New Zombies/ Small Bosses?

I just thought perhaps in later versions of the game that there will be a possibility of the team releasing super zombies or something of that nature.

Such as very rarely players will come across a town and one of the zombies will distinctively be larger and the stats are increased just to add that extra caution and edge to the game. Thoughts?

I think that is to "gamey" and also how would a virus infection mutate ordinary people into super monsters? :)

I actually wouldn't mind some zombie variants what If a zombie was a really big guy before he was infected that would be a premise for just a larger harder to kill zed or what about if some soldier zombies or cop zombies had body armor on they should def be harder to kill and also maybe add the benefit of another loot able item body armor which could always be damaged and only protect you from bullets and not Zeds themselves.

Looks like it. You have to admit that entire premise of zombies is unrealistic anyway. I could believe that a virus could make humans super aggressive, but making them super aggressive only to non-infected humans is a little odd. Realistically rabies type zombies would just rip each other up.

The though guy sounds like a nice idea, but we already have the military kind that does the same thing no? I wouldn't mind the variety, same way we have the runners, crawlers and gorillas.

But no "special infected" pleaaase...

Obviously yes, but it's a rather poor argument saying that something is unrealistic and that's reason enough to go bananas with it. Supernatural things are more scary when as realistic as possible. There are behaviour altering parasites in nature. An viral infection is the most realistic way to go. :)

I wouldn't mind seeing:

Wild Dogs / Zombie Dogs - Their human owners have died or turned into Zombies. The pack nature kicks in and they go feral and start roaming around. I've seen this in other Zombie media, so it's not unrealistic for it to happen. Zombie Dogs have eaten too much Zombified human flesh, now they're Zombies.

NOTE: Hell, recently I heard of a long boarder in South America get chased on his long board by a pack of starving dogs. Poor bastard filmed it and he killed two of them with his board. Now he has to have rabies injections for the rest of his life...

More Zombie varieties - Why not? You have crawling, hopping, and regular walkers.

Why not mix in just some shufflers. Zombies who have been Zombies the longest and therefore more starved and lacking energy to sprint down a Survivor.

You then have your Sprinters who are freshly infected and have more human fats / energy reserves to chase you down?

Children Zombies - Again why not?

Body Builders / Taller Zombies -Again, we as humans are all different heights and weights.

I don't support any stupid features like Smokers, Boomers, Hunters or Witches from the "Left 4 Dead" series. That was cool in that setting. Not here.

I have to disagree. What I can't explain will always scare me more than what I can. That's just me though.

Hehe, yeah, this is of course very much individual of course. :)

I guess I just think it fits this mod more to keep it realistic in the suspended disbelief way.

would like to see zombie dogs sicne arma2 already ahs dogs in it.

also maybe dogs that you can find and use as a pet seeking them on zombies and palcing a small backpack on them to hold shit awesome

also theres a wip horse mod for arma2, im sure that rocket could do a much better job and hve horses that can be ridden out in the wilderness

I think the dog thing would be great and they spawned in the middle of no where so that you still have that edgy feeling when your strolling through the woods.

Shufflers and bigger zombies again would be suitable. Not to the state where they are so overpowered you can't kill them.

No. No "special zombies" of any sort. No. Never. That's final.

I'm sick of these "mini-bosses" in zombie games. We're here because we like zombies, not bulky freaks with personal soundtrack. They does not have anything to do with zombies, you'll be making special "mechanics" as if they are intended to be eliminated.

No, just no.

You are supposed to AVOID zombies not to eliminate them.

You want the game to be more challenging? Ask for more zombies.

You want more variety? Ask for more skins and animations for the zeds.

I like the idea of some sort of zombie 'soldier' type having lootable body armor.

It also fits in the the realism aspect of things as if i were turned into a zombie whilst i was at work (and i wear body armor for a living) i can imagine i'd be harder to kill at range as you'd pretty much need a headshot. Unless the force of the shot knocked me down and then you ran over to me and headshot me.

First I'd like to say thank you for the devs and the players to make this game super good already.

With my group of friends we were talking about this, and we came to the conclusion that adding some kind of rare zombies (but still humans zombies) would be fun. Some kind of strange zombies that will randomly walk through the map and that will be way tougher that you'll never ever want to fight them. Plus those rare zombies could loot some good things as well to make it worth try to down him as a group.

We agreed too that it will be just a "plus" and that we didn't want a kill/loot system like any MMO. Just an ice on the cake that you can do on "rare" occasion.

Pls no. The one thing I hate most in games is bosses that are not in line with the overall difficulty of the game and other AI. So no uber-targets, more variety in zombie difficulty (movement speed) would be nice though.
