Seeing as they won't even force people to switch to the new naming convention (It's been posted by them for over 2 weeks, but more than half the servers are still on the old one, and new servers are using it as well), I highly doubt they would ever force people to switch to veteran.

They just need to blacklist those servers that don't comply.

Is there a reason why when you sometimes disconnect and reconnect you start knocked out? Because last night when I was playing the whole server got kicked by a corrupted memory thing with battle eye. Well need to say, I was in a boat, reconnected was 40ms off shore and knocked out..... It's annoy because it does it every time for me, like I disconnect go get a drink and use the bathroom, and come back thirty mins and I'm knocked out??? Like Wth!

Starting without a gun would make for an awesome Zombie survival mechanic.

It will however make you unable to defend yourself from a single Zombie much less a player that has found a gun. The odds are you will find a primary weapon first. So, you will finally be able to use a flashlight. : )

As for changing some of the starting items.

-1 Morphine injector

-4 or 5 makrov clips (Start with Makarov 8|1 or 8|0)

+1 Empty Whiskey Bottle (especially if you don't have a starting pistol)

I am excited to test out the new zombie behaviors. This could really make ninja town runs exciting.

You can place tents...

Yes. Tents DO work, you just have to get to the place you want to pitch it and select 'pitch tent' repeatedly while moving slowly around the place. You will eventually find a spot where your character starts doing the animation and that's it.

I know because I have 4 tents in 3 different servers ;)

Yes this works most of the times, be careful though, sometimes the player will clip inside the tent resulting in broken bones, massive blood loss, pain etc. I learned this the hard way :)

I had some trouble placing mine, but mostly because i wasn't at a flat location clear of objects (like it tells you that you need to be) once i found an area that applied it went down no problem.

I have noticed a problem with both kills not registering, and bodies disappearing far too quick. Someone shot at me from about 300m away, I spotted him and managed to drop him, but by the time I got to his body it was gone. It didn't register as a kill, yet I saw he died with blood spurting out all over him. I have also noticed that when a player dies and disconnects the bodies disappears too. This is in particular is becoming a problem as more players realise this and immediately disconnect when they die.
