Only hackers and dupers are camping the coast/Cherno/Elektro. Fix those problems and it won't be an issue. There just isn't enough legit ammo for m107s/AS50s to be wasting it on fresh spawns who have little to no gear. Its worth killing players with AS50s at Starry or wherever because you have a chance to loot a well equipped player. MAYBE there are some players who are in really well organized clans who can sustain the ammo, but I doubt there would be many and I doubt they waste most of their time killing coastals. Clans like to fight clans and most of the players camping the coast are running solo anyways.

That's what I did. Mostly. But to be fair, we used to play on US 434, where Elektro was full of hackers. On the good days there were 10 corpses with the same gear + Ghillie (which weren't even in the loottable at the time) rotting inside the restaurant. Not that we only shot hackers, just saying. ;)

Half the snipers in Cherno were given their gear from scripters anyway. Every 2nd person I kill has a full kit of everything from NVGs, Rangefinder, AS50, M4 silenced and so on. It's no wonder they just sit up in some lame nest and pick off fresh spawns, nothing else to do and they complain about server hoppers and such? I bet most of the time they will alt-f4, what nub sits in Cherno on a high tower exposed in a ghillie.

It just goes to show how overinflated and common high tier gear is now thanks to the scripters and dupers.

Once this is patched out or BE kicks in, the hive needs to be reset to zero and we start again. If it even can be patched.

You are an idiot if you think server hoping and ghosting are "playstyles." Both of those represent cheating, what Rocket was talking about was spying, banditry, groups, survivors, meta gaming, and other legitimate game styles that are not founded on exploiting a mechanic.

While I think snipers camping new spawns is incredibly cheap (when I spawn nearby due to spawn bug I always take a look at sniper spots and will shoot anyone I see sniping), it is also very cheap to server hop to get sniper kills. Sure the person you kill lacks honor, but now so do you so I am unsure who is worse.

Server hopping isn't even a speck in the current state of Dayz. Script kiddies and terrain exploiters are ruining the game. I don't give a crap if someone server hops after being killed by a lowskill hacker.

Being up against a fully geared sniper sure is a fair fight, being a fresh spawn.

Tbh i also took my DMR a few times and just sniped people inside Elektro. Most people did this at least once i guess. And for the players in Elektro it hardly was a fair fight. At all times we were at least 400m away from them. Even if they knew from where me and my 2 Mates were shooting at them, how could they fight back with the weapons they'd find there? At some point a Group of players did what was their only chance to kill us. They serverhopped onto the sniperhill and next to these Eletricitypole-stuff-thingies and put a few Makarov Bullets inside each of our heads. And we deserved that. So does every other Player who snipes fresh spawns in Elektro and/or Cherno.

Serverhopping when enganged in a "real" fight, that's lame. But killing sniperdicks, that's actually ok. I never complained when someone did this to me. Neither did my mates. Neither should anyone.

Hmmm, where to start with this one.As a fresh spawn a guy with a mak has 100% more gear than you. Soooo what happens is in any situation when the next guy is geared up more than you..server hop because he has more gear ? Makes sense. The game is not meant to be fair as such, not balanced. Hopping in a fight or because someone has positioning on you is the same,no matter how much sugar people try to twist into the debate.. whether he is on a hill 400 metres away or down the street 5 metres away..

Maybe all you guys who whine about the snipers shouldn't have turned Cherno and Elektro into free for all deathmatch towns, the snipers are drawn by all of you who hang around there as if the rest of the map does nopt exist.You die there, go back, die, return, die..then blame the snipers for your repeated deaths. You know it is possible to actually FLANK areas right ? Or work in a group as fresh spawns. like people used to months ago..but nooooo, you all run around popping caps in each others heads ...and blame everyone else for forcing you into a certain playstyle. I only spawn at cherno, prigorodky, balota, or cap golova. I head to cherno in a relatively low pop server. Check residential buildings until I get an enfield. Head to main sniper building with the blue tops on it.

Not sure I follow, could be explain this building more?

If the snipers are sniping from inside buildings in Cherno, they're most likely codfags and deserve to die, no matter via exploit or what.

If they're waiting around the hills, in the forests waiting for travellers, they deserve an honest fight.
