[1.7.2] DayZ loot cheat sheet

Wanna know what loot you will be able to find in certain building or where best loot spawns? If so, then here is something for you:

Why would I delete it? I say well played sir, well played :)

I like to think the values are pretty intuitive anyway, this just makes it easier.

Well you still gotta find the stuff. And doesn't stop the zombies, or the snipers. It just tells you the probabilities.

Cool then.

But now people can see how much the spawnpoints for interesting things are... limited.

And when i say limited it's like Barracks and stations, that's it. And there's two Barracks on Chernarus, and just a little more for Stations. It's really, really, limited.

Cool then.

But now people can see how much the spawnpoints for interesting things are... limited.

And when i say limited it's like Barracks and stations, that's it. And there's two Barracks on Chernarus, and just a little more for Stations. It's really, really, limited.

Too bad they don't suggest anything and stay passive then. Because having 4 interesting points for loot on a 225km2 map is damn shame.

If i read the sheet well, just respawn, move your ass at airfield, loot, server hop, loot, server hop, loot and that's it son, that's how you got nice shit.

Damn fucking shame. Chernarus is not pleased to be used like that.

Those items are rare because of their % of loot. Not by their placement. That's what i'm saying.

Indeed, it's more than easy.

Just add more handmade military camps in the wild ( tents and shit, take about 5-10 minutes in the editor to place and create ), add interesting spawnpoints in your new fresh camp, and that's it.

More interesting spawnpoints, more diversity in places, no more " RUSH AIRFIELD §§§11 ", and people have to actually DISCOVER SHIT instead of running brainlessly to the same fucking place everytime.

Win / win.

With the skills rocket have, he can even do a dynamic system, like an AC-130 or something like that, that drops a military package once in a while in a total random place. So people have to actually move their asses and discover new places with the idea of awesome loot in head.

Read over the table found it quite interesting.

NVG/M107/m24 (and probably other items: illustrative) used to be on the military level spawn list (from my experience) and they've now been pushed into barracks only (2 of those buildings i know of in the game both at NW airfield) and are on a 0.11% spawn chance (1/1000).

I understand some items need to be rare but even across 12 nodes per barracks (which only spawn items 40% of the time) you're odds are still extremely terrible! even bumping it to 0.2 or 0.3 will still make the items extremely rare 1/500, 1/333 while making them not borderline impossible. (i realise more nodes improve your odds but across 24 nodes [all in NW airfield Afaik] spawning only 40% of the time they're still quite, quite low.).

As it stands the spawning system seems a little funky in its present state (it goes for zeds also spawning in a area closely packed around you) and loot rarely seems to respawn or recycle (more pressing issue than the above but neither are critical)(i have no idea if there's a timer on it if someone knows lmk!)

Fuck diversity ? Sure.

Boring as fuck ? Sure too.

Airfield is dangerous because it's almost the only place in the game for looting nice shit.

Add more interesting spawnpoints ? They will be dangerous too in about two hours.

Actually, there are loads of places for 'nice shit'.

There are three airfields, plenty of stations, and a whole heap of deer stands. Yes, you'll have to LOOK for them, but that's not so much an issue.

This allows the Airfield to still be higher risk/higher reward. But for the players that don't want to go there, they can still find the gear if they look long enough or invest that much time.

I actually thought that is how it was. Knowing that I never even had a chance of finding some of the items on this list while I was searching a ton of towns is almost depressing.

Well by that i included firestations, because they're at the moment pretty much the only other place that actually spawns advanced hardware.

I've made a script on the editor, his role is to detect places like stations and show them to me on my map using the class name of these objects.

And guess what ?

plenty of stations

Excuse me what, are you actually serious ? ( red dots are station )

Only one is truely interesting.

deer stands

One loot inside, extremely rare to get something interesting out of them except knifes, food, smokes grenade or... nothing. Also they're espaced as fuck.

How is only one airfield truly interesting? They ALL have the same spawns.

My point about deer stands is that they're all over the place. That means you have a chance of finding loot just about anywhere.

And if you didn't notice, the stations are smack bang inside Elektro and Cherno: The two most heavily populated areas on the map.

If you're well organized, it is.

The problem is that, apart from the airfield and the military bases (and the corpses of other players), you will never find something really valuable by sheer luck (even if it is a one in a million probability) according to this sheet.

So what's the point in trying to exploring the map, the different towns if you know you won't be able to progress anymore.
