Hey guys, I have been playing DayZ and have had loads of fun with it already. I recently ran into a weird thing that i thought i would ask around to see if anyone else has the same issue. After i play DayZ and close the game for some reason my RAM usage goes all the way when nothing is running. I'm pretty sure that it is a memory leak because it only happens after i play DayZ. The non-paged pool continues to build up until around 6GB so i have to reset my computer. I'm really not sure why this is happening or how to fix it. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to see something like this! Traveling through the woods for long periods of time can be pretty boring and i tend to let my guard down. If i knew there was a chance that a creature could sneak up on me at any second i may be a bit more cautious. I have my doubts about this being implemented but if enough people express interest it will definitely have a better chance. I mean hey, look at DayZ :thumbsup:

I believe that item condition is supposed to have an effect but from what i have seen it doesn't seem to be implemented yet. Rest assured item condition at some point will be here.

I don't like this idea at all. As someone else said, if my friends are on other servers i don't want to pay to play with them. It makes more sense in an MMO that doesn't play like DayZ. With the threat of perma-death and no in game skill trees, it wouldn't make sense to do it this way. There are more effective methods such as increasing server wait times as a player joins more servers consecutively.

I'm an idiot hah :P I meant to write don't haha. Absolutely not my idea at all. I was trying to point that out.

How do you go about doing it with the Mosin? Drag and drop the ammo onto the gun?

I definitely do take credit for this idea. I'm pretty sure i heard Rocket mention it a while back in either the dev blogs or an interview. I thought that it would be a feature already implemented but i guess not. I'm sure it's on the list and we will see it very shortly.

Hello, I have a FNX and a few extra 45 rounds. I do not have a magazine for the gun but i was wondering if i was possible to chamber a round? I have played around with it and cant seem to get it to work. Im going to assume its not implemented yet.

Are the dev blogs usually released on Friday?

You do not necessarily need a CD. You can also use a USB drive to install i believe. The image for that you can get online easily but you will still need a valid license key for Windows 7 to avoid the anti-moral behavior of piracy.

You should just be able to delete these key bindings under the controls section in game. If you don't plan on using them it wont matter if you remove them completely since they have no use in DayZ
