Serious Stan 202 Posted October 4, 2012 I did an early flame about the uselessness of battleeye not too long ago, i blame them for a reason. And that was alone about their responsebility to keep cheats away from this game... Anticheat as they are. Now after 3 updates and i witnessed around 500 global bans i must say!I belive in battleeye now. I havnet been killed by a hacker in a week and i am really enjoying dayZ!Thanks for the updates. They are working!
fully 51 Posted October 4, 2012 Do not get too complacent, they are slowly getting weened out.I seen some chat spam come up on the side of screen, I decided to log out. Just when the whole server was killed.
terex 322 Posted October 4, 2012 Haven't had a hacker death in a while, or at least one I thought was a hacker. Playing only on private hives.

Playing only on private hives.I play on public hives, set battleye required to: Yeseven if its 30-40 players on the servers i have yet to see a hacker in a week. mibz0r 141 Posted October 4, 2012 I agree I haven't seen a hacker in a good few days so either the bypass isn't working or they're trying to troll the private hive players, on that note I did notice or got the impression that they moved over to the newer maps because a lot of people moved over to them. Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted October 4, 2012 For all the grief Battleye get they've made some great progress. I've noticed less hacking publicly and privatly.
Mos1ey 6301 Posted October 4, 2012 I play on public hives, set battleye required to: Yeseven if its 30-40 players on the servers i have yet to see a hacker in a week.Awesome! It had gotten to the point where I was playing private hives with <10 players cause it was the only way I could play for 10 minutes without being teleported in to the sky, lol.I've moved up to private hives with about 25 players in the last week or so and haven't seen any hackers yet. I guess I'll give high pop a try again. ;D
enforcer1975 1111 Posted October 4, 2012 They still have to deal with the illegal items problem, i doubt they will wipe the hive but at least they should add a remover into the mission that detects and removes items that should not be there in the first place...they already have the list. pvtjace 37 Posted October 4, 2012 Iv noticed zero hackers in 2 weeks now. All public servers..Seen constant bans, its insane!

GoodGrief 21 Posted October 4, 2012 Also have not been teleported and instantly killed in just over a week. This is pretty crazy and I was waiting for a thread on it, but are we just goading on the hacker cunts to come back? I see people get global bans all the time, in fact the Battleeye feed is quite immersion breaking in itself, there are so many ban messages. Has the grief hacking only stopped because they are banned or has there been some change in that arma patch? If there has been a change and the game's more secure, battle eye should come in here and post a freaking topic about that. maybe some hundreds of thousands come back to the public hive . glitches are also gone for me

Smythes 0 Posted October 4, 2012 I specifically made an account, just now, after seeing this thread - I too have not been killed (teleported/shot) by hacker in about 2 weeks also.It means we can start moving on to more populated servers with more of a purpose :)DayZ is a great concept and it's great tp think we know might be able to enjoy it as intended. GoodGrief 21 Posted October 4, 2012 (edited) It means we can start moving on to more populated servers with more of a purposeYeah man only played on the most full servers even during the worst of the hacking so I really noticed it just switch off like a light just over a week ago. It used to be 100% guaranteed I would get killed out the blue by a hacker. It has not happened once lately. It really has been safe to play on jam packed servers for over a week, just seems like many people haven't realised that yet Edited October 4, 2012 by GoodGrief
hitem 3 Posted October 4, 2012 (edited) ive encountered a few everyday (but i play on maybe 20 different servers in a day) but i can vouch for the number dropping in total.Great stuff ! Edited October 4, 2012 by No one

Taiphoz 95 Posted October 4, 2012 I have to say my major issue with the game right now is combat loggers and people that jump from a server while in combat to move behind you on another server and then log back in, or ghosting.I think they need to make it if you fire your gun or take fire and then you alt f4, it should just kill you on the spot and spill your guts all over the floor, better yet the server should drop a bomb on their face. Heavy_Bob 34 Posted October 4, 2012 BattleEye has not captured all the hackers, but in saying this has hit a majority of script kiddies.
