If You Could Add 1 Weapon to DayZ...

Recommended Posts

What weapon would it be? Include rarity, ammunition type, usable magazines, power, space in inventory, recoil, and noise. Try to use the format on the wiki. Here is a loot chart if you're wondering.

I vote the Kel-Tec Sub 2000, which is classified as a "pistol carbine", buyable as a civilian but used in law enforcement in some areas. It shares magazines of all sizes with popular 9mm pistols, and fires 9mm rounds at .357 magnum velocities. Only 4lbs, and folds in half to the size of a large sidearm. Extremely low chance of finding it in civilian areas, moderate chance in deer stands and barracks:

I would like the crossbow to be fixed and a compound bow to be added so I can make like Burt Reynolds in Deliverance.

I want some variety in the AK47/AKM line. There are already at least 2-3 other models/weapons using the same magazine including the AKS, and SA-58. All use same ammo but would be nice to get more in the game for variety's sake. Also more hunting rifles! Would be really nice to have a CZ .22 calibre weapon even if it used the same model as the 550. Much quieter!

There should be a lot of new weapons added for variety. Im sick of seeing the Lee Enfield, Winchester and CZE. Would be nice to see more variety, even if they were similar in ability.

Additional attachment: Zielgerät 1229

An IR-light and scope also known as the "Vampire", it was however not sensitive to body heat and it saw its first use in feb. 1945. The users of this IR-device where nicknamed "Nachtjäger" (night-hunter).

The same system, but enlarged was also used on tanks and APC's in the latter half of WWII, permitting night operations.

I would just replace the Crossbow with a Compound Hunting Bow and add a Quiver with it.

ch5_01.gif

Ammo: Steel Arrow (you could seriously just use the bolt and increase its length)

Weapon Slot: Primary

Special Abilities: If you find a Quiver, it will go into your primary ammo slots and take up 2 spaces. However, the Quiver would allow you to hold at least 10 arrows in it (whereas arrows take up 1 space themselves, like a bolt). You won't be able to fire arrows straight from the quiver (because ArmA II, maybe) but it would be used as a means of storage.

Bow Rarity: Very common in deer stands, common in barns and residential, and uncommon in stores.

Quiver Rarity: Common in deer stands, uncommon in barns (this is so that it means something to have a quiver).

Ammo Rarity: Very common in deer stands, common in barns and residential, and uncommon in stores.
