I don't know, maybe help others achieve endgame status? It'd be a lot better than keeping them from ever reaching their goals.

Although I'm pretty careful, I always know someone is nearby because of the gunshots.

So I watch them from a distance/avoid them. No reason to engage, and certainly no reason to team up.

I feel like you play alone and to me, playing alone in DayZ is rather boring, especially at endgame status.

I always play with at least one irl mate and if we're all at end game status, we hunt out clans as they are a much more challenging experience than just killing off other random players.

Just an opinion/suggestion.

Most of us are a mixture of all of these and I found some of the quickest on the draw were those complaining the loudest in side chat. It really depends on when you catch me, if I am alone and the situation is right I will be very friendly, if I am with my cruel IRL friends we will murder you, and if I am with a group of people I met elsewhere it is anyone's bet. I actually switch play style from time to time as a change up, so I have been called it all (note play style never includes hacking).

I'm not roleplaying I'm myself yes. The difference between my real life and my in game behavior comes from the fact that I don't consider dieing dieing. Nor I consider your virtual life an actual life. I consider video games a competition. Kinda like chess. I don't do you any harm by defeating you in a chess match. Same here. The graphics of the game show that I kill you in a virtual world but it actually is just beating you in a competition. I consider video games what they are, games. You wouldn't tell a guy who beats people in chess not to buy a gun would you? I mean, that guy just fucking KILLED a horse.

And deal with it. Killing people asap means eliminating threats and getting loot. If you loot people's corpses you might even save yourself from going to the hotspots. KoS is the second most efficient way of reducing your probability of getting killed. First is living in a forest somewhere up north near a pond and feeding on animals, never having any contact with people.

EDIT- Now to include why I consider things to be like, how you are in DayZ, you are in real life. I basically really hate my life, yadda yadda details, and i find DayZ to be better. The life of my character is just so much better than mine, so I just get into it, and put MYSELF in the game to be exactly who I am, just living in a better world, with a better life. As in real life, all I have are suicidal thoughts. So I just like to get away from all that on DayZ, and sometimes I get too far into it that I forget that it ISN'T real life (Due to a hallucinatory effect of a mental disorder I have) and consider everyone in DayZ, to be the same as I'd see them in the real world. So I'd just like to say thank you for actually explaining that.

But definitely no thank you to the guy who found it fun to tell me I'm ignorant because of mental problems I have.

Hey no problem man. And don't give in to the depression. Been there and it's really just your brain lying to you that it will never get better. It will, trust me. Word of advice, find someone to talk about it with if you haven't already. Helps a lot.

While I respect getting into a game, folks that get that involved usually do stupid stuff like off themselves cuz they lost a loot roll in WoW. Pretty scary.

Not implying you are that type, but some other folks just should not play games.

You cannot expect others to find it acceptable either, as it is more of a mental disability than a play style, and therefore "normal" folks cannot relate.

Depends what gear I'm running. I certainly am going to be much more cautious when meeting other players (Especially lower tier ones looking at my shiny ghillie suit and M4A1 SD). Usually I stay far from high populated areas for good sake but I,m most of the time very friendly and won't shoot if you don't aim your weapon at me.

there are alot more people with the "be as nice as possible and then stab them in the back when there not looking". I always go the other way when i see someone now, because everytime i am nice and put away my gun and go about my business, they creeper follow me and hatchet me or shoot me in the back.

now i just shoot them if they keep following me with no warnings.

I won't shoot first, and i won't snipe you, but if you keep following me into buildings and staying behind me without chatting, your just waiting to kill me in a spot where you can loot me.
