All the people above are either speaking without knowing what they're talking about or simply lieing. Battleye bans are on CD-KEY, meaning that if you buy a new copy of Arma 2 OA, you will get a new CD-KEY and therefor be able to play again. IP bans only happen on the HIVE on rare occasions and happen only manually by DayZ staff. You'd not be banned from ARMA 2 server but from all DayZ servers. If that were to happen to you then buying a new CD-KEY wouldn't help.

I hear however that Battleye is now also tracing abuse using IP's rather then just CD-KEY's, meaning this could change in a near future, so if you get yourself banned again, there is a fair chance you can't just buy a new CD-KEY.

I get you guys don't like seeing hackers in the game but don't act like you've never done something stupid to get yourself banned from a game or server. Or got yourself thrown out of a class as a kid for misbehaving, it's the same thing. Everyone deserves a 2nd chance. Imo you're no better selling bullshit to the guy then any of the hackers in game.

Hey, if you are one of the morons who are pissing all over the game by making it a hackfest, you deserve every bit hatred you get. The community would probably be better off if you stayed away. Once a hacker, always scum. On the other hand, I guess if you pay for your sins (new CD Key) and stay clean... even scums deserve 2nd chance. You have made it so I cant enjoy Dayz right now, and that is exactly what the hackers want. Thats ok though. Battle Eye bans in waves and every time it does I can feed off the misery of the douchebags that get caught and wash it down with their tears.

He ask the community for suggestions on every aspect. He is the only developer I know that gives a shit what "YOU" think.

I really believe that a project like this is revoloutionary to gaming. If it is successful it could very well change how games are made. If it is successful all the gaming companies will take notice and the landscape will change allowing more intelligent games back into a marketspace that is flooding with "casual" and "arcade" games.

Then I decided that I would just use another simple script to have a military grade weapon. But then I kept running out of ammo so I used a simple little script to replace my ammo. Then I got killed anyway so I used a simple little script for godmode. Then I got tired of all that walking so I used a simple little script to spawn a helicopter. I mean, why walk when I can fly, right? The helicopter was to hard to fly though so I crashed it into a building. Then I missed the whole point of the game and got bored so I used a simple little script to kill everyone for lols. Then I got banned and came to cry about it

Even so this takes the fun out the game and you deserve, I am not going to be a dick and run my mouth but if you pay £/$ 25 for a game that's in ALPHA and being monitored quite strictly you should expect to be banned, it is a bit douchbag hacking but that's part of games.

But to you answer I am pretty sure it's only CD key ban unless you have a perma ban or IP ban if so hard luck and learn your lesson.

In the end you need to think why you are hacking a game that is designed to be hard and a challenge if you cant deal with that then don't play...simple...

Hope you think next time and don't cheat if you get back on.

I agree with all the people that say you suck and should never be allowed to play again. Had you not gotten banned early on you would have progressed to other more extreme ways of hacking I guarantee it.

In a perfect world Bohemia, Activision, Rockstar and every game company on the planet to pool the IP addresses of hackers and you would never play another game online until you physically move. YOU SUCK!
