And fair enough on the report/warning, it showed me it can be done though.

Are you ready to tell me why exactly you reported me? Under what rule? I saw what you posted prior to the edit, and now i've edited my own post. Edited by shreddedrocks

he thinks everyone who gets banned must of hacked.

This situation is interesting, I've been banned for #----, sent BattlEye support an email and hours later nothing.

I’m a contractor with Electronic Arts for the Origin Live team (http://forum.ea.com/...le/6758535.page), my job is finding security issues with our products and thrawt hackers from stealing your account or personal information, so how does someone like myself get banned legitimately?

I liked playing dayz during breaks but it looks like the next few weeks I'll be playing something else, I hope this issue is fixed soon (hopefully before I die and loose my ghillie suit).

If Bohemia or BattlEye can sort this issue out sooner than (the alternative) much later, it would be most appreciated.

Anyways, back to why i posted in this thread.

I do not want to have to deal with the trouble of contacting Battleye if i were to be banned, (I haven't)

What are some ways of making sure i don't find myself wrongfully banned? And in regards to the GUID case, could logging into a server easily make me a target for a GUID spoof? Assuming it's real and hackers use it.

Do you even lift? You have my beans.

There is no need to be upset.

Man, I'd love to hear your opinion on ARMA2's "clients can do anything" approach to engine scripting. Maybe EA should make more games for "military contractors" but still market them on Steam as mainstream shooters - they'd reduce their budgets by a lot (although you may no longer be employed :P).

Take a plunge and hope for the best.

No one is going to answer that question because of that fact that there are many hackers that would love to avoid being banned.

To answer is to hand it to them on a silver platter. Until the stand alone comes out, all this bollocks goes away then.

Well the only way to be 100% sure you won't get banned is if all the hackers just went up in smoke or you stop playing the game until this mess is sorted out.

Lying is not something we do at EA.

I've also edited my EA dev profile interests to include the BanID for those who don't believe that's my profile page ;)

This. Dmex, if you were in Battleye's position how would you go about fixing DayZ so that players would not be able to apply scripts/hacks in game? Considering it's a game that was meant to be scripted, would it be difficult to fix from a professional point of view?

Its strange because of the type of work i am in if i had any 3rd part programs or anything i didn't know about screwing around in my memory i would be banned by Warden.

Another thing i can't work out is why was i Global Banned 3 times and unbanned 2 times? doesn't anyone find this odd? If anyone knows what i am talking about knows i can't afford to have shit or do stuff like that on my computer.

I have some suggestions but it's probably not professional for me to speak about these things publicly with anyone other than Bohemia and BattlEye.
