I support OP 100%. This mod is in a state of perma-incompletion as it's intended state can never be reached - hence the locked down standalone on the way. So at this point all bets are off, maybe people should stop seeing these unfixable exploits as a bad thing and should start treating them as features. Embrace ghosting, pretend it's a built-in game mechanic allowing you to teleport via other dimensions, pretend it's Portal, whatever. This mod is afterall a sandbox. I thought they idea of a sandbox was that there were no rules and you play with the mechanics which are available? Well let them use the mechanics to have fun, they will anyway no matter how much you QQ.

If he joined a high pop server , took down the sniper legit and then got his gear..all fair. Server hopping whichever you try and turn the story is the same as hopping in a fight...but each to their own.

If you think it makes him a bad human being or something, just remember that your character isnt even intended represent your as a person.

Umm nothing has stopped players from doing this in the latest patch, you only get spawned on the coast if you exit out on the loading screen (since you are put in debug forest while loading)

I don't think a full geared legit player would go risk his gear for some dumb sniping on those buildings.

Legit snipers are much smarter, play in team and don't get rolled by such a cheap mechanic.

I agree a lot of them probably hack, however I did kill a 3 man legit team yesterday who where covering both buildings at the same time.

Bad person ? we will never know..but what you do be it online in a game or here on forum is a small reflection of yourself. Not saying that just because you axe someone a question in game means you are a serial killer, thats ridiculous..but your play style definitely shows off a side of you. I know i wouldn't be running around popping heads off every fucker i saw because i thought they were going to kill me the instant they turned around. Most would be a blubbering mess when confronted in a live or die situation ( cue the real men who refute this and would go all rambo in 2 seconds ) Thats not my style of play because it just is not me, sure if someone is a real threat or has shot at me then i am attempting to take them down. But just sitting around popping people? meh..can do that in every other game that has ever come out.

There is always some sort of exploit whatever the game..and i suppose it is up to however you game as to wether you choose to use it or not. For myself and the people i game with we choose not too as we consider it bad form. If you constantly find yourself in a situation where you are dying the same way (hackers aside) then i think you need to look at your tactics , not try and find the loopholes. If i was going to server hop to get gear or to kill snipers or whatever else..then to me the game is not worth my time, i am just cheating myself out of the game because i cannot find the time or be bothered to come up with a better plan of attack/ defense. If i get outplayed well.. unlucky, look at what i did wrong and how i could have done it better.

If ,as you say, they dont have the time or desire to get things legit then they aren't here for long anway so its a moot point as they move onto the 'next big thing' very quickly.

You remind a bit of my mate, he rages when he gets sniped..i laugh and tell him to get over it and what the fuck are you doing running around for ten minutes in the coastal areas anyway ? I dont snipe but i aint got anything against them. Last time i sniped we where shooting some zeds of some poor guy running around Elektro getting his zed train on, we were running up to Skalisty from Balota, stopped on the outskirts of Elektro, grabbed some beans then started popping zeds offa this guy. We were then sniped at by someone above us, we legged it and left the dude to his fate. My mate half loses his shit because we are gtting sniped at. I tell him to get over it. His solution always..fuck it lets snipe the snipers the fucking dogs! ..yawn. I run and he ends up following so we get the fuck away from the coast.

Are you serious? I wonder if that's how I've been dying before I load in. Because twice i've died on loadin even tho I was in a safe spot in a forest with my buddy, who spawned in ok instead. Then I end up on the coast in my ghillie suit still with no items, everything's gone, I still have my previous kills and headshots, and humanity murders etc. I wonder if someone who was in the debug forest shot me before I loaded into the correct area I was in. If this is happening to others maybe we should post something in the bug reports section.

That would also explain why my friend couldn't find my body when he was 5 feet away from where i would of loaded in, the body must be in the debug forest. Where whoever killed me was (most likely a hacker and the weird thing is 2 minutes later this player was banned for having script #47, maybe a coincidence or maybe it's not).

Server hopping isn't even a speck in the current state of Dayz. Script kiddies and terrain exploiters are ruining the game. I don't give a crap if someone server hops after being killed by a lowskill hacker.

Being up against a fully geared sniper sure is a fair fight, being a fresh spawn.

Tbh i also took my DMR a few times and just sniped people inside Elektro. Most people did this at least once i guess. And for the players in Elektro it hardly was a fair fight. At all times we were at least 400m away from them. Even if they knew from where me and my 2 Mates were shooting at them, how could they fight back with the weapons they'd find there? At some point a Group of players did what was their only chance to kill us. They serverhopped onto the sniperhill and next to these Eletricitypole-stuff-thingies and put a few Makarov Bullets inside each of our heads. And we deserved that. So does every other Player who snipes fresh spawns in Elektro and/or Cherno.

Serverhopping when enganged in a "real" fight, that's lame. But killing sniperdicks, that's actually ok. I never complained when someone did this to me. Neither did my mates. Neither should anyone.
