What i feel is that some get special treatment and they do what they want. Get the feeling that some admins may vary right biased and not deal with the problems.

Then I personally been the victim of combatlogging plenty of times, people who quickly disconnect so their body disappears and nothing happens the player ... Should it be so? Do we have biased admins or where is the problem?

So please grasp the problem before more players disappear from this great server.

Let's get things straight.

There is only one admin who bans & disciplines players and that is the owner of the server Mac. All complaints should be sent to his email address. What he does is up to him, he pays for the server we don't. If you don't like it then leave.

Combat logging - disconnecting after dying is not combat logging. Just because the body disappears doesn't mean the player did anything wrong, they simply left a game after dying. It's a mod not a standalone game, there are expected frustrations when playing so deal with it.

To admins:

What I want adding is side chat and death messages, both would help. There is NO community on this server, it's groups of players sitting in different rooms on TS doing PVP. I heard it was removed due to arguments and foul language... This game is about collecting guns, surviving zombies and killing players... It's not Club Penguin so face the fact that swearing and abuse is a way players communicate.

Mac - please remove the access to the teleportation tool the shop players have access to. It's full on bullshit that I hear Stearns Aliv3 etc. teleport round the map at free will.

Enforcing rules needs to be kicked into gear, there are FAR too many complaints on this thread.

I know of this Humvee incident, but nothing of the helicopter incident. I am off for the next 4 days, so grab me at some point and we can discuss these frustrations.

Combat logging seems to be a big issue just now. I look into every single combat log that is reported to me. However, there isn't a massive amount of people that actually report it. In the logs it only notes someone as "Combat Logging" if they have disconnected while there gun is flashing. If this is found, the player is killed. If it is found repeatedly for the same player, this will result in a ban.

Other forms of combat logging can involve aborting while in a fight, but the gun symbol isn't flashing as you haven't been shot at recently. While this is a total douchebag move, the game does allow it. The developers have created the flashing gun symbol and put a timer on it. So they classify combat logging as logging out if you have been shot at within the last 30 seconds or so (I think that is how long the symbol flashes for). Perhaps this timer is something that could be extended, all I can do with that is report it to the developers and see if they take it on board.

Aborting quickly after your death, resulting in your body disappearing is a reported bug in the game.

I am off for the next few days, so I will attempt to set up an official way of dealing with all combat logging and complaints.

Done, it was only for my younger customers in the shop so they could be TP'd together when they started playing. My rule was that it was never used in Combat situations. I'm not working evenings at the moment so I've removed access to the TP program.

Dear Biss,

you had this encounter with us, the BABO group, and we already explained the situation to you and i will do it again for the last time. You shot our helicopter down, 4 guys died from the helicopter crash or the direct result of it by bleeding out to wounds inflicted by the crash itself. 1 guy however survived the helicopter crash totaly unharmed but his character was stuck inside the helicopter and he was unable to move out of it, so we told him just do a quick relog, as he did, he relogged in like 1 minute, so his character would get unstuck from the heli. When he logged back in you were already looting the dead guys and you tried to kill him, but you failed and then he killed you in return after his login procedure was finished.

You came to our channel and we tried to find an agreement on how we can sort this situation, we agreed on you getting your stuff, your car and we could take ours.

Even the admin who was with you in that situation explained to you, that this game has alot of bugs and sometimes things can only be "fixed" by quickly relogging into the game.

Now what is really hilarious about all this, is how you blame us on combat logging, but you just combat logged us in a 100% situation today.

I have never seen such a fucking hypocrite as you. Admins already took care of your character.

To be honest, a player 'stuck' in a helicopter after it being shot down definitely shouldn't relog whilst there's a player round, let alone relog then kill him.

But then I'd expect nothing other than glitch abuse by the BABO group.

In todays situation i ambushed you and kill two players instantly, car drove off , i saw player right of my , tried to shoot him, but got "no response from server" like i did night ago and loose my chopper. I was so fucking mad and seriosly started to think that somebody is fucking bombard me with tcp packets.

After that i needed to go to work and still didnt log, probably im dead or something, and admin of course do that without talking to me.

Im leaving the server with my friends. Will try to find other nice server to play.

Yeah, it's quite common to get DDOS'ed for your DayZ equipment. They probably wanted your compass, they're really sought after.

I'm surprised Mac, Jack or Papa didn't do anything about your internet disconnecting. When my internet disconnected once, Mac gave me a foot rub whilst Papa rang my ISP to complain, but I guess that's because I'm friends with them.

I wouldn't say that tbh. I've contributed to the Admins with some SQL work to aid in the administration of the server and I have not received, nor would I expect (or want), any special privileges for myself or the group I'm in. In fact I (and my team-mates) have been capped by the same guys but I wouldn't have it any other way! It's all been fair play as far as I can see and none of us have had any grounds to complain. It would be disappointing to learn if there was an admin 'clique' but from the involvement & conversations I've had with them I really doubt that would ever be the case. If I felt any other way or had any doubts over trust I wouldn't have offered to help in the first place.

Dying is just part of the fun in DZ, it's a mod that is bugged to jiggery that people seem to think is a finely tuned and exquisite final product. There are many ways to die and some of these might raise an eyebrow or two, but there's no need to throw vitriolic words around and put a tin-foil hat on!

Than I dont know really how to explain situation where nobody said anything to them, but admin instantly killed without talking with me. Im always happy to speak with anyone on teamspeak regarding problems in game or RL.

It is not a server administrator's role to look after you when you disconnect from the server unless it's a fault with the server.

As no-one else disconnected, it is highly likely that it was in fact your system or network connection that was to blame. I can say that it is highly unlikely that you were subjected to a denial of service attack through a bombardment of TCP packets though. If you believe, however, that this is the case reporting it to your ISP will get the issue confirmed. It is unlikely to solve the problem as the legislation behind DOS attacks is complicated, but finding out if in fact a player is subjecting others to DOS attacks will result in them being banned from the server.

If you have problems on the server, feel free to speak with myself about them. I'm not an admin, but I might be able to help anyway.

I feel as though a lot of the complaints on this thread are misguided and uneducated, unfortunately it's tarnishing the appearance of the server though.

Combat logging is an issue that drives me nuts. I hate it. Does an admin need to speak to someone who combat logged before killing their character? Nope of course not. It's the rule, it flashes up on screen whilst your playing.... Biss if you don't want this to happen to you, don't combat log. If it's seen in the logs that you get shot, lose blood and then quit out the game then that's a pretty straight forward case of combat logging and should be punished.

Sounds like the BABoooooooo guys offered you a decent compromise with the helicopter situation so I can't see why your crying about that tbh......
