Standalone Map. Ukraine

Someone mentioned that stand alone may be a map based on Ukraine... I beg beg beg... please may this be so.

There could be radioactive areas like Chernobyl. there will be a lot of cars there (as they were left after the disaster)

Then you have huge river splitting the country in two... which would be cool.

There are farming communities and mountin to the west and industrial city's to the west. there could be a nuked city where there is also radiation.

There is crimea which is only connected to land by a small bit. This could be like a final fronteer. The last stand. There could be a wall built there with refugee camps on other side and a fleet of ships that was supposed to have evacuated everyone.

The standalone map is Chernarus Plus, an improved version of the current map with more detail, more enterable buildings, a whole bunch if terrain tweaks and even some entirely new areas.

Ukraine sounds like a good idea, there could be suits you have to find to go inside Chernobyl

It will be Chernarus still, but as smasht said, it will be improved a lot. And I didn't even know about new areas, that is good to hear.

Chernarus Plus is ok. It would be nice to walk and search the new things & changes, but after running around for month in the old map, the improved version will faster going boring because all know this map. It would be a very good idea to make a completly different Map so there is a new challenge.

Hopefully there come new maps. ;)

Stalker?? 1 if you had read the book by strugatski brothers then you wouldnt say that....

And 2 the chernobyl disaster did happen in April 1986. Want it or not... its real... and radiation is real too!!!

And 3 it would an awesome aspect to the game, as there would be loot... but you couldnt farm it as radiation would slowly kill you!!!

pfffff everyone knows the book and the movie came before chernobyl. The game that loans from those is set to chernobyl though, and yes, when I first thought of post apocalyptic game set in Ukraine, Stalker!
