Have you ran the game ArmA and OA separately first to download and install BE? if you have then update your beta patch use DayZ Commander. if you get the same message navigate to your ArmAOA folder and delete BE and run the two games again to redownload it.

Hi so i had a quick search and i found a few people looking for help about AMD/Nvidia display drivers crashing and recovering while playing DayZ, While this isn't the game's fault i thought i would post it here in the hopes i can help others get a "Work around" to this problem. I was having AMD display drivers crash on me every 30 minutes or so while playing DayZ normally during city's or when my GPU was rendering ALOT. I had a quick search around on the internet and everyone say's to uninstall and re-install your graphic drivers, I have tried that with no success i have also done a full fresh system install made sure all my drivers are up to date and i still had this problem and after a good search around i have found a great work around to help prevent this from happening (1 week crash free so far) What cause's the crash=Windows waits for your GPU to render frames if this takes longer then 2 seconds windows restarts your display drivers causing your game to be black screened or you get a BSOD simply changing the TDR from 2 seconds to 60 seconds prevents this I warn you if you are not confident with trying this DO NOT ATTEMPT this work around. Instruction's; Press start, Search for "REG EDIT", Then navigate to, [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ GraphicsDrivers] Create a a REG_DWORD file called TdrDelay and set the value to 60 (Case sensitive) ex. "TdrDelay" =dword:00000060 Then navigate to, [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ GraphicsDrivers\DCI] And create a Value called "Timeout"=dword:00000060 (Sometimes you will see a reg already called "timeout" set between 2-7 you can just change that value. Having created both of these words in the specified paths, you will need to reboot the machine. The time out issue should now be fixed Like i have said above only do this if you are confident you wont mess up any other Reg files. Yeah thats the same East side spawn im ok running at 20 fps drops down to 15 over time but the further up north seems to be smoother for me. Exactly the same for me vanilla or pretty much any other mod im fine with but Epoch... I guess Epoch could grow in success if they spoke to DayZero (I think its called) and tried to tidy up the DB to help FPS for everyone. I just love the "Rust" style building. I guess i will try to power on through and maybe find a way on the BI forums to see if i can force Arma to draw more CPU power instead of the 28% its currently using. I need to get a new mobo to see if thats causing a bottleneck but apart from that i cant see anything slowing down my system right now.

It seems to be all of them its just Epoch the mod itself is terrible for me. Dont get me wrong i love playing it because i love being able to build my own creations but the frame rate is killing it for me. I have tried about 7 different servers and they all seem to be around the same 20fps. The thing that gets me tho is why dosnt the mod push for more performance from my system is it starts to struggle. Im sure i have done something wrong since other people in the servers seem to run better FPS then i do. Edit: Messed up the qoute sorry

Hi, So i have been trying to play Epoch recently and i'm struggling to gain anything more then 20fps, It seems upon a server restart i run at 20fps but during the time playing it drops down to 10fps regardless of settings. I have been watching my CPU and GPU usage and both of them rarely hit above 40% usage. I have done every hint and trick online, eg: arma.cfg, start up para's, over clocked, unparked cpu, etc.... On any other mod i run flawlessly at 60fps but for some reason Epoch (Tried at least 7 different servers) and i can never get above 20. Unsure if its just the mod or if something is broke on my system. Its really starting to bug me that i cant max out my CPU or my GPU performance anywhere tho. Is there anyway to force the game to run at 100% on either my GPU or CPU Any help from Epoch players would be greatly appreciated system specs below, AMD Phenom II x4 965 BE @ 3.4 - 4.4Ghz (Set up with CCC to run slower when not performing heavy tasks i turn this off when gaming so its running at 4.4Ghz) Asus HD7770 2Gb Gddr5 GPU Clock 1250MHz, Mem Clock 5000MHz Corsair Vengance Ram 16Gb OC @ 1600MHz Mobo MSI 870A G54 (Rubbish mobo but it cost me £0.99 with postage) PSU Corsair 1200i (Ready for Crossfire 2x AMD 290x)

Everytime i try to change my password it gives me the error security key not valid. I have checked and double checked the details i type in and everything should be 100% but i get the same error.

I have the same CPU as you and yes that is normal if you play Trinity you will see that you run at 47 fps solid but on jam packed servers with over 9000 heli's starting loot zombies etc... your fps will drop like a brick. Go back to the vanilla servers or servers that haven't been cram packed with rubbish. Or run in windowed mode with "-noborder" as a startup parameter you should get a few extra fps. Even try unparking your core's (AMD CC can do this by changing cpu power all the way to the right) should help a little bit more

I can beat that! Fraps registers 450+ while loading in to a server :P

When DayZ was first released i was getting around 55-60 fps everywhere now with all the other mods and extra stuff on the servers i push 30 fps. But tbh playing trinity im getting around 45 Bear in mind im running DayZ on a 5400rpm HDD

So Steam updated DayZ 5 days ago would this be a standalone update? im watching this link like a hawk waiting for any type of update just woundering is this DayZ update is anything to do with the standalone or not.
