I thought I did good the whole way through. The fact that I shot that fellow at the end may seem cold and heartless, but I've been shot/axed in the back after a random "friendly" 1 too many times. With no nameplates on, I can't be sure if I killed him or not, but no one died for quite some time after I shot him. He may have survived, he was around the back of the hospital, I'd like to think he pulled out ok.

One time I met a "friendly" who was very curious as to what I was carrying. I tried to walk towards him but hit E instead, causing me to lean, just as he fired right past my head. I ran past him to a building, and after a standoff, eventually killed him.

^Pussssyyyyyyyyy. He's not a pussy for not finishing you, seeing as you're laying down and he'd have to put himself in an easy position to get killed from if he tries to finish you. It's easier to wait for you to bleed out, but instead you couldn't handle losing your hacked gear so you combat logged.

Easy position? i had no idea where he as. he knew where i was. all he had to do was run around, throw a flare and kill me. hell he could of sprayed and gotten me.

This faggot was just prone. hiding. waiting for someone to walk OVER him, probably waiting for hours, then when a fight does come, and he has the advantage, its still not enough. its why DayZ is a piece of shit hyped game, i love the game but i always read "AWH DUDE YOU SHOULD PLAY NIGHT TIME, ITS SO GOOD" no, no i doubt i should, its probably full of people not actually playing the game, but just hiding, not even breathing or making a sound, its stupid.

Good stories - I dont agree on bailing when in a fight, the closest I came to ALT 4 was in the NW baracks with a friend, night and he had NV,s while I hold his hand, I have adjusted the video settings but didn't really help much, anyways -We are in the shower area and we heard someone eat, He had just checked all the rooms through the windows and no-one was there, I think he spawned in, well my friend opened the door while crouched and closed it behind him for a better shot and left me inside (I am new to the game and had m9, 1 clip and AKM no clips - Bang, he is dead - In team speak he says grab his NV's and M4sd, I try and open the door and his body is in the way and it will not open all the way, I try to find the gear tag but cant, I close the door and wait to try to open it again and all the sudden the door goes ajar again, not me - I shot all the clip at the crack and nothing, they are shooting back, I am prone - Anyways they notice they cant open it, theres no windows so they loot and leave, laughing in chat at the guy stuck in Bathroom - It actually took my friend a half hr to come and find all his gear looted and hide the body so I could get out - He was pissed at me and didnt play again with me for a week - After that I have been a loner since :)

I was on a newly found dirt bike, heading to pick up a friend in stary. I was driving from our campsite where I deposited fresh loot before taking the trip to pick him up. The evac was east of stary along a dirt road.

As I mashed the throttle, my squad member became visible walking on the road and I began to slow down. About 75 meters away I heard *SNAP SNAP* - I was taking fire from an unknown source at my six o'clock. I yelled to my friend, "SHOTS FIRED GET DOWN". He started to panic, shouting, "I HEAR THEM, THEY ARE BEHIND YOU". Suddenly 3 more shots *BOOM THUNK THUNK* my friend was down. I recognized the AS-50 and AKM immediately.

Faced against at least 2 enemies, by myself now, I hit the throttle and began heading off road. As I weaved through a dense wooded area without crashing, more shots fired at me.. This time the AKM user was full-auto.

I weaved my little dirt bike like a snowboard, narrowly missing pine trees, bushes and various other forest life.

The shots continued. This is when I realized that I was within maximum range of both weapons, escape was not going to come quickly.

I noticed a clearing up ahead and went for it. I hoped the forest would provide ample concealment so that I could gain some distance from these bandits. I noticed a paved road about 100m outside of the forests edge and sweat out every second it took to reach it. All the while I was taking shots *SNAP* *SNAP* I did my best to bob and weave to avoid getting hit.

Once I hit the road, I mashed the turbo button and never looked back. Once I drove about 2km, i figured it was safe.. I turned off my bike and began finding a new route to pickup my fallen comrad.

I don't know if this is a really good one, because I usually die when something bad happens or very shortly after it.

Well, on my current character I was low on blood and I didn't have any matches, so I ran trough Cherno a few times and got my blood back on full by only eating canned food. Now I have a tent up, which I found from the supermarket. And also found a ghillie suit from some unfortunate guys tent.

Two days ago I find an ATV. Me and my buddy manage to get it going but I ran out of gas trying to get it back to our camp. So I hop off and go off to find a jerry can. I manage to find one but....I forgot to write down the coordinates where I left the ATV (which was in the middle of the forest). So I hope on my bicycle and start searching where I think I left it. While I'm riding down a hill unable to stop I slam straight into a V3S civilian fully repaired with half a tank of gas so I eagerly drop my bike and drive that sucker home. Afterwards I was paranoid about where the ATV was so went back looking for it. I managed to find it and some gas in her. I didn't like where it was so decided to risk driving it without repairing that fuel tank. I was 500m from camp when BOOM! There I am bleeding, knocked out beside my now wrecked ATV. When I finally woke up and bandaged myself I turned on the debug to see that my blood was at 150. Looks like I get to live another day. At the time I was on day 13

So, this is the craziest thing that has happened to me in DayZ. Really, tell me if this has happened to you guys as well:

I was in the construction site in middle of nowhere, just looting it.

I was just about to leave and when I see a few zombies on the last loot spot, so I check my backpack if I need more loot. I decide to sneak in, so I go to prone.

But this is where it gets good: A sniper took the shot with an M107 just when I went prone. It went right past my head, the screen went all orange from the suppression and I heard a very loud gunshot (This what gives it away, it's an M107.)

So I start running trough the smaller buildings and I use the small hole in the wall behind the complex to get out. I zig-zag and sprint away.

Then I heard 5 more shots from the M107 and some smaller rifle shots (Probably his spotter.) and none hit me.

That was the best DayZ moment I've had.

There I was, raiding Berezino military tents in the darkness of night, when a survivor trailing 8 zombies runs down the road next to the tents heading west out of town! I have my NVGs and my DMR, so I figure "Hey, I'll be a good samaritan and take those zombies out." So I start shooting, my cannon of a gun shattering the still night air, picking of the zombies one-by-one. There are three left and the survivor is clearing trailing blood. SUDDENLY! He zigs instead of zagging and gets tagged by my DMR, killing him instantly...a clean headshot. The last three zombies eating his corpse...no zeds on me, I go over to his corpse, pull my G17 and head shot the three zeds. Took his beans, burried his body (he didn't have much) out of respect for the fallen. As I stand to leave, ZING ZING! Two rounds hit around me from an AK-74 on a survivor who was giving his now dead friend overwatch! I high tail out back to town, weaving between buildings and ducking into a super market, I throw a chemlight out near the three apartment buildings next the the store as a distraction....and wait. Sure enough, the survivor came looking...taking the bait too. He went into the first apartment and I aimed my rifle right at one of the back sliding glass doors on the second level. He peaked his head out leaning, crouched down, and strolled on the deck. I then open mic'd him saying "Didn't mean to shoot your friend, was trying to kill the zeds on him." He looks around and replies, "just show yourself so I can kill you F*** face!" I say, "I have you in my cross hairs, you move and I blow your head off!" ............He said "prove it"...I shoot from behind a cash register and purposefully hit the wall near his head he goes prone and starts to move. "Move again and you are dead!" He shoots at the general direction of the store wildly spraying. He crouches up, BOOM! His head is now a canoe, hollowed out with a 7.62mm FMJ.

I loot his bag, take his beans and his ANTIBIOTICS!!! JACKPOT!, and buried his body to be a dick so he can't get his Kobra AKS, 1911,
