  1. From what I know, you've basically restarted your instance of DayZ running on the server. Basically like "restarting" the mission. I did this on my server recently and all of the tents / vehicles disappeared. However, I restarted the server via the TCAdmin portal we use with our server host, and everything came back. Here's further information Maybe try doing that!
  2. Okay, so I got a server today. All the vehicles had gone except for one, which my brother took. He came on voice comms asking for admin, tried to login simultaneously, and it didn't work. Assuming that we could only have one on at a time, I clicked his name, and clicked 'Reassign' in server control. The server shut down momentarily, and his vehicle was gone. Please, oh wise ones... what have I done?
  3. Sorry, I need to prove anything to you? Believe it or don't, doesn't matter to me. I'm not going to sit here and teach admins how to understand how to relate the coordinates in the log to the ingame format. As for the items, that's plain as day in the logs. There are enough douchey admins as it is. How is the server i'm on relevent? What do you have to worry about, admins cant track you or your vehicles remember?
  4. Good idea, I really think that almost in the way you repair i car, collect scrap metal and put armor on the car/suv and if you have an LMG, (m240, Mk48.) Put that on the car for Fire power would be Awesome. Alas wont happen anytime soon if it does happen. But good idea, to an extent you just have to be careful how many vehicles on the map, due to it being survival and not everyone can be parading around in a car, obviously.

    To all spawn killers out there!

    I had a person spawn in while i was at stary sobor raiding the tents as i was picking up gear he popped up in front of me. I shit myself and started to unload in to him after 2 full mags of my ak he dropped dead and i found on his body. Anti material sniper, 1x MP5A5 1x PDW 12x Mags for the MP5A5 and PDW (they use the same ammo) Lots of food and supplys. A coyote backpack with 24 slots gps, range finder, NVG, I would of never killed him if i saw him walk in say hi and then start to grap loot but when he spawned in and i jumped a friggin mile i had no choice but to unload all over his face and think after *i bet that guy is p***ed off with me all that gear and its gone as he logged in... No i dont find this cheating as he shouldn't of logged out at a high player destined place he should of logged out just outside the area in the tree line that way he could of seen me popping in and out of tents and either asked over direct comms hey do you mind if i grab some supply's i would of kindly said sure come down here grab what you need and we will be on our way! Or if he decided to he could of just used his sniper and popped me of and had his way with my corpse, I have been on a vehicle hunt for the last few days now and i have found nothing and after my first kill the adrenaline was pumping, hands shaking, i have no found a new lust for blood. Now i dont kill to raid bodys unless they have the best weapon in the game but i do now kill take there map and replace it with mine just incase they have vehicles marked up on the map or if they have a hidden stash of goodys. so if i ever kill you make your way to your body and you can get your stuff back minus the best weapon in the game and your marked up map! i might take your beans and a soda as killing is hard work :)

    DayZ Fan Art Thread

    I actually made a render of a 3d model of the car. It's a so-called HDRI-Render, which uses the image of the environment (called "old industrial hall") for lighting and reflection on the model. I also placed some spotlights in the scene and applied a fisheye lense to the 3d camera. So that gave me some basic light and shadow and reflection information. I then made a render and took the picture to photoshop, where I added the other parts from bits and piecesI found on the net (e.g. - just googled AK 74 for the weapon, and some photo reference for the guy). Then I painted in shadows and made his skin look broken, and I painted in parts of the hoody and the beard. I also added design and logo to the car, which was plain green in the render. Then I only had to mask out the windows and floor and add some texture. Finally, I added the "Dayz" logo as was decribed above. the entire process of creating this image took roughly 3 hours. It may seem a lot, but considering it is quite detailed and still has a painted quality to it, it's an okay time. The cool thing is, I can now create tons of new art, using the same setup, exchanging backgrounds and car models. I just don't model that many cars, so if any of you have more 3D models, I'd be happy to use them, too. I plan to use the Mustang for a more detailed and in-motion image, but I have to wreck it a little more first, which means remodeling. I also have a Citroen HY I modeled, which I might use in one of the next paintings. However, none of those are really Dayz vehicles. I do like modeling and rendering, but I love painting and painting over for quick results, design ideas and generally just creating key image content. Color theory is a good and interesting topic to start. I remember I watched some Gnomon DVDs initially that drew me to the matter.     not butthurt you just think your a boss because you hop on an empty server and scoop up all the vehicles ,WOW YOUR AMAZING MAKE MORE VIDEOS/PICTURES , if your a real player you would post what server you play on and what time your on ect ooooooooh wait you did and someone fucked your shit up :( . anyone can jump on an empty server and pull this shit off. way to be a tool
  8. They are vehicles, at some point you stop driving them. Real-time is irreleventAlso to the OP. There is an issue with server restarts not putting the vehicles ingame. I find they usually come back next restart.
  9. Are you fucking kidding me? I mean there are a few bad admins but don't say the all are, and they don't have any powers unless they have bought a hack themselves. Those admins your hating on are the only reason you can play dayz you cheap prick. And strife none of that info is real time so it won't help you track down 4 vehicles AT all. I actually think the OP is encountering the age old no vehicle/tent glitch with the server. Try checking after another restart and they might be all back?
  10. Ok what we have here folks is a list, compliled of many suggestions that have been made on the forum along with personal views of myself and clan members. I'll try not to make a wall of text here, but bring to light some of the topics we can discuss, and possibly provide constructive feedback and add any suggestions to what you would like to see DayZ become once it is a standalone product. Bear in mind, the views of I and my group are in the favor of realism, and we believe the game should stick to the "Zombie Apocolypse Simulator". But of course, any other feedback and suggestions are welcome. Lets begin... 1. Car keys, wheel boots, and hotwiring kits Do you like finding vehicles? How often does it usually take to repair it? Is it not a blast to ride around with your friends doing hoodrat things? Where do you hide your vehicles? Off the map? In the woods? Is it there when you log back in? These are a few of the questions that come to mind when I think about the current situation with vehicles in DayZ. With that being said, here are some suggestions that could make this area of the game better..Not enough vehicles/spawns as it stands, for one option we could ask that the amount of vehicles be doubled, or have methods of maintaining the vehicles we do find. See below... It has been brought up many times about keys for the vehicles because lets face it, if we are shooting for realism here, Im not leaving the keys inside my hatchback stocked full of AKs and Beans when I go to sleep for the night. The way to counter this however would be hot wire kits (rare spawn) Wheel boots or steering wheel locks would also be an idea to prevent others from driving off with your car and all the stuff inside, of course this could also be countered using the toolbox, OR have the ability to take parts OFF of a vehicle. To be honest if me and my buddies spent time putting the car together, you should have too as well. Vehicles should explode and immediately respawn when driven outside of map boundaries, point blank period. I know many of the trolls here will say "Well if I cant drive off with your vehicle, I will just blow it up!" Well sir, I say unto you....Good, because I would rather all my stuff explode in a pillar of flame than to have you and your group of ragtag idiots stumble upon my hatchback (full of AKs and beans) and take the magical skeleton key not listed in your inventory to drive off with others hard earned stuff. It may be the nature of DayZ not to get used to your gear, however lets shoot for the idea of realism. 2. Minimize loot to maximize loot points As it stands, it kinda sucks that not all houses are lootable. We all know what buildings to look for and whats likely inside those buildings. Maybe in the future of the game we could possibly see some of the suggestions below...All buildings can be entered, the loot however will not always promise a sweet new gun or that canned goods your so desperately searching for. Containers! Would definately like to see lootable objects (Cabinets, dressers, lockers, etc) Not too many points to add to this one folks, I'm sure everyone wants to be able to enter any building not just for looting purposes, but also to provide more cover from Zeds and PvP. This suggestion would definately make things more interesting. 3. Zombies are not a threat Run into a building to slow them down, spray bullets, ????, profit... amirite? Right now in the games current state, your biggest threat is other players. As a note here, I am fully AGAINST nerfing or punishing bandits in any way, your choices should be free to do as you wish. Instead of everyone beating the same dead horse about punishing bandits and the like, think outside of the box for a moment. Look very closely over these next suggestions, the end results may just get all you whiners your real bandit nerf, with some side effects of course...In most zombie lore, it is required to sever the brain stem in order to fully kill a zombie. In some cases, a well placed body shot can down a zombie for a brief period of time, or a shot to the lower limbs can dismember a zombie leaving them crawling. Right now there are some mechanics to this in the game, headshots are overkill even with a Makarov, and sometimes zombies are left crawling after a couple body shots. Cool, would like to see this built onto more, but without the body kills. No amount of body shots can truly kill the zed, only a headshot. Those in opposition of the first point made, perhaps you would just prefer the pathing to be fixed in the future to make zombies able to run indoors and uphills. I understand some people feel the zeds would be too hard with headshots given theire speed and movement patterns, but with the pathing fixed we would be less likely to see the zigzagging and glitchy zombies making it a little easier to down a zombie with 2 shots to the chest, and finish them off with one to the head. Of course we could bring up the point of a stamina meter that is effected by the weight of what your character is carrying at the time, any thoughts? Making zombies harder will prevent reckless banditry, who wants to take the chance of shooting a flashlight wielding shore humper when it has the potential to attract a boatload of "hard as shit to kill" zombies? I wouldnt even waste my ammo on them... It has been mentioned before about hordes of zombies in the fields and woods, just wanted to point out that I love that idea! Difficult zombies will promote teamwork! I like this suggestion here as well http://dayzmod.com/f...reased-numbers/ 4. Seasons Change Who wouldnt like to see some seasons and weather effects? Here are a couple suggestions to take into consideration!Weather effects to match up with time and date! If its January 5th 2013 lets see that tempature gauge go down, lets implement some clothing for our survivors to battle the elements! Heatpacks might become more useful, as well as campfires! If its mid July like it is now, we should be required to maintain our thirst a little more due to the heat. 5. Too easy to come by Everyt bit of loot is far to easy to come by. After a death, I can quickly scrounge up food to survive and weapons to combat zombies, as well as matches, backpack, and tools to survive in the wild in a matter of 10 minutes. In this section I will cover some of the issue with loot and possible measures to combat it.Making food and soda more scarce, but decrease the need to eat and drink. We as humans consume 2 to 3 meals per day and usually have between 5 to 8 beverages a day, given the climate and conditions we are under the need may exceed those statistics. Has anyone ran a 24 hour DayZ Marathon to test exactly how much a character eats and drink within that time frame? Maybe have a system where hunger and thirst persist through logout, not to log on and find your character dying of course, but to have to immediately find food and drink before that process can begin. Of course this suggestion is all just speculation, just seems like while playing, your character needs too eat and drink entirely too much, which would result an abundance of loot spawns to satisfy our tummies. Canteens should yield more than one drink as well. Making ammo more scarce could have a positive impact for all the bandit whiners out there, or could go in a negative way and cause more banditry, here is why. With little ammo loot spawns, one would not dare waste his ammo to kill another survivor and attract zombies ( See #3) given he only has one extra mag in his AKM, on the other side of the coin however, if you are low on ammo you could always hack another person to pieces with an axe or waste some Makarov mags to see if he's carrying any AKM mags in his backpack. This one is a bit touchy but all in all, my opinion sways towards making ammo and guns more scarce. More melee weapons plz!!! I should be able to use that hunting knife to do some stabbings! Which brings up an interesting point in the toolbelt, why switch out the pistol to use an axe? Can't I just holster the pistol, keep the AK on my backpack and use the hatchet to axe a zombie some questions? 6. Boarded Windows and Fortifications Lets face it, who doesnt want to make a fortification or hole up in a building and fight off other players and zombies. While the idea of tents are amazing, so we can store our loot, it is not a failproof way of stopping thieves or server bugs from eating all your valuables. Here are a couple points in regards to this that come to mind.Modifying spawn points for zombies so they do not spawn within 100 meters or on top of players that may use a building as a fortification. Implement hammer and nails (one time use for nails) along with wood or you gather using hatchet or scrap metal to board up windows and doors. Windows fortified so you cant get shot through them once boarded up, and doors so that the building cannot be accessed from outside unless the door takes damage from a firearm or hatchet swings. (SWAT Battering Ram maybe?) Setup your tents inside fortifications for added protection or place items in containers within the building (see #2) Park vehicles inside large enough fortifications. Garage doors can be fortified using scrap metal! Toolbox needed to take down metal fortifications, Axes and firearms to destroy wooden fortifications! 7. Shooting a shotgun while riding shotgun I'm gonna start spouting off a few minor suggestions here, because I want to leave this thread open for all to post suggestions, but c'mon man! Shooting while riding shotgun would be the ultimate high of this game, do some driveby zambie shoostings?! Of course you know all the suggestions named above along with this one would required some extensive work, but we can dream cant we? Shooting while riding shotty could provide a broad range of tactics and banditry. Circle towns honking the horn and blasting an 870 out of the passenger side while your buddies run in and load up on supplies...something so simple yet would bring so much to the table.8. Jerry Can + Empty Whisky Bottle = Molotov DUH! Can we get this please? It would be interesting to see some of that loot actually become useful other than distracting zombies that are just way too easy to kill anyway.9. Clunky inventory Hopefully in the standalone this will not be an issue. Items disappearing, the need to drop things to rearrange other things, etc. I think the inventory system as a whole needs a rework before anything goes live. If you have any reason to disagree with this one, I'd love to hear it.10. Servers as a whole Not 100% sure what the plan with the servers are but as it stand now, its one huge mess. Hackers, shitty admins, times not matching the server location, clans locking down servers and hiding all the good stuff, etc. It would be nice to see dedicated company run servers, and with the expansion of the map (fingers crossed) perhaps a higher player cap. Not sure what rocket plans to do with that, again this is just a suggestion, hold back the flames, you little trolls.11. Towing capabilities by thefishstick Some of the community would like the capabilities to tow vehicles as well, given that a hatchback isnt going to tow a Ural Civilian or anything like that, but I'm pretty sure the Ural Civ can tow the hatchback! This idea would also come in handy when you flip your ATV on the railroad tracks, hook up your vehicle to that bad boy using tow chains or a winch and give it some gas! Using one vehicle to tow a broken down vehicle would be a great way for teams to make sure there are enough seats available for travel, and lets admit, travel at this point is all about holding down that "W" key. (See #1) At the very least give us the ability to just flip ATV's over with our hands, I mean it is possible in real life.12. Fishing! by mark x I totally support this idea as well, it will give the bodies of water usefulness and lets not forget the boats! This is for all the folks out there that think you should have more animal spawns, why not just add some fish in the water! Fishing should require a fishing pole, bait, hunting knife, and matches and wood to cook it! Fishing also leaves you out in the open as well, so it could prove to be dangerous if there are bandits around. Not a bad method of finding food if you ask me.13. Character creation and clothing It would be kind of neat to be able to customize your character aside from the Male/Female option. Doesn't have too be too in depth but the ability to choose hair style, body type, or slap on a handlebar mustache for the kiddies. Also putting on basic clothing as well as finding additional clothing in game. I know the trolls might love to jump on this point here and start bashing but hey, what the hell could the system hurt? Maybe I want my guy to look like a bad ass bandit, maybe my clan wants to have our own bandanas and gang colors foo! When it rolls around to winter time (see #4) we may need some winter jackets and extra thick socks!14. Respawn button I know with the recent changes, the respawn button is disabled. I agree with this change for the sake of NOT being able to choose a spawn point, I just feel as if it creates a few more negatives that positive. Lets say for instance, my friends are in Berezino and I spawn in Kamenka...I'll run happily towards the zombies and sacrifice myself in order to see if I can catch a spawn at Three Valleys or Krutoy Cap. What if I spawn in debug forest? I just dont particularly see the resolution in this "disabling of the respawn button" other than more headaches. So below are a couple key points I would like to see happenVastly increase spawn points, to where at any given respawn you could spawn near any small town or landmark, not just the beach I know trolls, I know what you would say..."Well then that would just cause people to spam the respawn button over and over until they get exactly where they want to be!" I dont think you understand exactly how many places you could spawn on the map, but see below for another fix! After "Respawn" button is used once, cannot be used again for 10 minutes, ta-daaaa! I know...I's smart huh? If you end up in debug forest after that, then its your own fault...quit trying to find perfect spawn points you fackin scrub! If you would like to add or find a valid reason for removing any of the above suggestions then feel free to message me or reply to this thread in order to get your idea on the original post. Lets keep this going for the sake of seeing some of our ideas implemented into the future of the game!

Admins can see player locations, locations of vehicles, items in your inventory You're either not an admin so have no real business saying what they can and cant do, or you're an incompetent admin. Either way you're wrong. Same goes to you.

    I can explain this to you as I've explained it to you IN-GAME multiple times. We, (The people you accused) do not, hack. The server, is running a private HIVE, which means it is not connected to the main HIVE. Therefore, the server Administrator can add and remove which vehicles spawn, such as helicopters, which have already been put into the game anyways, he just has added more than just the 1 or two that normally spawn. As for our vehicles, the server Admin has extended the number of vehicles that spawn, and as such more of the Day Z vehicles spawn in their locations around the map. We just went around and collected them. None of our weapons are hacked, because we have the helicopter, it is insanely easy to move from one end of the map to the other, and as such we can easily spot helicopter crash sites and raid NWAF or Stary Sobor within 5 minutes. I'm not even gonna bother watching these videos, but we had killed you and I looted your body to find a M4A3 CCO with, G36C SD mags on your body. You literally started raging over this whole thing for nothing. We actually HATE hackers, and have help the server administrator come up with ideas to stop them. Things such as "Thunderdome" and other hacks piss us off and make us lose gear. I really have no idea why you think like this but I hope this clears things up.
  13. I don't flame new players. I do wish they'd read the post below the post they're making that is 95% identical to theirs though. I will still help and give them advice to the best of my ability w/o hand holding too much. Where as people using scripts that completely remove all trees and buildings, or spawn vehicles, all weapons etc, port people around, turn them into animals.. not exactly the same. Sorry.
  14. Hello, Here is my proposal on a really useful admin system but in no way that an admin can use it to find vehicles or players. Vehicle Information System: The menu system should popup like a window and have a list of options for the admin to use like buttons to press and drop down menus for vehicles to select. -Shows the list of gear items in it the layout should be like (QUANTITY)(ITEM) -Shows the list of previous drivers/owners and current driver. All the Day Z vehicles should have a unique name like if you pull up information on a ATV it should sort by name like ATV(ATV1) the ATV1 part is the unique name. You also should be able to find your unique vehicle's name when you enter it as a driver it should show up in debug monitor for a few minutes in Unique Vehicle Name: ATV1. The reason for this idea is that when a hacker or somebody has teleported your vehicle to them and admins have a better chance to track down who hacked it. If possible it should log when a vehicle has traveled vast distances in a short amount of time like example traveled 150m(Without showing the coordinates) in 5 seconds from its current location. Than again it shouldn't log it when the vehicle was destroyed so it doesn't flag it. It should notified the admin as well like Warning! ATV1 has traveled 1000m in 1 second and closest player is: PLAYER -Admins should be able to see all the vehicles in the server even the ones that are spawned and the admins should have the power to delete those spawned vehicles the only way the admin should be able to find the non spawn vehicle if it does not have a unique name. I'm sure hackers may try to find a way to unique name the vehicle. Player Information System: -This menu should give the admin information about a player and when they do it should show up all the items, weapons and previous unique vehicle names they was driving last. Good Layout Example: List of Last Drove vehicles within the hour: (ATV1, LADA1, URAL1) - The list should list all the vehicles that they drove within the past hour or two. (QUANTITY) (WEAPON) (QUANTITY) (AMMO) (QUANTITY) (ITEM) -This menu should also list items that they picked up within the past hour or two as well but only log it down when they pick it up out middle of no where and no where by a tent and give coordinates to admin so the admin can see where that location is and he/she can make a decision if that location where they got the weapon from is a legit area for a weapon to spawn at. This should list all the weapons, ammo, and items that they picked up in this area. If its possible I know the code doesn't give alot of options to log stuff. -Admin should give themself God-Mode but with god-mode enabled they shouldn't have no weapon on them or any sort of weapon for them to be able to use it against another player only reason for god-mode in case if they run into a hacker and they wish to follow the hacker until they see enough evidence to ban them. Also the admin should have an option to go invisible as well but same stuff no weapons or any sort of weapons equipped on them. I will tell you later on in this post where to put those weapons. The admin shouldn't be able to pick up any items or use it to get around zombies as zombies should still be able to see them. -Admins should see a notification on top somewhere or on bottom somewhere when a player loads a foreign script and the few bits of coding part of that script and the game scripts should be defined and the ingame scripts should be defined already so it wouldn't show every single script on the bottom of the screen but should show scripts that aren't in day z or built in game itself. -This should also warn an admin if a player has traveled over 300m within 1 or 3 seconds depends what you want to set interval to. This should also tell you also when a player is on a vehicle and teleports the vehicle with them over 300m with 1 or 2 seconds it should warn the admin to. Not sure if this is possible to do with the current game. When a teleported player travels over 1000M in 1 or 2 seconds but make sure that it doesn't do it when they die and they start over in a new area. But it should show that player's marker on the map to everybody in the server so atleast if that hacker teleports to somebody the player will have a chance to click Abort and back to Lobby before the hacker kills them. Also the player should be able to see their own marker on the map but does not show to other players in the server. Data Storing System -When a player pitches a tent they should given an option to name it and it should also check with the database and ensure nobody else has that name in that current server they are in. This is where the admin would be given an option to put their weapons at when they go into god-mode or go invisible. It should automatically put their gear items in the first tent they have pitched. Without a tent the admin wouldn't be able to keep their weapons if they do not have a tent but still can go into god-mode but a popup should appear warning the admin that they will lose their weapons if a tent was not found. -There should be a file that an admin can edit outside of the Day Z or edit in the dayz_server.pbo to list their in game admins but this system should also be working with BEC to ensure no outsiders can use the admin's name to login admin and use all the admin menus. -When a player joins in and their vehicle was taken it should warn the player that their vehicle was Stolen like etc "Your ATV1 has been stolen!" but do not log it down when a friend in their group takes it. Player Group System -A player should be able to invite friends to a group in game and this group of friends should get stored in the database by their GUID or unique player number. When their friend logs in it'll automatically put them in the group again. -A player that is in the group a player should have a menu option to open up Group Menu and from the group menu they should be able to send a private message to that player or tell either one, or selected, or all of the group members to meet a a certain location on the map and the player that gets the command have and option to say Yes or No for the Left Shift + Left Click marker to be placed on their map to go to. -Also in this menu the friend can add in notes for the group to know like where they last parked their ATV or vehicle at or where they move the camp to and etc. I mean this is about all I have for now for a system that will really help an admin track down hackers or find anything suspicious in a server. Because right now an admin is just like another player in the game.. just powerless. The logs doesn't show anything useful and plus it logs way to much in the scripts.log :P should exclude any day z scripts and in game built scripts. I know I'l be coming up with more stuff to add to this later on. It know its alot of work but it'l be totally worth it and should bring in more players I hope anyways to make up for the crap animations in game and game bugs not day z bugs but arma 2 born bugs.

    Also the more laggy the server is the worse it will be. Plus if hive is lagging which you can't always tell from in game. If I find something I really want to keep, I stay on for another good ten minutes to be sure of saving. Also whenever I save a vehicle I save it, wait a few minutes, save it, wait a bit more, and save it again to be sure. We have had dozens of vehicles vanish for no reason at all and a few to bad saving by people as well.

    Pretty sure that's not going to be the case. I seriously doubt DayZ stand-alone is going to have private servers. The rules exist because 90% of server admins are not like you. They would use the power to password their server in order to limit a server to their clan, farm gear and vehicles all day, and then use their server as a private safehouse storage and travel area in order to terrorize other servers. The power to kick/ban would be used to likewise limit access, or punish people who threaten their possessions or friends. It's nice that you're mature and planned to run a cool community, but you're the exception, not the rule I'm afraid. The rules are there for a reason. If you're not willing to follow them, that's cool. Just don't set up a server. There's really nothing else to say about it.

    If you've been scouting for vehicles and only found One of them. That means the rest are being held by players at a Camp Site. Locating the Campsite and raiding is your key to several Weapons, Gear and Vehicles. Be wary, Once a Bandit.. Always a Bandit.

The reason I'm reporting this server is because they've been locking and passwording the server several times for extended periods of time. I wouldn't of been suspicious about this but me and my friend found a UAZ and a Tractor, which we spent about 2/3 hours repairing. I then went off for about 4-5 hours along with my friend after we hid the vehicles (At the time the server only had about 6-17 players). When I came back in the early hours of the morning I found the server was locked and had a password, but there was 3/4 people still ingame. I wasn't really timing but a few hours must of passed and then we found that our vehicles were taken even though we saved them, so I believe that the admins are is locking it and combing the north for peoples camps and vehicles. This evening I tried to get on again but it was locked, so I began taking pictures for proof in order to report them. Also, half way through it the server re-opened and people began joining but straight away we got kicked by an admin called "Housbak". Had to use TinyPic as the screenshots are too big to upload >_> Also, I don't really know how to take a screenshot ingame. --Edit-- I took pictures every 5 minutes but to prevent causing a massive tl;drThread I've only picked 3.

    Hey guys, got a bunch of ideas that I would like to share, so hear me out. Backpacks: More backpacks. :lol: Clothing: I would love to have more clothing and clothing slots. Let's say the sun is really bright and you can't see well, wear a hat or some sunglasses and your good to go. Also if it's starts raining a jacket, stuff like that. Also totally agree on what Rocket said, once you spawn you could be a doctor or something like that, so you have different skins and skills. Skills: It would be nice if skills were a thing. Let's say you want to give a blood transfusion to a friend, and you have never done it, he gains only 2000 blood. With each blood transfusion you can give more blood and you gain skill. Also It would be very cool if you could cut wood, and make a bow, or a spear, also you would need skill. It would also be nice to have "skill books" for that, so you need to learn before you can do it, and then if you have friends you can learn them, stuff like that. Making items: Already mentioned bows and spears, I think it would be awesome if you could make traps and other things like that. Maybe even metal things if you had the skill and a furnace or something like that, but that's maybe already too much. Blood: I think it would be awesome that if you found a syringe you could give your friend your blood. Becouse I think you would be forced to do that in real life if your friend lost a lot of blood. Also think that, that if you have -3000 blood you can live only a short period of time if you don't gain blood somehow. Zombies: I think zombie attacks are bad. I was just walking about and then I saw a zombie, I went to kill him with my axe but he just knocked me over, I was bleeding and losing blood fast. It's really bad. I think at least if you have a hatchet that you have lower chances of getting hit, or getting wounded if nothing else, I think one zombie couldn't do crap against a good ol' axe, but okay. Weapons: All sharp objects like the knife should be usable weapons, maybe a little melee slot next to the primary and the secondary weapon? Also I think it would be cool if you could throw them, maybe I'm asking too much, idk. Vehicles: I think vehicles, at least cars and bigger ones should have way more space, I mean, I had a van and I couldn't fit more then two backpacks in it. What's with that? Also I think it would be awesome that when your in a forest you can use a "camo option" so you can throw leaves and stuff like that on your car to make it less visable, I already found 3 "hidden" cars, they are just so bloody obvious. Trains: I saw somewhere on the forums that someone suggested trains, I think that's okay, but maybe it would be better if he (Rocket) just added wrecks that you can loot like heli crashes, they would have food and maybe pistols, like a residential heli crash site. Medic supplies: I think medic supplies could also be found on randomly spawned medic trucks, stuff like that, wrecks as well as the heli crash site. Tents: I want more tent types, like shown in the offical DayZ video (the squarish ones) and also bigger tents like at military camps. Woodcutting: Since you can't place tents in some places, especially if there were bigger tents like the stary sabor ones I think It would be awesome if you could cut trees, which would produce noise, so you can make space for you camp. There is much more going on in my mind but I can't remember, so this is all for today, what do you think chaps? ^_^

    As a Day Z player it's hard justifying the expansion packs just for the textures... I mean I'm pretty sure they add new missions, guns and vehicles in arma II.. but I don't play Arma II.. Ah well, we'll see. :]
  23. I thought a traditional sandbox game was more like Valves Garys Mod, where you can make you own things and your own mechanics... But I may be totally wrong there. EDIT: Correction. Just googled it and a sandbox game is: An OPEN WORLD is a type of video level design where a player can roam freely through a virtual world and is given considerable freedom in choosing how or when to approach objectives. OR Sometimes, open world gaming is included as a game mode in a game that is not mainly open world (a prominent example being the Forge mode in Halo 3 and Halo Reach). These modes usually grant you access to a set of existing components such as walls and doors, as well as gameplay objects like vehicles and weapons. - So guess I was kinda right....

    Hackers in US 1220

    So on US 1220 there were 5 or 6 hackers on, flying around in A-10 Warthogs, and also spawned at LEAST a GAZ (a tractor and 2 motorcycles were near Balota Airfield as well). Personally, I found a Huey on the ground west of Elektro. I did not get in ANY vehicles, and a bunch of TF guys were in the server as well( and disappeared when the flying was over). Currently, 2 A-10 crash sites are north of Elektro, as it appears all of them were instabanned in midair. The admin will be notified shortly (he actually advertises his DayZ name on the forums for such events).
  25. i also would like to know how this can be done. i've had issues where the vehicles i have saved spawn somewhere else on the map. i'm hoping a vehicle reset would resolve this issue!
