Where do you hop when you're trying to find a Ghillie?

I've tried Devil's Castle and I'm lucky if I can find one for every couple hours of hopping. If you're looking specifically for the ghillie suit, where do you typically look? I know they have the best chance to spawn at Heli Crashes but due to their random nature, I only bother checking them while heading towards and from Devil's Castle.

There is a place in Chernarus. This place is a ghost town due to the current graphic glitches. This place borders a forest. This place has a train station, 3 apartment buildings, and 3 small civilian house spawns in very, very close proximity to each other. There is even an office building not too far away but it isn't recommended because sometimes it doesn't seem to have any loot at all.

At this place a server hopper would find himself a ghillie fairly quickly. If he stuck to night servers he wouldn't even be in any danger.

Here's an idea. PLAY the game instead of server hopping for a ghillie.

If you walk around the stary/NWAF area for an hour I guarantee you will find a crash with one

ghillie have 1% spawn rate, not so much difficult to find, go into a city with a lot of residential buildings, the ghillie could be inside any of the houses, can also spawn at the entrance of some houses even if you can't enter in them. Remember also that loots spawn from about 100-150 meters, so if you want to maximize your chance to find them, get out of a city, hop into an empty server (there are plenty of LU servers at night) run into the city and look for it, you'll find it easily since you just made respawn new items. My farming spot for the ghillie is Stary Sobor, a lot of residential houses and two high buildings = more chances

I've spent plenty of time playing the game without going crazy over high-end gear. The simple fact of the matter is that if you want a Ghillie suit, it'll take a very long time to find unless you seek it out specifically. The only time I've come across Ghillie-suits without wasting my time on it is off the dead bodies of hackers. And that's no fun.

Since I have recently acquired night-vision goggles, I'll try venturing out to some towns. Stary Sobor is a pretty scary place I have to admit. Even on low-pop servers, that place is a battleground.

This isn't really true. After my first death-by-hacker of the day yesterday I found a ghillie suit in the SECOND house I went into in Elektro. I wasn't looking for a ghillie specifically, I was ditching some zombies and looking for everything/anything I could use. If I had been looking for a ghillie specifically at that point I still would have hit that house, only it would have been the first place I went, instead of the second.

I haven't had such luck to find a ghillie suit by accident, but its unoften I scout houses unless I need food. I'm at Stary now, ill let you guys know how it goes.

This place is at about 128, 052 in NorthEast Berezino. How do I know this? Because I come here often to refuel and look around for industrial items along the coast. Never considered it for finding ghillie suits but I might now. There are 3 good residential buildings, a bunch of smaller buildings and just south of the location is a high yield Office building. Also I very rarely see anybody around here so I'm pretty sure this is what he is talking about since northwest of this area is the edge of a forest. Also.. what graphical glitches is this man talking about? Maybe there were about a year ago when this post was made but I don't think there are anymore, unless he's just talking about the horrible design of DayZ in general and how everytime I enter a city I get 5-10 FPS..

When this thread was originally posted, ghillies were fairly rare.

Now, I am tripping over them.

Crash sites and any residential place will have them.

Any server that has been up for more than 8 hours will have likely countless crash sites.

Play your usual servers (yes most players have more than one server they play on. Never mind the sudden bitching) and you'll find one tonight.
