Vehicle didn't spawn?

Hey,

I managed to fix up a truck, and I drove it deep into the forest to park it when i logged out. It was in the middle of the night, so was pitch black - i couldn't see the truck after i got out, so just lay down next to it and disconnected.

A couple hours later I rejoin the server, and the time is completely different - still night time, but not 2 hours after i logged out - i think there was a server restart.

Someone told me that occasionally your vehicles/tents don't respawn again on server restarts - i think that may be what happened, as i doubt anybody could find it deep in the wilderness in the pitch black of night.

Anyway, if that IS the case, is my truck gone forever, or will it spawn again on the next restart?

Oh, people do find trucks in the middle of nowhere, trust me.

Spotting a truck isn't that hard if you have an L85, their wheels glow like a firework.

Tents do have a bug that the equipment inside may temporarily disappear until the next restart, however I didn't hear anything about the same happening to vehicles.

It was a VS3 - i cant believe it was taken in the small window i was offline - this is like the 3rd time this has happened, so i made a real big effort to hide it deep in the woods - any tips on how to stop this from happening?!

People do find them pretty quickly.

I have found like 4 vehicles.. none of them survived the night.

Sometimes if the server is especially shitty, your vehicle won't save even if you choose to save it, and will respawn to its last position (AKA where you found it).

Maybe - i will check. Very annoying if that is the case though.

I guess i'll just have to travel deeper into the woods?

tell you what. i once ran out of balota and on the treeline outside the village i found a motorcycle in the grass. i took it and drove of. after 200meters the session was lost.

when the server restarted it maybe would have been just a few minutes away where the guy left it. when i found a pickup outside a castle, i quickly drove off with it and saved it a mile away to loot a barn when that server restarted. so you never know. next just just increase you search radius..

once rocket wrote though that if you park your vehicle to far out (like way northwest, after the airfield) vehicles get deleted.. (or something like that).

I've had vehicles restolen many times within just a few hours.

Aye, i will check the area when it is light again, but in future i will not get too attached to my vehicles ;D Lucky i took everything useful to me out of the truck before i DC, just incase this very scenario happened xD

I'm in posession of a very nice truck full of stuff that I "liberated" from it's hiding place in a tree by an empty tent.

Hidden vehicles are rarely as well hidden as you think. :beans:

1. Sometimes the roll down the hill (this happened to me and my friends twice actually, we found them few days later way down the hill hehe)

2. Sometimes they just glitch out and will return

3. It got found and stolen. You might think you had a GREAT spot but those GREAT spots are usually used by alot of other groups to so they know the good places to look.

Ahh well.. I'll go back there tomorrow or whenever the next server restart is and check it out - if it isn't there, it isn't there! I will cope xD
