New server up and running.....I am keeping it pretty close to vanilla there are a tad bit more vehicles selfblood bag full moon nights and add crashsites but other than that its pretty much the same. I am taking requests as long as they are with in reason. 199.217.115.210:2382

Would the experienced bandit approve of lieing. Would you tell a player that you are friendly and that you would give them gear, vehicles etc. when really you are just going to shoot them when they arrive? I have used that tactic myself but I did not say anything that was false. All I did was drive a car to a location, mark that location on the map. Tell everyone that there was a car at that location (and of course there was a car there) and then I just sniped all the people who came to that area. Do you guys approve of that. Is that alright to do. I did not lie? I ask this because I was recently misled into thinking that this bandit was giving lifts to people at a specific location. I immediately responded asking his location and he gave it to the whole server. I was initially heading to kill this guy and do everyone a favour but then a few people actually met this guy and did get lifts all over the map. I decided maybe I'd help this guy and headed to the location only to be blown up when he asked to me to get in the chopper (He had obviously rigged it with satchels) I then told everyone on side chat to stay away from him but then he gave the bread and butter response saying that I had tried to kill him. Is that what a bandit should do? I think that if you are going to be a bandit, have some honour, tell people the truth or just kill them outright instead of weasling your way into their friendship circle and then betraying them.

When I lost my svd and bizon sd to a bandit was the turning point for me. I respawned later on and headed to elektro. Hearing a DMR go off I got happy. I headed to the lone firestation and headed up the stairs hearing someone cough. I ran up to the second floorand saw my kill, sitting in a corner. I shot immediately, my .303 leaving a perfect, round hole in his head. He got a bullet into my leg, breaking it. I happily looted his body picking up a DMR, m9 sd and a coyote. I used his morphine, regaining the ability to walk and headed out of elektro, pleased with myself. While making my way too a rendezvous with my buddy on ts I looted a deer stand and luckily found a m24. I met up with my friend and gave him the m24 with lots of ammo. We drove around up north, finding a few good vehicles until we got bored. That was when my buddy said it: "I really wanna' use this thing." We picked up another car and headed to Kamenka, setting up a trap along the northern road leading out of the town. We told everyone that there was a free car north of Kamenka and marked it on the map. We took up a position overlooking the car and used a stone wall sorrounded with trees for cover. I gave my buddy some training every sniper should know before hunting their first man. He zeroed his rifle for 200m and I kept watch while he prepared himself and surveyed our rear. I was just taking out a few zombies when we saw our first target. "He's running up the road to the car!" I screamed over teamspeak and took aim, holding the crosshairs over his head and giving him a 3 mil lead. I held my breath and squeezed the trigger. The bullet missed by a mile. The first shot is always the worst. I recovered from the recoil and this time gave the target a 1 mil lead. That one hit him, right in the chest. He fell down and finished him off. My friend went down to hide the body whilst I covered him. The next guy got no warning. It was time for my apprentice to get his first kill. I spotted the guy running through a field to the car. I gave my friend his location and he got the poor guy in his scope. I waited patiently for the shot. I heard his rifle go off after the guy fell down. He got a kill with his first shot, ever. "He's a natural." I thought to myself and once again covered him while he hid the body. Karma, of course, was right around the corner which ended up with me dying and losing all my precious loot while I told my friend to get to the car and get to cover. With luck I spawned in kamenka and went back to retrieve the remains of my body. The sniper was gone and so was my DMR. We headed to the NWAF in a offroad pickup truck and on the way looted a heli crash site which seemed picked clean besides a hidden l85 holo. It turns out someone marked our position on the map and thats what lead to me being killed. I do not regret being a bandit. Everyone turns eventually. I try to be a good bandit though. I kill new spawns (not like they have anything to lose) and teach them how to survive the hardway :) -

Map changes: - Custom town west of Kamenka. - Fire stations added in Balota and North-East Airfield. - Barracks added in Balota, Cherno (harbor), Elektro (harbor), Stary and North-East Airfield. - Hospital added in Vybor. Extra vehicle spawn: - Now up to 300. The server is more focused on PvP rather than PvE. WIth a more ease-of-access of weapons, players will no longer have to travel all the way to NWA and Stary to get over-average gear. With additional vehicle spawn it shouldn't be too hard to find cars around the server. The server restarts every 3rd hour. Join us and have fun!

There's an issue with bounding box's and zeds wont always attack choppers. They attack a little better in cars and bike's but choppers are very hit and miss. Too be fair we haven't had time to investigate this issue much just now but we know its one of the reasons Dean never had zeds attacking vehicles.

We started a server, Planet F8L, 200+ Vehicles, extra chopper crashes, donation bases, cleared roads, EXTRA LOOT building in towns (Currently adding more), an Uber Anti-hack, Towing, SELF-BLOOD-BAGGING, Make car parts FROM CANS, full moon nights, SUPER active Admins, we also have a TeamSpeak server, along with MINECRAFT on HEXXIT! TLDR: Just because Teamspeak has friendly banter, it doesn't mean you need to trust everyone and play friendly. And also, don't be a douche! Just thought I'd post some advice for new players. Compared to other servers, we've got a very friendly Teamspeak (which all players are obliged to use). However, this can cause problems if it isn't used thoughtfully. One of the main problems is that people get too friendly and end up agreeing not to shoot each other or raid each other's camps. That's all very nice, but these informal alliances can actually make the game quite boring. The other problem is that some people run with each other temporarily, building a camp and repairing vehicles, but then they part ways and change groups. In that situation it is very hard not to betray your former comrade's stashes to your new friends. So I suggest the following to protect yourself: · Don't give your position in TS (or sidechat), unless you are actually looking for some PvP action. · If someone does unwittingly give their position, think before you run off and hunt them, whether it would be an satisfying, honourable kill. · Move to another channel if you need to discuss your tactics, plans, camps or vehicles with a comrade. · Never show people your vehicles or bases - even the nicest people cannot be trusted with a secret. If you do get shot by someone after saying your position or where you're heading, it's basically your own fault! Also, so you don't get a reputation for being a douche: · Only make promises and allegiances that you can honour. Think about your deals carefully, and how it will affect your gameplay. · If a person has shown you location in trust, then respect that as far as you can if you 'switch sides': Keep the information to yourself. · You don't need to rape & destroy every single camp you find. Sometimes it's better for overall gameplay to take just what you need and leave. · Never say that you're friendly on TS and then shoot a person when they come to meet you; lying is not a valid tactic, and may get you banned. -

A little about us: ]TPG[ is a casual, community-based gaming clan. We were started as a CS:S and TF2 clan, but we've since evolved and expanded into many other games, including DayZ. Of the games we play, we take DayZ the most seriously. That being said, we're about having a good time and surviving - not about being douches. We operate US 106, a 50-man DayZ private hive that has been around for 6+ months. The server features AI patrols (survivor, bandit, soldier) customized loot spawns/additional weapons (redone so that you don't get junk 95% of the time with this patch + cleanup is 30mins vs 60) self bloodbag (3k self-health), super bright night with streetlights/houselights, pulling parts off vehicles, additional weapons not in regular DayZ (ak's with grenade launchers anyone?) and custom buildings. As well, custom basebuilding will be in sometime in the upcoming week for all of our players! We recently redid our first server - (198.24.161.202:2302) TPG Private Hive Virginia US 106 [DayZ 1.7.7.1/103718][Regular][170+VEHICLES][AI PATROLS][bRIGHT NIGHTS][uTC-06][self Bloodbag][Redone Loot]"; - a 50-man day/night cycle, DayZ Chernarus private hive server based in Virginia, and there are many members and regs playing throughout the day. We aim to be a friendly survivor group, but we won't hesitate to kill known bandits or defend ourselves or our gear. DayZero apparently runs really well, I haven't tried it though personally. It's pretty similar to the official DayZ mod but they have rewritten/overhauled a lot of the systems to increase performance, changed a lot of the weapons to make them more authentic, added some new vehicles (including a glider), replaced the combat logging system with their own version and added some new zombie skins and player clothing (based on your humanity)

Triple-TGaming.Com are a new multi genre adult gaming community. Hey guys, was playing DayZ, flying a helicopter when suddenly my camera started to begin to spas out to the point where i was unable to control my helicopter, and I was ready to leave the game and let the helicopter crash and burn with a good old altf4. Instead i decided to land and When i got out of the helicopter my crosshair locked on to my friend Jacob (the person you can hear in the game). In the clip i wasn't even holding my mouse or moving my character it just did itself. I even wiped my mouse over him multiple times as you can see and it continued to lock on like i had some sort of aimbot even though i still had full contorl over my character. Here is the footage - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sir8L4AhfWs The weird thing was i couldn't lock onto any vehicles or the players within the vehicles. Unfortunately we didn't get to test more of this "aimbot" as the helicopter tried to take us out :( so i flew straight into them. I was wondering if this is caused by the server being on regular? but this isn't the first time it has happened. Has anyone else had this happen to them? it's not really a problem, i'm just curious to why it would happen. Thanks

Personally, I think it boils down to a lack of imagination. This is not a linear game with missions or pre-determined plot development. To understand the appeal of KOS is to have played the game literally to death, and to have seemingly exhausted all goals one could possibly set for themselves, either as a solo survivor or as part of a group. Some players choose to KOS from day one, others with the best intentions are betrayed & feel vulnerable instigating contact after a few encounters go pear-shaped. Could be killed just for your pasta in the latest patch, or that slim chance you're carrying rare meds. Perhaps the killers only play spasmodically, and aren't keen on the slower-paced (time consuming) repairing of vehicles, finding heli-crashes in the north, hunting animals & building camps, so they pack those few hours with as much action as they can muster. At the end of the day, you can never have an all-encompassing 'reason' for KOS because everyone has different MO's leading to their fun/10 rating. Having the biggest cities right on the coast (where you spawn) is probably a factor as well, I hardly see anyone up north anymore. With so many private hive servers & extra barracks/fire-stations everywhere, KOS seems to be the no-brainer playstyle - it's clear to me that a lot of the current player base has had enough of running simulator 2013.

I have played DayZ Arma2 for about a month now and I have mixed feelings about the game, tried various servers with unique setups and scripts, bagged my share of kills, had some fun combat expierence, sniped lots of bambis and played long enough for a review of this game The whole concept of DayZ is amazing but there are endless problems/bugs with setup and gameplay and I wont list them all, just the most crucial physics bugs that need fixes for final release.(Viewed latest standalone demo videos) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Basic Character Control/Movement The limitations of character movement in DayZ are uncreative and bugged. No Ability to Climb or Jump: Not talking about a mountain here ;) , only being able to climb over 3 foot rock or ontop of a crate or a vehicle or a roof of low building (expands on tactical advantages and escaping from zombies) Cant expect move parkour style through city but the complete lack of being able to jump over and climb small simple barriers is pathetic right? Jumping out of windows & Fall landing phsyics: There should be funtion to escape out of windows (same function should let zombies crawl into windows), if you are on ground level, trapped and need fast escape route why not smash window and jump out. Also the fall phsyics are bugged, once a 4 foot drop killed my character put him in coma haha, when drop any small distance it freezes your character controls for about 5-8 seconds (very buggy) Fast Stealthy Melee Attacks The biggest problem in DayZ is melee combat, there is no hotkey function to grab a crowbar or axe when you need it quick (have drop gun and cycle through broken inventory) there needs to be a quick equip funtion for melee weapons that wont interfere with primary weapon or pistol. Buildings/Walls/Doors/Stairs The physics of buildings in DayZ are just bugged and sometimes broken. Ghost Walls or Noclip Walls : Many buildings/walls/fences/rocks in game do nothing stop zombies from phasing through solid barrier and sometimes I have watched players exploit these same broken physics (for game that promotes realism this is serious problem) Broken Door Frames: constantly getting stuck in doorways even when moving directly in center away from edges Closing Doors - Locking Doors: Doors made out of wood should be destructable, serve as barriers for protection or to buy some time for an escape from zombies, If you can knock over trees, signs, gates, small walls with vehicles why not be able destroy door with axe or machine gun? Stairways: moving on stairs causes complete crawl in movement speed and turning, also same problem as doors end up stuck on corners Vehicles (Excluding boats and aircraft) The handling of cars/jeeps/trucks in game are not responsive in control both on main paved roads and offroad terrain, amazingly you can move much faster with a bicycle uphill, across an open field than using a 4Wheel Drive Military Jeep which does not add up. It seems all Vehicles on wheels share same physics control on terrain, there needs to be seperate classes of control physics when choosing types of Urban vehicles and Offroad vehicles. The Spawn Points and Item Spawn Points Starting out in this game always get stuck spawning up and down Eastern border coast and this just results in mass Spawn-Killing, since new players always spawn out in same spots (or next to Cherno or Elektro) veteran players abuse this on every server basicly as camping spots for a turkey shoot, new player spawnpoints should spread out more across Chernarus map not just along Coast. The Item/Weapon Spawn points have exact same problem as stated above, veteran players permanently camp only weapon spawn points that are Military or Advanced Gear, so new player can never get hands on better items and are are always slaughtered unless server setup gives you a rifle to start with. There needs to be more random % of chance in locations of weapons/gear so new players can gain items and vet players will not be able to completely abuse spawn point drops. I wont list anything for zombies since devs already mentioned they are overhauling zombie scripts and animations. Okay these are the biggest problems with DayZ game from my expierence playing, clash of good and bad elements making this game unique but very rough around edges (especialy with character control) The core game physics in DayZ need serious overhaul before the final release because the current problems/bugs kinda ruin your overall expierence. Before we begin, I'd just like to mention that I had no idea what to search for to see if this idea was already suggested somewhere so apologies if it's a repeat. In other news, let's get right in to my idea: DAYZ: ANIMAL INSTINCTS Similarly to DayZ Origins, you have a choice of character upon spawning, but this time it is a little different: Human OR Beast. Currently with the limitations of the Arma 2 Engine and whatnot the only viable option for beast is Dog, so I'll use that as my example. Human features: -Typical DayZ survivor -Significantly less military weapons and vehicles available -New weapons such as Tranquilisers available -Traps available - Can render medical assistance to allied beasts - Can feed / give drink to allied beasts Animal features: -Animals roam the world in packs (using dog as example) -Player-controlled animals appear with a collar around their neck -Can hunt small / passive animals for food (boars, pigs, cows etc) -Can scout for allied humans -Can track prey for allied humans -Can recover killed game for allied humans -Can bark / howl to scare off other animals or to attract attention -Can lick wounds / sleep to slowly recover blood -Can enter back seat of vehicles (only ride - no driver seat / gun seats) Ideally this mod would be set in a different map to Chernarus. Map features: -Seasonal changes (affects which animals spawn) -Caves scattered throughout the map -Much larger than Chernarus -Addition of jungles -Climbable trees -Animal-friendly vehicles (only for smaller beasts) Now obviously dogs are not the only animals that can be found in the wild, so having other beasts such as tigers, bears, hawks, leopards and mammoths would add a great deal of detail into the game and could all bring their individual strengths. Eg Hawks can fly and scout.

WTF have had a change in the world of DayZ, Instead of the normal DayZ we decided we wanted more of a point to play and have given Epoch a try! At the moment we are staying at Vanilla Epoch on Chernarus but i'm sure we will be adding a few bits and bobs soon to spice it up. This server is fairly NEW so jump on, gather your building supplies and build your bases ANYWHERE you choose without there being a neighboring camp close by! New Server - Not many players active but admins are always around.We prefer Survival but PVP is not discouraged... Ahh, only the millionth server to advertise the same exact stuff, make yourself unique and dont have all that useless crap, i miss the days when there was only 15 vehicles.
