FPS issue since the hotfix

Recommended Posts

I've never had any FPS issues in arma 2 or dayz before.

But the recent hotfix 1.6.0.1 just made my fps go crazy. It's down to as low as 15 at times.

Any else has this issue now? My entire group has this issue and we are 4 people right now, also a lot of people ingame complaining about it, but also a lot of people who don't.

So what's up with this "fix"?

Will you release a fix for the fix?

It's barely playable :(

*sigh*

Yes, once again, an update has dropped a bomb on the game framerate.

I was so happy when 1.5.8.3/1.5.8.4 fixed this. And now, my system goes from never once dropping below 25 fps (and usually averaging 40+ fps, dropping into high 20s only in big cities) to never even reaching 20 fps.

EDIT: Looks like it's a known issue. Good. I eagerly await the fix. Bugs are fine and sometimes even fun to play through, but the ones that make it impossible to play are a *tad* more frustrating. :)

yes, known issue. Will try release a hotfix tomorrow. Suspect it relates to the new anti-hacking mechanisms.

Rather have stable 60 fps than running around with now currently 15, never met a hacker so wasn't really an issue, seems like they were few as it were.

Same here, FPS down from silky smooth to a stuttery mess. Not going to bore you with the specs.

Same, get around 20 fps with an OC'd i7-920 and amd 6950 2 gig OC'd.

And that is with ALL OPTIONS ON NORMAL, only textures on high. Arma 2 really is a resource hog.

Its not arma ii's fault. Last time the fps was bad it was because the servers were not cleaning up loot after themselves so it just kept piling up.

I am getting 4 fps on low setting. It's ridiculous.

On regular arma 2 singleplayer I'm getting like 40`45 on high settings.

I would be willing to be part of a test group. I'm available whenever. This guy needs help in his development.
