    I came here in this topic, representing a part of the console community (playstation and xbox) One of the main things we've been asking for is mod support on consoles, I'm an Xbox native, so I'm also here to ask and create a discussion of ideas about mods on consoles. Nowadays mods on consoles are limited to Spawn Loot modifications and map modifications such as trade zones what is missing on the consoles is mods equal to the pc as weapons, equipment and vehicles, I believe that this may be possible due to the fact that Arma Reforger present on the Xbox Console has an exclusive Mods page I believe that in Console Dayz it can be the same, a mods tab within the game or buying from the servers so that we have more diversity of objectives to fulfill, it's pretty cool for you to go to a safezone and go to a Machine and buy weapons or go to a Black Market with an NPC and buy items, you have more options for constructions and furniture that is lacking in dayz consoles with that I come to propose the addition of mods to consoles

    Console Update 1.19

    This. If unable to fix the crashing currently, they need to either make it so that the car stops immediately when the driver DCs (not sure if that's actually possible) or make vehicles repairable. Though we're still going to have to seriously hoard radiators to avoid losing the cars anyways. This still wouldn't help completely. My game crashed a couple days ago while driving on Series X. Logged back in to my character swimming in the lake above the car. I had to find the one tiny spot my character could stand on the roof of the car to grab my stuff from it (can't manage inventory while swimming), swim it all the way to shore, swim back out, find the tiny standing spot again, and repeat until empty. I eventually got tired of the annoying process and let everything despawn. Left my character there and decided to play CoD until I can actually drive a car without risking losing my character and everything in the car by simply driving slowly from point A to point B. Oof.

    Fix this shit game

    As long as this game has been out and not having very basic mechanics working properly. Crawling through unbroken windows into building and pushing a team mate through small areas, vehicles are absolute shit still just to name a few the list is long than anyone would ever want to post how tf has this game not entirely died out. I think the modded community alone is keep this game alive. And my one question I have is how have I been deving my own game for about a year and a half and coming from no coding experience or prior game dev did I make a better vehicle system than a game that's been around for many years could do. I've literally tested my game with 30 ppl on it and don't have the sort of desync issues that this game has. I think the coders don't know how to code and that this enfusion engine the game runs on is utter shit. Dear dayz devs let this trash game die and make something better and give this entire community an apology for relasing such a half assed thought out project that is such trash.

    some things i like too see on this game: - Safe zones and acess to a global inventory (like WARZ). - Skill tree or some thing to upgrade our char like stamina, weight he can carry, holder breath longer, etc... - A emote to pretend be dead (only hear sound and screen going black. - Some "missions" or more events like airdrops, train on the lines, etc... - More vehicles like bicycles, scooters, etc... - Other stuf to turn the game more interesting, cuz when u get full gear the game get some bored.

    How the petrol stations have an unlimited supply of fuel

    I agree with you but cars need to be much more stable and less fragile before devs start adding limited fuel sources. Otherwise the time required to assemble them + finding fuel that is now limited (question is how much limited) makes them not worth the time invested. Limiting fuel sources directly affects vehicles as a whole because they are now made less accessible. Day zero of the apocalypse or day zero of our story (the spawning point, which could in theory be a day after or years after the start of the apocalypse)?

  21. As the top title suggests we need an explanation as to how the petrol stations have an unlimited supply of fuel. The motorised vehicles make absolutely zero sense this is an apocalyptic landscape with no fuel trucks resupplying the stations how can it be that vehicles are even viable here? This latest 1.19 fix of vehicles will just make this a cheap Chinese knock-off of GTA you should have removed vehicles and spent all this time fixing the stairs in the police stations at least the outcome would have made sense.

    Console Update 1.19

    I feel vehicles are much worse than before. In the past I have had maybe 2 times in the span of a year where they would begin bouncing then fly off into space. Today, Oct. 25, 2022 within 30 minutes while driving the vehicle fell underground 2 different times, began bouncing randomly to the point I was doing flips around a small area, and randomly heard a crash noise 2 different times then after driving on got dragged back to where I heard the crash noise and thrown into a tree and later a guardrail. Yesterday Oct. 24,2022, within 3 hours fell underground 4 times, bouncing around and doing flips to the point I couldn’t drive again, and randomly hearing a crash noise then being drug back and thrown into an object next to where the noise happened. I don’t understand what was changed so much that these issues are now happening when before they rarely ever happened to me. Until it’s fixed I can say I will not be enjoying the new Humvee or any other vehicle for that matter.

    I don't really mind the vehicles, take look at the zombies. I don't know how did this AI and pathfinding ever pass quality control, it's shame for a full release game. I'm suprised people don't talk more about this. It's not even about the latest update. It has been like this for a while now.

    What's the plan, ScottyB? When are they gonna fix cars? I thought that was in the works. When are we going to be able to pick up chickens again? I saw your video for 1.19. Real artsy. Do you have any practical skills that relate to being a brand manager? Because the brand is a mess. We're way, way out of beta now and the game's ballistics are being reworked. The core part of the game. As Early Alpha subscribers, we were sold on the idea that DayZ would represent realistic ballistic values. We're years past official release. Why are we still changing the very core elements that the game must obviously be balanced around? We were warned about possible bad design issues but were led to believe that such issues would be ironed out. When are vehicles going to be in an acceptable state? Can we get some information? Is this the final iteration of car physics? I'm sorry if you answered these questions on some other youtube video or podcast, but I don't watch that nonsense. I assumed going to the Official dayz website for information about dayz was the right approach.
