Ban all Russian players.

Recommended Posts

I don't like to tar an entire group of people with the same brush and all that but I've had to ban around 10 people from my server this evening which is a little more than a usual evening. Things range from god mode, teleporting to players, spawning gear and teleporting all the vehicles to the coast. All these people except one this evening had something in common, that being they were from Russia.

This seems to be a common thing as well, while some scripters will be from elsewhere the vast majority I've found are from Russia. Short of setting a ping limit so low that none from Russia can join my server is there a way to ban all Russian IPs?

I've noticed that throughout all of the games I play, Russian players are the absolute worst gamers you can encounter. They're vile.

All they do is act like they never had the shit beat out of them as children and think the world owes them everything in existence.

I've met some really great Russian's throughout my career in DayZ. Some of them are really great guys.

If you guys have seen a particular one of PSISyndicate's videos, you would know that not all Russians are like what you stated in your post.

I take offence to this!

In so many levels!

Edit; I should also mention that I'm not really from Russia. I'm from the part of Russia that kicked its ass and left it bleeding on the side of the street(Finland). But I still take offence in you wanting to ban the whole damn country and everyone in it from your server, because of a few bad apples.

It's beyond a joke, Battleye constantly kicking people for script restrictions or vehicle spawning restrictions or having an invalid GUID. Every single one of them is Russian.

Do you actually play DayZ yourself, outside of your own server? Literally everybody gets kicked for script restrictions just for standing still and being afk. It's a BattleEye bug, not actual scripts most of the time.

I never said they were but almost all of the scripters I've had to ban are Russian. That means either most scripters are Russian or all the crap scripters that get caught are Russian. I think it's more likely the former.

I take offence to the droves of your fellow countrymen coming on my server that I pay for and ruining the game for everyone.

How about you cheap ass Russians play on Russian servers only?

How about you read my little edit, hm?

Those few bad apples all come from one place pretty much, it makes perfect sense to impose a blanket ban. It will solve most of my scripting problems. I play occasionally on different servers and don't get kicked for script restrictions nor do I know anyone that does. The only time I have been kicked for a script restriction was on my own server and that was for clicking server control Restriction #195. I don't ban people for being kicked by Battleye but I do monitor them when they rejoin.

Whether you prefere the term racist, bigot or xenophobe, I think this thread applies.

Here's a term for you. Idiot, that's what you are because you post a reply without reading the original post properly.

pbbans ban stats for bf3:

Russian Federation - 4,607

United States - 2,421

Germany - 1,239

those three make up roughly 60% of the total bans.

Not that it's nice to paint the whole nation, but sadly, Longs is right.

DayZ, BF3, COD, you name the game, and you will struggle to find a legit Russian player, whether he is hacking, cheating, scripting or exploiting the game.

Unfortunatelly, that is the truth. like it or not.

Russians have a reputation for skidding, but really no need to make a borderline racist topic about it

Most Russian servers i join either involve me spawning in as a goat or being dropped randomly into the sea from 2000 ft.

No, you are not allowed to ban people for their nationality.

Coming up with an idea like that is a good deal worse than hacking, I can't even begin to think what went through your head while typing that up.

Locked.
