They're everywhere! Played for about 5 hours today with buddies, looted NW airfield, Cherno, Elektro, stAry sobor, NovY sobor and the western airstrip, only I finished with anything but an AK, and that was because I got to the m249 first at a heli crash site. I know it's alpha but if it is going tone a few months before the standalone, couldn't the next update include, not MORE weapon spawns, but more VARIETY, of weapon spawns, like more m4s, rifles, shotguns etc.

What do you think? Could it be included before final release?

Hand to hand combat, more "find it in your home" types of weapons will be in the stand alone. I too think that it's too easy to find military grade weapons in DayZ.

I find AK weapons to be rarer than M-series weapons actually. It's a shame that they're weaker too, because I rather prefer the AKs-74u and Kobra to the M4A1 and M16 respectively.

In some parts of the world you can buy an AK47 with a single chicken. AK's are a "find in your home" type of weapon but it depends on where your home is.

I'm OP and I want to play for an hour and get an AS50, Coyote Backack, NVGs and Ghillie suits.

It's a post soviet state dude, of course there's going to be AK's everywhere.

Nice. I love the Kobra version. Goofy as fuck but excellent for medium - long range.

Extra bonus is that usually no one bothers picking up AK rounds so they are quite prevalent.

Loud. Very loud. And the ammo isn't cross compatible with anything, at all. And has heavy recoil. It's kind of a cross between the AK-74 and an M14

Oh yeah, the sights on the thing are ridiculous looking, but they're really easy to use, and the thing barely has recoil.

I actually just started finding AK variants as of late. I think my current guy has an AKM and 9 magazines for it. Where as every time I tried to find one before I always found ARs and AS50's instead...

Well, I agree about the shotties... I rarely find remmingtons or m1014's. But m-series have to be rare, especially because they are more powerful than ak's, because of the recent nerf. And rifles, yes those should be more common. Maybe rocket should add more guns similar to the lee enfield, maybe reskin it and screw with the settings and call it the m1 garand. I'd use it! XD

Usually I find a good variety, but on my most recent charecter I found a gps, a m9sd with enough mags to sustain me and a coyote pack before even finding a primary. Even now, my primary is just a M1014.
