omgwtfbbq (DayZ) 1069 Posted August 8, 2012 (edited) When walking around, I sometimes hear a helicopter flying by. There is no helicopter, but the sound of one plays. Anyone know why this happens? Not a helicopter.Then your sound is bugged, you are mishearing things or your sound system/sound card is crapping out.I've got hundreds of hours in DayZ and never once heard the sound you are describing unless there is a helicopter nearby, nor have I heard anyone else mention the issue you are having. Lupin-III 44 Posted August 8, 2012 I've heard ambient helicopters, gunfire, chain link fences, horses, bicycle bells. They're always the exact same sound clips... four rounds fired from an assault rifle, and a very brief fade in and out of a helicopter. Maybe its him LOL.OK. i was at the deer stands around the mountain we dont speak of and someone makes the "i see you" i got really scared (because of what i heard about the mountain). in reflex i just turn around and shot my M-14 AIM in the direction i heard it. then i saw someone that was in prone. i ran over to him, turns out i hit him. Nalestom 116 Posted August 9, 2012 I know that for the longest time, I mistook the sound of bicycle chains while riding the bike for sniper shots...I swear I've wasted a few hours so far by ducking into cover after mishearing that noise.As for the other ambient noise...I don't know why you guys want it removed.
