Remember once seeing someone suggesting how cool it would be to have DayZ exactly the same but with dinosaurs instead of zeds XD

How long will it be before Battle Royale: Survival Program is modded XD

I'm still waiting for a proper Battle Royale game. DayZ does give some hope that it can be made as an ArmA 2 mod but custom character models might be an issue.

Never seen the hunger games, is it as good/better than BR? Though it's been some years since I've seen it so I won't be watching HG thinking AWW MAN! they totally ripped it off.

Hunger Games can be overlong and boring. It was made in mind for young teens and the Twilight generation. Also the shaky cam can be a bit disorientating and the lack of violence for a movie like this is inexcusable. Stick with Battle Royale.

I have never read BR, but it is on my list of things to read. As for Hunger Games.... the movies are eh The book was pretty good however since they dealt more with the social/political aspects of the world. Those were the most interesting parts of the story to me.

I've played some excellent battle royale missions on ArmA over the years. My best experience was on Utes with about 30 people. I ended up winning after multiple close calls and some pretty violent firefights. Alliances were made and broken and feelings were occasionally hurt. But that's the name of the game!

I advise you guys try it some time!

Would be nice if the survivors have a 3 day timer to kill each other and starts out with a random bag of goods ranging from weapons like hatchet, crowsbows, sub machine guns to useful items like a GPS tracker to track the players, binoc, bulletproof vest, etc. Useless items like pot lids and rolls of tissue for those with bad luck( they will have to fins their own weapons) And all of that would require another mod or standalone game. Those who haven't seen Battle Royale( I doubt it) can find the whole movie on youtube.

Booooooo XD I havnt seen huner games either tbh, I have seen BR2 though, waited many years for that pile of shit to get smeared all over my TV, waaas nooooot impressed at all

Oh god, dunno what to think of that. I though BR2 was a complete fecking disaster tbh, (id been waiting for it for so long)

But yea would be cool to have the time limit on too, probably have to reduce the realistic time progressioon in DayZ though. DOubt the same 50 will be on the same server for 3 days :S

The book of BR is fucking amazing. really goes into the politics and kind of society that would produce the Battle Royale Act.

The size of the book is a bit off putting at first, but it does suck ye in. Very good read.

How can people these days go straight to "The Hunger Games" when talking about things like this. Battle Royale was before it both book and movie, and was far superior. Anyway I think this is a very good idea I would like some game/mod along the lines of Battle Royale to come out.

For me the ultimate spinoff from Dayz will be a post-apoc Stalker like game.When I modded my own game I made it so that you had no medkits to heal yourself and medkits were only to bandage you up.You went on a mission and hoped you made it back to camp where a doc would heal you and the character would save.So many times I would be literally limping back to base with a pack of blind dogs off in distance and just feeling that this is how games should feel.The thing for me that was holding it back was the small maps and knowing that over this hill is a nest of mutants or a bandit camp ruined that freeplay exploration feel.Chenarus,with its great feeling to get lost in it is perfect.Radiation and anomolies everywhere,creepy as fuck underground labs and Stalker camps to see a doctor and save your game will be the ultimate game ever IMO.Add in money and ability to level up by buying better and better equipment to allow you to go further and further into the zone. ;)

I read the manga version and watched both sequels of Battle Royale, one of the best stuff i encountered. I still haven't watched Hunger Games but i heard from a lot of my friends (whom also read the books and watched the film) that it was a disappointment as the gore and violence were very minimal, and the shock value weren't there. Can't wait for Oct 20th for the youtube video of Survivor GameZ !

Hunger games is probably an ok movie for a teen or younger , if you are older then just checkyour brain at the door and enjoy it as say one can enjoy spongebob for the total silliness of it :) The concept ( although old ) is good..the movie was linear , cliche and pretty damn boring.
