Hello moto 70 Posted October 13, 2012 When the standalone comes out, obviously people are going to stop playing the mod.I would like to know what people are going to do for their last death. Are you going to do something special, or just not even worry about it.Me, I'm going to run through all the towns that my time permits, aggro as many zombies as I can the run into a building and kill them until I can't. I think it would be fitting to be overrun by 100+ zombies. I would like people to write what they actually do here for the last death, because Chernarus will become a ghost country a couple of hours into the SA release and a record of how people died would, in my opinion be a good reminder of the mod.
terex 322 Posted October 13, 2012 It'll feel good stepping away from the mod and going to the standalone, at least I hope it does. A lot to look forward to from the sounds of it. If I do have any characters alive when it comes out they will probably rot. ;)
Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted October 13, 2012 (edited) Actually many will carry on with the mod. The Arma community is one of the best modding communities in the world so there is much to look forward to. Also Rocket has suggested that any good ideas from mods could be incorporated into the SA in the future. They are not mutually exclusive. I'll be playing the standalone and playing the variations people come up with in the mod. Edited October 13, 2012 by Fraggle
Inception. 9443 Posted October 13, 2012 I'm probably going to play SA for the most part when it comes out, then goof around on the mod when I get bored.

barrett_killz 229 Posted October 13, 2012 (edited) Well, if the SA will be really expensive, I'm not going to buy it. Will continue playing the mod.EDIT: It would be really nice if I knew the average price of the game. Edited October 13, 2012 by GangsTa_
FinalNinja447 129 Posted October 13, 2012 As much as you may think it sucks, I'm gonna dupe the shit out of my last satchel charge, aggro every zombies in Cherno and, like you, fight off zeds (And maybe players) until my last bullets..... then I go out with my hatchet. Then once I realise just about how ****ed I am, I let all these zombies in... then let them have it by blowing up all the satchels. Going out in a blaze of glory.

a_casual_banana 38 Posted October 13, 2012 I'll continue with both, but not on the main hive (for the mod, I mean). The reason why I will continue with both, is I found a really great mod...for DayZ. And I know that THAT is a mod, and...K STOPPING BEFORE CONFUSAnyway, I'll be playing the standalone and the Hard Corps mod for DayZ Mod.

joeoblong@yahoo.com 614 Posted October 13, 2012 I'll be playing both although I assume more time in the SA. I am excited to see what the community does. (which is why I also plan on getting Arma 3)

Siberian (DayZ) 527 Posted October 13, 2012 i cant say until i play the SA..if the game has changes i dotn like or maybe things i expected that arent there. i very well may play the Mod instead.but if the SA is everything it should be i'll simply switch over fulltime and look back on the mod as a starting area for the SA.i doubt i'll even kill off my many characters across all the random maps/hives i have ongoing..i'll simply restart a SA character and go from there..in a RP sort of way i guess my Mod characters went on to live out their dayZ.. hahaah
Steak and Potatoes 13480 Posted October 13, 2012 I'm going to loot gear for hours in a vehicle then park it in the middle of a city pull all the gear out onto the ground around the vehicle in a circle.. Equip a hacthet and post the grid coordinates on side channel wait for the pot to boil over.

Hello moto 70 Posted October 13, 2012 I may very well play the mod if the SA isn't what I expected either, but I'm really holding hope that it will be. I mean at least a bigger map with a truck load of enterable buildings would be better still, not to mention it would be harder for scripters at least. BT_Fae_HB 24 Posted October 13, 2012 No sure if I'm bothering with the SA, will wait and see the general mumps and moans or pats on the back for a job well done, the concept is amazing and the potential is there no question but if it turns into a COD clone then I'll just play COD which is a much better PVP.
