Yes, 1154 is tough to find vehicles. Lately, I have found bunch on the coastline.

These are the things I want to do, I have found tents in the past but never got around to making the most of it, having a few team tents would make it ideal to assist players in need. I have also found a few vehicles in game and borrowed them but when I left the game I knew I might not come back soon enough to make use of it, so being able to let other fogeys know what server and where we could make sure we have a vehicle at times to go on missions or just have a laugh I also want to setup 20 fireplaces and light them up and see what happens.. I did it with 4 and was impressive from a distance... I would love to have all of cherno light up with fireplaces so people come on the night server and go wtf and then have a blast running around trying not to be seen Im coming in over the weekend, son has been ill so couldnt get online friday....

I don't bother searching for vehicles because they'll be gone in a day or two. If I come across one, I have my fun with it, then give it to some random. -
Sometimes the teleporters put them in the ocean. You might never find it without a map tool, which of course isn't part of the server tools allowed for server admins. Fucking scripters. I have the same problem on our server. This happens to the chopper and some of the vehicles. I don't know where they are and have no way to find them to try to fix the issue. There grid coordinates are not even listed in the .rpt log, just the damage. I do know that if some help for server owners doesn't come soon I am shutting mine down. I see no good reason to provide free servers for script users, cheats and other assorted abusive players. It's dumb.

Regardless of how you feel, OP, every single one of those types of people are a part of the game. They are playing, in a sense, the way it was designed. Even the ones shooting new spawns on sight. Remember when Rocket said his goal was to make it so no part of this game ever feels safe? It's those people who are making that possible. People have certain expectations when they sit down and experience something. Sometimes, those expectations are to have a harmless time wandering around a wasteland, making friends and surviving together. That's great and all, but if you set unrealistic expectations, knowing fully well just what the mechanics are and what they allow, then you have nobody to blame but yourself for a frustrating or ruined experience. The bottom line is, if new spawns weren't intended to be targets, there would be something implemented to hold their hands and keep them safe. This isn't the truth. In this game, it's about principle, morality, and ultimately the psychology of how far a person will go. And it's working perfectly. Whether you like it or not, agree with it or not, every single aspect of this experience you mentioned is intended to function the way it is. People might think it's stupid to shoot on sight, but without those people we wouldn't have the strong emotional responses we do to this game, which is what it is all about. It's all a necessary evil, and for those who can't handle it, there are plenty of other games that will hold your hand and keep you safe. And there is nothing you could say, regardless, that would change the minds of how a person plays. Disclaimer: Yes, I'm a bandit. Sometimes I'll help somebody that shows me a moment of kindness, or that needs it, but ultimately I kill to survive, to get gear, and most importantly to not be bored. Running around fixing vehicles and shooting poorly coded zombies can only entertain me for so long. The human element, the thrill of the hunt, and the knowledge that this life, too, shall end is what keeps me on the edge of my seat. While you wouldn't find me in Elektro shooting bambies, you certainly won't see me trying to remove them from the game. Besides, they're usually a free kill and maybe even a free can of beans.

I just had a look at the ACE feature list to update myself. And there actually aren't much in there that applies completely on DayZ, 90% of ACE is connected to weapons, vehicles, explosions and "military realism". The only things I can think of that actually would have a good effect on DayZ is the stamina/encumbrance system and the blood trail when wounded thing. And as you said yourself, there are DayZ servers out there running ACE already, so it appears to be working. Not sure if they've done something to adjust things. Getting the stamina working would be great fun, but I believe that you have to add "weight" parameters to items for them to affect stamina, and since DayZ adds stuff on it's own, these items will not be included and can't be edited without editing DayZ. If we do want to add ACE, or at least the tastier features of ACE, we need to do some research first. Try and figure out what the ACE servers have done and how well it is working. Adding ACE may actually decrease the interest in the server because of the additional download requirement. Sad but true :( -

Vehicle respawning system is kinda confusing. I have read a lot of threads about crashed vehicles respawning after 7 days well not on my case: Teleporting satchel charge -griefer blew up some vehicles on our team server including mah precious V3S :D I was tempted just restart server so it would appear in full condition but I saved it instead... :( V3S was blown out last friday 7th of September and I can't see it spawning on server restart. And I can't see the red sedan on spawn list either which was another car the dude blow up different place. -
been suggested many times before (myself included). if you go vehicle/camp hunting, no net will save your vehicles regardless, so the "it will help hoarders more" is not really a reason. PS: I don't even have a tent, so yeah. all give beans to OP. I really want this in the game.

If you guys could put camo nets in the game, it would make it a lot more convenient for hiding the vehicles. They would probably have to be rare, but high percentage in military bases. If you guys see this, cheers, it would make the game a lot better. Cheers

Im advertising for those players that would like a different way to play. If everyone has night vision, then nights become less of a problem for those who dont. This way server can have night and day cycle. We change the starting load out once every 2 weeks. I think it is good for people to know how many vehicles are available. This way chopper fights can happen, or vehicle fights can happen. It allows for more intense gaming sessions. Not my intent to piss you off. But the game is a lot more fun when you start with 1 mag and a makarov. -

I also look for multiple assault or alice packs for the same person with sequential log entries. I started noticing ppl who I never saw on my server were coming in, having 1 survivor/sniper entry, 1 backpack_EP1 entry, and then 2 other pack entries usually a second apart at most. Caught one of them on the beach one day he still had 2 packs laying on the ground with gear in one of them. Really wish the log entry shows whats in a pack when it comes into existence. Would seriously help identify these fellows. Also keep an eye out for ppl who launch 40mm_HE rapidly (faster than you can normally). You see someone doing that be sure to report them to the community ban list. Its a hack where they basically will tele to players/vehicles and saturate them with HE rounds. -
Player Jack Goff has been admittedly spawning guns, including AS50 TWS somewhere near Kamyshovo. He and player name Madeline have been using these guns to find a repair vehicles. I know both of them, and have played with them before I knew about this. Jack keeps a Thermal AS50 in a camping tent somewhere in the forest near Pik Kazlova, Kamyshovo, and Tulga. I heard Jack (over ventrillo, 7:48 PM PST, first video corrupted) admit that he had spawned guns, L85s and AS50s, and kept them in his tent. Jack: "It would be great to get everyone on and have a massive squad to slaughter everyone." Me: "Once we find all our guns." Madeline: "Or just have Jack spawn all our guns." Me: "But that takes the fun out of the game." (not the reason I'm reporting, I'm fully geared for PvP, but this is still wrong) Madeline: "That's too hard" Jack: " **** that, who wants to look for guns." In addition, I believe this is also his own server, as for the most part they are the only 2 in the server, and is titled so be hosted by JGserver.com. When he is offline, it shows that the server too is offline, this means that it is difficult for evidence to be found. (go check) I've played, bled and died alongside both of them, I've picked them up from cherno and even geared them myself, I saddens me to have to send this in, but cheating is cheating, I don't take it lightly.

If you're bored at End Game, make a camp, help people, perform operations to take out bandit groups and find more vehicles. Learn to be creative.

Playing on NZ 03 (3pm local time), running through woods and heard explosion (helicopter crashing). Next second a guy in a gillie suit asked me over voice chat if I wanted anything. I declined, but he spawned a sniper rifle in front of me (I didn't take) and changed my outfit from civilian clothes to gillie suit. He asked if I would like any vehicles or to be transported anywhere on the map and I said "no" and I started to walk away. He spawned in a helicopter and took off (which he crashed). TLDR: Hacker changed my civilian clothes to gillie suit and I don't want to be banned for having hacked items. -

The current spawn loadout is as follows: (when you spawn, you start with these items) Regular Servers spawn loadout: 1 Hatchet 1 Compass 1 Military Flashlight 1 Painkiller 2 Bandages Expert Server spawn loadout: 1 Hatchet 1 Flashlight 1 Painkiller 2 Bandages Some things we are currently working on bringing in: Adding buildings to Chernarus (with balance). Confirmed right now: barracks in starry, fire station in Berezino, a couple medium residentials in Kamenka. We are adding to the map while still keeping it balanced to provide a more positive player experience. This addition is currently in progress on our test server. Done! new buildings are now added! Adding vehicle spawns - currently 73 vehicles spawn on all servers (plus 75 spawn bikes on both Chernarus servers). We are working on adding many more this weekend using our test server. Takistan just updated to 1.2. It now has support for 80 spawned vehicles at a time as well as adding NEW vehicles and they fixed more bugs. Good Stuff. -

I would also say secure the hive, a former regular on our server has now teleported all our vehicles to somewhere off map in what the logs appear to show interaction with the hive. I'm not demanding a fix, I just wonder if there's any chance any of this can be remedied or if it's even being looked at. I know it's an alpha, but in providing a place for the testing to occur it would be nice to know that something can be done other than roll with it and wait a week for everything to respawn, assuming the spawn location hasn't been messed around. -
I've searched this topic, and have not found any discussion. I have returned to 4 confirmed camps I have marked on a map from a week ago, all the tents in the camps are leveled and flat. I don't think this is a scenerio of someone destroying them as most as WAY out of the way of vehicles. Other players on Skype are having the same issue with their tents. Any ideas?

Sorry I should have put all this in original post. Currently vehicle count I'm assuming is what a usual hive would have, We have no real intention of changing from DayZ's normal structure unless we really have too. Nameplates: NO Night time: When the sun sets of course UTC +8 Waypoints: YES And NO Our clan has NOT horded all the vehicles whilst the server numbers have been low. And to help entice some people to come play, We actually have a UAZ we are willing to donate to someone/s with some gear in it. We haven't stocked it with the gear yet, But it will have things such as: Weapons: M4's AK's Shottys M9's G17's Items Jerry cansx2 Possible spare parts We also hope to get the basic gear to put in it as well: Alice Map Compass Waterbotlles Knife Hatchet Matches Food So if anyone is interested either hit me up on here or PM -

Time better spent working on the standalone IMO, the hacking can't really be "fixed" in the mod because the ArmA engine is designed to be open and because of this I don't think it's worth spending a lot of time fixing a lot of the smaller bugs in the mod when it's always going to be plagued by hacking, as long as they aren't game breaking like artifacting and tents/vehicles not saving I'd rather they spent their time on making sure these bugs aren't in the actual game.
