Chopper desync should be substantially decreased.

Tests have shown they work much better thanks to efforts of decreasing write spam and as well as BIS stability fixes.

I'll seed the first batch of choppers into the DB in about 36h.

Vipeax, please verify, the helo will not be re-implemented until after the hive has been forced to the newest version?

Does this mean tomorrow, the day after, or a patch thereafter?

ETA: You just answered.

36 hours \o/

Ander quick question,

The number of helicopters per server, does it involve the number of slots of the servers? Will each server get 3 total in the end, or is it random?

Thanks!

That would result in 100s (over a 1000 is more likely actually) of servers not working anymore. Especially GSPs need time to adapt, so no that's not an option.

Glad to see that it will be mandatory for every server to be running the latest version. So many exploits people were taking advantage of joining older servers... I like the direction this is going in, now if we could just get that 5 second logout timer working... :D

Updated:

You guys need to create a mailing list for server admins. If people didnt follow the forums they wouldnt know about these hotfixes.

The people who added their servers @ support.dayzmod.com should have received a mail that Shawn sent out.

So, at best a downgrade to 1.7.2.3 to fix the massive graphical glitches in 1.7.2.4 is temporary? Great...

Do you have a way of reaching your host? Teamspeak maybe?

No but I could try. Although I was thinking if you could get your hands on that info somehow, since you're in the dev team after all. :)
