    Tips for better situational awareness?

Approach locations from an area that has higher ground than the destination - it will allow you to scope the general area for signs of movement. Before moving out into fields, stay hidden in the treeline and scope the general area of signs of movement. Keep off of the roads, but ensure you keep them in sight to ensure you're headed in the appropriate direction. Sprinting everywhere isn't always the best way to travel. Plan your movements - the map is your friend.

    Weapons comparison

Best I've seen so far is www.dayzdb.com Perhaps check out the DayZ Wiki otherwise.
  8. To be honest mate, you need to have something a bit more concrete than "he must have teleported and he killed me" edit: scratch that - just saw the video on the BugTracker log.

Ever Saw 25+ friendlies in one area? Now you have! :D

Any reason why it was filmed with the intention of making anyone viewing it nausious?

  11. You say that like you can tell who's good and evil IRL just by looking at what clothes they have. It shouldn't be as definitive as "someone's wearing a hat - they're a hero" - interaction needs to be stimulated; not profiling.

The Greatest Revenge Video Of All Time

Genuinely an amazing bit of action there. Just goes to show that having the drop on someone makes all the difference. Beans :beans: :beans: :beans:

    CPU or GPU?

Sorry, I forgot to mention this. What Terminal said! Don't listen to all the GPU haters. Whilst they are correct that your GPU is quite old, the CPU will take priority if you're focusing on DayZ/Bohemia Interactive titles. I'm running a Powercolor HD5700 or something ancient like that, and I can still play DayZ to a decent standard 'cos of my AMD FX6300. And you are completely welcome.

    CPU or GPU?

These games (DayZ/ArmA) are very CPU dependant. Your GPU is better than mine, and I can still run DayZ at decent frames. If you've £150-200 to spend, I'd recomment something like an Intel i5 4670k as initial reports indicate DayZ works better with Intel CPUs than AMD CPUs. Be aware though that a latest model of processor may require you to update your Motherboard also, as the socket to which the CPU is fitted may have changed.

    Thank you rocket.

Reem in Essex means to be cool, or stylish (I think) Reem on Urban Dictionary means to be roughly f*cked. Quite an interesting contrast. Regardless, nice to see some threads that aren't whiney about the faults. :beans:
