I was wondering where in the hell all those log files came from. Now I know XD

Are you able to set it to a folder to save it to?

That's what I'll be working on next.

Ideally I want to add a folder "Scripts Log" and inside that folder have daily sets of folders with logs from that day. For example:

-battleye

--Script Logs

---Logs-7-25-2012

----scripts_07-25-12_01-25-08.log

----scripts_07-25-12_01-30-08.log

----scripts_07-25-12_01-35-08.log

---Logs-7-26-2012

----scripts_07-26-12_01-25-08.log

----scripts_07-26-12_01-30-08.log

Then when the program finds strings or scripts the user sets it will also note what log file the suspicious strings are located for easy reviewing, most likely at the top of the log file, or to a database.

It currently doesn't support 2 servers.

Just launch a second instance and redo the options. You'll just have to MacGyver it for now

Back to the original question.

Options should be set to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\USXXX\BattlEye

no it should be set to something like:

D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\cfg

Inside the "cfg" is where your battleye folder is

So maybe I am just stupid but I cannot get it to connect to my HFB server through FTP.

I have all the info in and I can't get the config directory correct.

Tried:

Leaving it blank

/199.116.118.55_2332/cfgdayz

/199.116.118.55_2332/cfgdayz/

199.116.118.55_2332/cfgdayz

199.116.118.55_2332/cfgdayz/

Nothing works :/

I haven't had time to test much of on the FTP side as of late. I'll take a look at it and post an update later.

Just one question... Why VB?

Currently it's all I know. I'd like to switch over to C but I'm still learning, and hardly have time as most of my time at work is spent working on iOS/Android apps and using vb6 D:<

Good to hear it man - I was going to have a look at it myself; as an admin for a few servers on a dedicated box. Was there a quick 'how-to' on anything yet; or are things still pretty early?

I was able to get it connected to all my various servers on the same dedicated box... but had no idea how to read/use the program effectively; yet.

Just a quick update of the things i've been working on and dealing with today:

  • Fixed the issues with FTP settings not working. I'm currently working on the RPT search functions and getting it to log nicely in the listview.

  • I'm debating separating the program into an FTP and Local version.

  • Since I'm quite new to string parsing I have to read up on it and grabbing certain things out of the RPT has been a bit tricky for me so far.

Thanks for being patient :)

Awesome keep up the good work!

I was thinking, if the FTP stuff is wonky, couldn't we just mount the FTP as a drive on windows with a program like NetDrive, WebDrive, ExpanDrive, or FTPDrive and then use the local setting?

That should work, i'll also post an updated version today with the ftp fixes.
