  1. Is there a change log for 1.7.7 yet? Only new things I noticed last night were: Some zombies spawn in dead (I just thought I was being followed by some sneaky hatchet bandit) Machetes aren't like gold dust anymore There's a plane on the server?
  2. Hi, A friend of mine got kicked and emailed for whitelisting last night. He's actually my housemate and we both have the day off work today, so would be great if we could both get on soonish??? Oh, and bump.
  3. Does anybody know about a bug where sniper rifles disappear? I've logged out with an M107 and CZ50 and both have vanished out of my hands when I log back in. Ta!
  4. Back on the server after a 2 month lay off. It's all good! It does seem a bit infested with bandits fighting it out on the coast, but it's nice to know I'm not playing on a care bear server. A little more player interaction wouldn't go a miss though, give it a try, most rewarding aspect of the game. Speak first, shoot later. FYI, I'm playing with Jerry Can-Trell atm. Looking forward(ish) to bumping into you all :D We played the last few nights breaking Rule No.1 (Must be member of team speak) and had to run around for hours trying to find people in-game to give us the password. Was surprisingly fun and I'm now a law abiding citizen/survivor (thanks [EK]Blitzkeg? although you did murder me later on when I came to help you in the Elektro pub). Does this Friday night fight event still happen? Think I prefer the idea of 24/7 vanilla DayZ. But sure other people love it. Anyway, if you see a guy running around that looks like Freddie Mercury in aviators, don't shoot, say hello ... and get well soon Mac, you and the admins are doing a great job! Hobnobs.

    SA Zombie/Infected Death Mechanics

I think you misunderstood. I didn't mean survivors coming back as the walking dead. Re-read Fair point! But that would be a realistic possibility and a good survival technique in these kind of conditions. I see it as a legit thing to do. Plus it would encourage team work to implement. Couldn't be done for the whole map and maybe just make frags nice and rare :)
  6. Would this be possible? What if the infected didn't die? Instead of death, when you drop a zed, you put it to sleep for 5,6,7... minutes or even a random time depending on how you drop them, a sort of dead state, and after that timer has passed it will slowly arise and come back to life. This would mean zombies wouldn't ever have to spawn except for at the start of the server or after a restart. There'd be no "wiping the server end game" which is something I'm personally concerned about for PvP reasons. The infection would be an endless problem with no solution. Think it'd be great if you were running through Cherno and zombie corpses were a worry, reanimating around you.
  7. Tried shooting a cow last night. Zombies weren't happy, they all flooded out of the town and went bezerk. Think it was a sacred zombie cow or something
  8. Having previously played in a server with green zones (which really wasn't my idea of how DayZ should be), I can say this server is about as hardcore, vanilla DayZ as it gets. Perfect for people looking for a pure survival experience. - No death messages means, no shooting till a message pops up, CoD style. You have to check your victim's cold dead pulse instead. - No thermal weapons. Means nobody can sit in the woods at the airfield waiting for victims to illuminate. Now we can all hunt "Sacriel style" - Cars are more plentiful, but not in abundance. You've still done well if you've got one. So yeah, looking forward to spending more nights on this server. Highly recommend! *****
  9. Hi mac, Just emailed you too. Leaving a private hive due to disappointment with the admin, I won't name the hive here, but they seem to be resetting their server every fortnight and it's a real game breaker. Addicted, dedicated player and constructive community member looking to get off the coast again!
  10. Haha, BonBon. Had some alright gear on me too :) What's your in game name? Why were you eating before you hijacked me. Although, if you weren't eating I suppose you wouldn't have got me. #CuriositykilledtheHobnob
  11. How would admin and members feel about a reduction of the Green zone? Namely, remove Elektro from it. I think I've made my opinion of GZs quite clear, but hear me out: — This sunday, there was a chopper in need of repair on top of the hospital, Elektro. People were not allowed to attack/defend it whilst it was being repaired. That was a real shame as there could have been some ace firefights over that. *Imagine* firefights from hospital roof to the school roof, with added danger element of sniper hill. - Missed opportunity there — Elektro is the better of the two large towns for repairing sought after vehicles — Elektro has, possibly, the best ambush potential on the map — Cherno is the better of the two towns for new spawns, hospitals, apartments, residential buildings and pubs. — There is something missing when spawning in green zones, personally, I like the disadvantage of being unarmed — Smaller green zones might attract more players. We had 18 online on Sunday when I logged off, which was great, but could be better. So yeah, once again, bumping this thread. Just a few thoughts, still a great server :D
  12. *BUMP Great server, runs smooth, loads quick. Ran by dedicated admin. Personally I don't go the green zones, but there's plenty of surviving and vehicles up North. It just needs to become more populated with survivors now 8/10 (-1 Green Zones, -1 Needs more members)
  13. Have you had any incidents of hacking yet? Not really sure on the green zone, I play hero, so for me not to PvP in Cherno/Elektro doesn't bother me. But the lack of somebody PvP'ing me sort of does. Those cities should still definitely be the biggest threat to a survivor, red zones - a melting pot, especially if trades are taking place there. Also they're great areas for players with vehicles (and likely to have high end gear) to fix their vehicles. If a new spawn bandit sees somebody better equipped than themselves there, shouldn't he/she be able to have a pop at them for their gear? ...and sniper sociopaths on the hills. If their rifles are legit and not hacked, shouldn't they be allowed to go down there and risk losing it all just to satisfy their lust for killing. If you die new spawn, you lose maybe 20minutes and then just start again at the end of the day. You do eventually break the cycle, and learn a lot in the process. How about enforcing this green zone in game instead? Leave it up to the players to make them safe, rather than "said safe zone" Just some ideas to consider really. I always thought the death matching was a result of the hackers. Would no hackers restore the natural balance of Chernarus? Would be awesome to find out Anyways, even after all of that, I'd still really like to give this a go. I'd only be up North anyway. Hopefully I'll pass the test. Just trying to be constructive.
  14. :D Not sure if these beans are for you or the hacker. Sounds like a Brothers Grimm Dayz Fairytale

    Server UK01

This weekend you banned a friend of mine. He does not script, but we think he may have had a scripted weapon, found on somebody else. As this server is now where our legitimate camp is and what we have come to call home, I was hoping you'd get in touch via PM so we could discuss reversing his ban. I think the ban code had DW in it? Regards, Hobnobs
