This is what I like to see from the community and with the base mod code being released I fully expect better minds than mine to come up with great tweaks to the mod. Great stuff guys and I will be coming by to check this out once it is released. Would be nice to know that there is no thermals scanning the forest for players and that zombies might actually be a problem for once.

Once we see that the hoard spawn works then we will work on wild animals attacking. Might think about mad cows also :D

I knew there was a reason I kill every cow on sight.

Just as a heads up, we are planning on releasing this mod in 72-ish. Note we will post if it will be over 3 - 4 days

Will one be able to run a server with this mod?

Or is it your server exclusively?

Is this a custom server software or are you basing the server on Bliss for example?

Thus making other people able to host a "real" dayz server :)

This sounds very interesting mate. Its alot of the stuff thats missing hehe.

Is this a custom server software or are you basing the server on Bliss for example? Its based off Saintly, rest is ours

Thus making other people able to host a "real" dayz server :) We may considerate it in future. As of now, its our server only.

I like everything about it, except for no NVG's. If it's purely based in a city, the ambient light seems to be fine. But, if it's Cherarus-like, I would like to not fall off a cliff or break my legs by running into a tree because I can't see where I'm going. NVG's are real, available items IRL, so why not include them in a game?

Because NVG are too OP for this game... player without them have no chance against full equiped guys with NVG... THIS is a really smart move...

This is the right way where game should go... if you want see... use flashlight flares or chemlight.... if you dont want to be seen... you have to be careful ;)

as an east coast player ( who is free to play at night ), i found spawning in 100% darkness frustrating, and usually ended up quickly dead.

I like the idea of some kind of ambient lighting.

I agree that the golden AK seems a bit misplaced, but everything else sounds fan-diddely-tastic. With nightvision/thermal gone, nighttime might actually be enjoyable.

Sounds good, I would also love to see streetlights/houses lit up at night, especially considering the removal of NV Goggles.

Lights make no sense in DayZ.. Who is running the power plants and who turns the lights on , in all these houses. Helis make no sense either as no way could anyone keep them running & keep them fueled.

Hmm... what about "Hitman"... he had golden guns doesn't he? And he is wearing Tuxedo :)

EDIT: At first i remembered GoldenEye but there was golden gun only in game... not movie i think.

Make the game more difficult and most intense fighting PVP, make larger backpack 16 slots only, remove SD guns, camo clothing, AS50, M107, make other snipers rare and hard to find ammo, hunger and thirst more times, please try this =)

Snipers, SD guns + camo clothes = Campers

Campers = no intense PvP battle, no fun
