that are within your characters First person FOV, whether in 3rd or first person. This way it enables Third person guys to check their surroundings, see how well hidden their character is and how pretty he looks when he runs through a forest. But he has no advantage at all over other players. -

I think this is a perfect opportunity for the devs to think hard about it and make the decision. Vehicles are being redesigned from scratch, animations and character movement/stances is a work in progress. If they just design those with 1st person view only in mind, nearly every complaint and issue is solved right there. FOV slider is already in the game and we can see our character in 3D in the inventory screen too. A much better solution than implementing a complex, context sensitive restricted 3rd person view that is never going to be perfect anyway. -

Yeah it is funny how footage comes out straight away by some streamers if they do well and none at all if they die early. Btw i think they should remove all vehicles apart from perhaps bikes. -

No I mean flatter clearings really, camo nets for vehicles.Farms stretch for further out with larger forestry patches inbetween the crappy farms. If the map gets bigger... Wouldn't you like a couple bush runways? It would be a nice change from military hangers and Air control towers anyway right?

What the F#@k is wrong with the DayZ players today? I remember when I first started playing DayZ, at least a year ago. You remember when somebody would say "Anybody in Cherno?" and you could watch side chat, 5 minutes later, they would team up with somebody else who was marooned in Cherno by themselves and then they would head north and play some mother flippin' dayz. These days however, "Anybody in Cherno?" is usually followed by a death message.I understand that over time, players have developed the "don't trust anybody mentality", because of bandits and player killers. That i understand, but its the absolute cowardice and shameful behavior of today's players that is ruining the game. I recently rented a server, its still very low pop, I wont use this as an opportunity to do a plug, because I'm sure whomever shows up will be a real piece of crap and ruin my experience. I was playing today, just now, when i was inspired to create this rant. I broke my leg and was killed by zombies. I re spawned. No gear, just a "vest pouch" a can of beans and a bandage. There were only two other players on the server. I went on to looting. I found an M16, one mag, some food and even a big ass 12 slot backpack. I was owning it. I'm running down the east coast, in the tree line, and a player runs out in front of me, small world!?. it scared me! I myself have been corrupted, i popped off a few rounds. He evaded me in the pine trees. i followed in the direction he was headed for a little bit with no real hostile intentions, I immediately regretted shooting at him. I saw a zombie, shot it. he may have heard it. i figured i had lost him and I'm pretty sure he was a new spawn because i don't think i saw a gun. I decided to leave him alone. Then i caught a glimpse of him in the distance. What the heck?, I'll follow him and see what he does. I followed him into Solinichy, or whatever its called. Keeping my distance. I had to shoot another zombie, I'm sure he heard me shoot. Then i saw him again, he ran to the end of a dock and logged out. His buddy who was on also, then began trying to distract me telling me there was a chopper somewhere or whatever.. I didn't respond, I knew what he was trying to do. A minute later, the other one logged out too. These guys would play on this server for hours at a time. Nobody bothered them because there rarely was anybody on. Fixing vehicles, crashing them. Fixing a helo, crashing it, they were persistent little turds. But, because of that little interaction, they haven't been back. I laugh, because if they can't handle that, then what are they gonna do on another server with lots of players? ridiculous. Some 12 year old kid shoots at you, and misses, and then loses site of you, they are sure to be gone 30 seconds after for fear of a counter attack. So if somebody shoots at you, you d@mn well better kill them in less than 30 seconds. What if they hit you? and your about to die? They don't even have the guts to stay and finish the job most of the time. So your stuck with a broken leg 2000m from any potential source of morphine. and not a decent person in site to put you out of your misery. The human interaction aspect of the game is garbage now, because your not interacting with humans anymore. Your dealing with some young, dumb 12 year old, that doesn't know jack squat about being a man and doing the right thing or some DayZ veteran that has been torn, by the behavior of the average DayZ scumbags, that run rampant today. I don't usually mess with people on my server, unless they are trash talking or being complete dbags. I try to be nice and help people. If somebody needs a ride. i give it to them. I don't care if i notice that they are holding a DMR as they approach the car. i get killed a lot by the players on the server. I'm ok with that, I understand that if your getting shot at by everyone and lied to and tricked by bandits and trolls and abusive admin, when you come to a server without that, you still act the same way. i get it. but its just a game? Wouldn't you have more fun playing it with others the way it is supposed to be played? If you get scared and log out, then your playing it all wrong. Its not real life. Its a simulation. Act the way a decent human being would act in that situation. Of course i realize that most people today aren't decent human beings but... hey, what can ya do? What I'm trying to say is this, Play the game the way it was meant to be played. Screw all the stupid youtube videos with "hero bandits". its a shame that this is what it has come to. the whole point of the game is to survive as long as you can, to realize who you would be in a situation like that. "whats your story?". That's the caption for the game,"whats your story?", not "how much of a scum bag are you?". Those guys that make the videos don't last very long in game. i know that player versus player is an important aspect of the game, but its not the only one. I blame most of the admins for this. If the server doesn't have 10,000,000 vehicles or some bogus script mods to make it easier, they wont play, because its too hard. WELL SCREW THEM! Don't accommodate those little pricks. They are the reason that the game is the way it is now. Keep your severs vanilla. If your players don't like that then they should go play WOW or pokemon or whatever little girls play nowadays. if they cant spawn in with a gun and find a vehicle within the first 10 minutes to go to the NWAF and find a helo, they dont wanna play it, because they'll get shot and have to start over boo hoo:.( because its too hard that way. What do you think they would do if they had a helo with m240s on it. THEY WOULD PLAYER KILL! Do you see what i mean? That's everybody's goal now is to get geared up and kill players because that's what they've been taught, by guys like "Frankie"( i love to watch Frankie"s vids because of how he interacts with people, but these kids just see him killing other players and think that is how is supposed to be done, they wanna be "beast" like Frankie.). but if you do the same to them, they dont like it. I play on my server all the time, i don't cheat and spawn crazy stuff for me, because its not fun that way. I rented a server because i like to play DAYZ. I don't like to play on other servers where they are overrun with admin buddies and the cooperative aspect has been destroyed. Its frustrating to play now... maybe I'm not explaining it well enough. I am afraid of what is going to happen with this game. I love this game. I love Zombies, I love the human nature aspect of this game. But dear God, this cant be it. This cant be the way that people are. It didn't use to be like this. I pray everyday that the zombie apocalypse happens, but recently, my lack of faith in humanity, has changed my mind. If it did happen for real, we would all probably just get trolled for our beans by some 12 year old with a .50cal.. I wouldn't be surprised if the SA is a flop. I know everyone will get it when it comes out, but they will quickly realize that ultimately it is the same as the DayZ mod. A bunch of 12 year olds, without the testicular fortitude to behave like decent self respecting human beings. and they will ruin the SA just like they have the mod. Maybe I'm taking it too seriously? I don't know. Don't get me wrong though, I love to mess with people. One of my favorite things to do now (unfortunately) is to shoot "at" a player. Don't hit him, just shoot at him. Watch what he does. Shoot at them and then press the "P" key. You will not be surprised. if they don't log out, you will hear them whimper on side chat. That's pretty much what will happen. But every once in a while, they'll man up, and stay in, and stay alive. A glimmer of hope? I don't do this to all the players on my server, but every once in a while, I'll mess with a "regular". They may log out and never return. Or we will have a nice laugh about it and call a truce and play the game together, like its supposed to be played. I don't care either way. I'd rather have no players on my server then 50 Dbags. If there were no players on my server that would be the only way to get a real simulation of a zombie apocalypse, because there wouldn't be anybody. Just me. With my morals intact. Maybe I'm too opinionated? Yes i am. It is my strong opinion that the apocalypse will be a lonely place because very few people would have what it takes to survive, and if you were to meet somebody, you would have to kill them, because our society is rotten to the core. Back stabbing Cowards. I'm not totally sure of what this rant was supposed to be about, i just needed to get if off my chest. Because I care about this game, and i care about the future of this game. I've been playing video games since Atari, Yes, I'm old. I'm 26. I've seen everything. I've watched this younger generation grow up, right behind me, in a totally different world. I remember the toys i had when i was a kid in comparison to what kids grow up with nowadays... Lets just say when i was a kid, my buddies would have beat me up if i was being brought up like the generation after us. I remember if my dad caught me wearing "pads" or a helmet to ride my bike or skateboard, he would have laughed at me, my mom too. They wanted us to grow up tough. they wanted us to fall and get hurt. And we did. I've probably had more injuries in my first 12 years, than today's pansy ass 23 year olds in total. It was literally that quick of a change. I'm so glad that i was born when i was and not 3 years later. I did 4 years in the United States Marine Corps, EERRRRAAAHHH! I know a thing or two about "human nature" in a stressful environment. And the weak morals of today's society could never hack it in a situation like this, because you can't combat log in real life. Instead, you would die because your a coward and you would be petrified when the bullets start flying. I'm terribly sorry if you hated reading this, I'm sure you probably did, because statistically your just another DayZ Dbag. However, In the rare case you are not, and your moral fiber is mature enough for a game like this, PLEASE!!!,please, don't let them ruin you. don't let them destroy this game, just like they did the little plastic green and tan army men i had when i was a kid, i cant find them anymore, and if i do, they are crappy, made in china garbage that wouldnt be worth the "blackcat" that i would tape to them and send them to hell on, those tan scumbags!.. Whenever there is something good, it always gets ruined by these very people. And everybody else that gives a d@mn, doesn't have it in them to fight for it anymore. Just like this country is going down the toilet. I know somebody out there feels the same way as i do. there has to be!. there just has to be some decent people out there than can appreciate this game as i do.... i cant be the only one... ..."Anybody in Cherno?"

I'm not sure if this has been suggested, but here it goes: So third person has been a target of debate in the standalone, mainly because it is very exploitable (looking around corners, looking behind things etc) so why not set it out like this: Players, zombies, loot, vehicles and anything of interest is invisible until your character is directly facing it. So it will seem as though nothing is there if you're looking there in third person. Hopefully then it will encourage more people to use first person in firefights and engagements. If you're hiding behind a wall in 3rd person, scanning for players no-one will appear, but as soon as your character is facing them, they appear again. The human eye can see ~150º if the internet is correct, so players in a 150º FoV will appear to the player. I have edited a large portion of this suggestion as most people seem to be focused more on the third person idea rather than the others. Thats all for now, please tell me what you think.
-
Vehicles wont be in the standalone for a while (from what I hear there's some internal debate as to have them in at alpha release 'as is' (meaning buggy as hell) or wait till they have the new 'system' in then readd vehicles) Also, they have to pretty much start over from scratch with everything, not just import the 'base model' in. For Mod, Id say yes. Standalone? Maybe if it had either UN, NATO, CDF, or some Civilian markings I'd believe it being there (Since the US Army sells off some of its older equipment rather than pay to ship it back quite often). I would rather see a purpose built or civilian conversion ambulance than just a Copy Paste military model.

Global ban appealing (We can't make is prettier, we can make it easier!)
Memphista posted a topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
This post is for whoever thinks they have been banned by BattlEye for a reason that would not involve breaking the rules. First of all I would like to make it clear what types of bans there are: - Database Ban (issued by DayZ) - Server Ban (issued by server owner) - Global Ban (issued by BattlEye) The DayZ staff does not issue the BE global bans and therefore are unable to be of assistance with unbanning you. Database Ban: You can appeal a Database ban here Server Ban: Most servers are run by Clans with specific forums where you can appeal to bans. To find out where to go the name of the server usually holds the clan name and from there you could easily search for their forums to sumbit your appeal there. The final decision if you are welcome on their server once again is up to them. Do note some clans have more then just one server and might ban you from all their servers. Now.. Global Ban a.k.a. BattlEye Ban Appealing to a BE ban is pretty easy to be very honest. Exact quote from the BE website: If you are globally banned, please include your exact (!) global ban ID in your support request. The ID is shown in your global ban message ("Global Ban #ID"). Without it we won't be able to process your request. Otherwise your individual case will be carefully investigated. Please also note the following before sending in your request: No one is banned for using non-hack programs (like Fraps, overlays, etc.), picking up or using hacked in-game items, weapons or vehicles, being on a server at the same time as a cheater, or other passive non-cheating activity. It doesn't matter if you only cheated on your own private server. Cheating on BE-enabled servers is forbidden, period.A shared or stolen cd-key is no excuse. Stories of the survivors
Banana Boat replied to thunderjaguar6's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I've had DayZ since the end of July and have been playing it since, mainly MP, some SP. (I like to have a bit of variety in DayZ) but anyway, on to the story. I freshly spawned outside of Elektro, armed with a double barreled and a makarov. (Yes, the two WORST guns in the game. If I spawned with a hatchet aswell I'd have picked the hatchet and trashed the DB)... So I head into the city. The server I was on had around 15 players online, around 10 or 11 of them were bandits sniping eachother in Balota airstrip so I knew that I had a chance of getting some loot in Elektro, so without hesitating I head to the brick houses and find a Winchester and some food and cokes. I head up to the firestation, nothing there. So I go to the supermarket and I find a tent. Boom, beautiful. I then head up to the hills pretty happy with my find and not worrying about anything. I plan the next two or so hours out ingame. I set up camp, keep my favourite gun in the tent, try raiding some hospitals, the usual. As soon as I set up my camp I hear someone in direct. He said to me "Yo bro, nice camp" I turn around to see a survivor who had no weapon, no sidearm or backpack. (He was a total noob) I reply in direct to to him and after a bit of talking we finally agree to work together. At the time I thought "Woohoo, a guy who I can trust" and we spend a couple hours getting gear and supplies for our camp. By the end of the day we had an SUV which was fully repaired, a FN FAL, a DMR, Revolvers and a CZ with one mag. Plus a few more tents, so we're doing amazingly for a few hours work. (I took screenshots so I remember what we got) I added him on steam and we agreed to meet in the morning for some more farming for items, and thats exactly what we do the next day. This continued for several days and we gradually got more and more skilled at looting and stealthing, etc. By the end of the week we were both heroes which was pretty awesome. Two more days pass, and we both log on to find our six tents, full of backpacks, rifles, pistols, food, pepsi, bandages, blood bags, etc had ALL been robbed. Even our vehicles had been stolen. There was literally nothing left apart from what we had on us. This was a big shock to us both, as we had got so far! So we decided to try and start another camp, but in Elektro we got sniped then robbed of our gear. We were back to square one. We had nothng apart from the crappy double-barreled and a makarov. I call him on skype and we both think what the hell, we have enough food and drink for us to head to NEAF. Thats right. North-east Airfield. The lost airfield of Chenarus. We thought it'd have some good loot there because no one ever goes there. I myself, had never gone there before. We spend around an hour heading to NEAF through the woods in the middle of the map, looking in deer stands and stuff, but there was no luck. We were relying on NEAF to bring us back to being awesome. After a long journey, we arrive at the airfield. We look around everywhere and find nothing. This is the weird part that forced me to share this awesome, but so extremely strange DayZ experience that it bothers my mind until this very day. You ready? We decide to head back and hopefully die from the zeds or something, when out of the clear blue sky came around twenty players, from out of the buildings we just searched. Then an SUV and a beaten up UAZ arrived. They were the cars that were stolen from us... And this is the best part. The guy who I teamed up with started walking towards the whole army of players who just ambushed us. He blasted one guy in the head and picked up his revolver. Then four other players started chanting whilst the army of psychos were walking toward me. He then shouted out some kind of chant, and everyone, I mean everyone started shooting their shotguns at me. I ran away trying to dodge the shots but one clipped me in the back, then another, and another. I fell to the ground, passed out and losing blood. He then ran up to me. MY friend, who I had teamed up with for so long, removed a hatchet from his toolbelt and started hacking away, whilst singing. I swear to Jesus Christ this happened. No kidding. I have no idea why he'd do this. Maybe for the lulz? To prank me? I dont know. After that minor wobble, he stopped playing DayZ altogether until a week ago. If this was a prank, I'm gonna get him back so hard he'll be forced to post his experiences on to a thread like this. Like yours truly. I apologise for any grammatical and spelling mistakes in this post. I'm on my iPad at the moment. -
First vs Third Person Discussion (Dslyecxi video)
Fraggle (DayZ) replied to DemonGroover's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
@ Teo - You could argue that for every single thing in DayZ though. "Just let the admins decide!".... "Choice is key!"... I couldn't disagree more. This is probably the last thing I'll post on the matter because I'm just repeating myself now but... Decisions that are key to the very core experience of DayZ need to be taken away from the admins. The last year has shown that given the choice, players will generally choose the path of least resistance. By far the most popular public servers for a while had stupid starting loadouts, rediculous amounts of vehicles, pay to win elements and anything else that could be added to basically make the game "easier". Many of these players haven't even had the chance to play DayZ in the spirit it was intended. That's not their fault, it's a result of admins having too much choice and not really caring for the game, just wanting full servers to boost their ego's and wallets. Edit - Well Dsi1 ninja'd me with almost exactly the same point, it's good to know I'm not going mental , great minds think alike B) -
Need a server control panel (please read)!
WilliamE552 posted a topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
I'm sorry if this is in the wrong forum admins, I thought this would be the correct place to write this discussion. Please correct me if i'm wrong! Anyway.. I know someone who owns a server hosting company, i've made a special request for them to start doing DayZ Servers in which they accepted the challenge. The only problem they have is creating a decent control panel and until then they need to purchase a control panel. PLEASE can anyone link a good control panel which does the following - Basic hive tools (teleporting, adding custom buildings, spawning vehicles, teleporting vehicles and so on) - basic map tools (showing player and vehicle locations in a live map) - custom scripts adding - custom mod adding e.g. 2017, Epoch and so on - server time setting - custom load outs - custom MOTD and so on. They will be selling DayZ servers for only £9 per month. This includes FREE web hosting. PLEASE guys comment below and help these guys out!! And again, apologies to anyone if i've posted in the wrong section. If so please PM me so I can move it! Thank you!! Nxt Gen are the lads needing the help. Check them out - http://nxtgenhost.com -
