Abandonedcartoon 45 Posted October 1, 2012 I have a good internet connection and can play various games online with ping under 80 ping including League of legends, Tf2 and so on. For some reason dayz is giving me extremely high ping issues, when I first join a lobby im at anywhere from 30-80 ping and then within roughly 1-2 minutes my ping spikes to the several thousands 3000-12000 ping. I'm unsure why this is happening I have tryed several dozen servers over the course of a week and still am having this issue, on both of my laptops, and desktop. c4mpfire 2 Posted October 1, 2012 Only thing I can think of is try finding a server close to where you live. When I have big jumps like that I'm usually playing EU or Aussie servers. I live in Oklahoma and play on Texas servers mainly and my pings usually around 10-15. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Friday N 49 Posted October 12, 2012 Hmm sounds like it is possible the server searching (whether dayzcommander, 6launch or in game) is crashing your router - this happens to me if i use anything other than the ingame server search and even then happens occasionally. In Commander everything looks great, I join a server that Commander says is around 70ping, Get into the Lobby and still looks good. Join game and then 1-2 mins sometimes 5 mins, Bam ping goes to 600-700, then a min later bang 1500-2500.I have tried everything, there is nothing else on my network, there are no other progreams running, I quit steam, checked my Firwall, reste my router, (yes I am not downloading anything), and still, NO LUCK.So I saw this thread and hoped there is a solution out there.Thought id add that this has been happening for about 2-3 weeks. The Dutchman 0 Posted November 2, 2012 Hey Guys, THanks for the advice, Im just downloading ARMA again from Steam, (that really sucks BTW)....I'll try to ping the server once im in game later on, Also I did the ping test and it shows about the same as DayZ Commander does.I get great ping when i look in the list on Commander, but then I get into the game and it skyrockets throught th roof...Exit game and look at lists agin, ,,,All Good......Hmmm, it might be Commander itself?Anyway, Ill ping the server that I join at the same time im in game, and I'll let ya'll know how it goes.THnaks again. Hetstaine 10852 Posted November 2, 2012 I have had the same all the way through the mod until recently, then again my internet was a wooden spoon with some copper wire bound around it and thrown on the roof, since upgrading to more alcohol i find i can run four commanders at once.
