Reduce Blood Recovery of Cooked Meat

Recommended Posts

I would remove the link blood/food all together. I don't think eating meat or even a lesser meal like canned food would give you overcalories in order for your body to create blood...it should rather raise the blood level even less and regenerate over time. Only blood packs should raise the blood level to maximum.

There's not enough blood in a blood pack to raise your blood over time. And there's no reason you can't apply your own bloodpack. But the game says you can't.

If they remove the health of food they need to allow players to use blood packs on themselves to balance it out.

I agree with this, low or no healing from food, and the ability to self heal from blood bags. After I get matches/hunting knife/hatchet/water bottle I can effectively leave civilisation and survive out in the wilderness indefinitely. There should be something which draws me back to civilisation, where the excitement and risk is.

Meats healing rate is fine as it is. Without it "lone wolf" players wouldn't stand much of a chance.

However i can agree on something within the sense of a combat indicator, and not being able to heal during that. Only blood bags should be applicable while in combat to heal someone.

This prevents people who have nothing better to do with their gameplay or inventory that just stack on 10 meat, and heal everytime they are damaged.

However 800 - 200 heal rates for meat and cans is fine as it is.

There is.

  • Items
  • Zombies
  • Players
  • Vehicles

All of these are reasons to not sit in the forest playing "lets shoot all the pigs and camp near a water source". Its a good idea to have a "home base" like that that you can return to, but if you choose to stay out there, then thats your choice. There are plenty of reasons to go into civilisation.

Also i love that you tried to make getting "matches/hunting knife/hatchet/water bottle" is somehow easier from a city then just piling a bag full of blood bags with full health capabilities from each.

Self blood bagging = no. It was designed to persuade players to work together, and more items like that will come. Plus its quite a hard feat in real life to give yourself a blood transfusion.

I agree self bloodbag is a no. Although a regeneration system would be very helpful. Several times I've been badly damaged and unable to see clearly so I couldn't find food to heal myself enough to see. A regen system would allow a player to lay down in the forest in an attempt to gain enough blood to see again.

reduce amount of raw meat from animal

Goat : from 3 to 2

Boar : from 4 to 3

Sheep : from 5 to 3

Cow : from 8 to 5

or random amount of raw meat like

Goat : 3 > 1-3

Boar : 4 > 2-4

Sheep : 5 > 3-5

Cow : 8 > 4-8

i must agree..this idea is bullshit...

if you are alone, its pretty hard to raise your blood from 6000, or 8000 if you dont have a nice backpack and lots of food stored in it.

but since you only play on low pop servers its easy for you to find food, and you also dont encounter players that often.

I go in, just because it is boring out in the wilderness on my own. I go looking for better guns etc, but I don't need to. Making heals of whatever type only spawn in towns/cities requires me to enter the danger zone, after attrition in the wilderness has worn me down. At the moment, surviving is achieved by the "matches/hunting knife/hatchet/water bottle" combo indefinitely. I'd be in favour of getting rid of all heals from food and making it medicinal only.

There needs to be a way for players to heal effectively when they're alone. Cooked Meat is the answer, It should stay the same or be increased, not lowered. I wouldn't be opposed to the amount of meat that is dropped being lowered or randomized though.

Also food could cause a regeneration over time effect to restore blood but not instantly. Blood should regenerate slowly when food/drink is above a certain percentage, like 50%, food could just temporarily increase the rate that it regens and the type of food would vary the length of the regen increase.
