Hi everyone, so today i wanted to talk a little bit about the guns in day z and how they spawn at the moment.
Having been playing on a private hive for more then a week now, i haven't seen a single gun spawn with its magazine and neither with its bullets. And i mean that in 100% of the cases when i found them. Is it just me that thinks the gun spawn system should be reworked AGAIN for at least a 50/50 % chance of the guns to spawn with its magazines? Don't you guys agree that is so damn annoying that if you find an AK and in all the cases you still have to find the magazine for it AND after that you have to go around looking for the ammo?
Im not saying this should happen all the time, but come on what are the odds that in a survival situation around an area the size of chernarus there isn't a single gun with ammo lying around or even the clip for it? I think is just stupid that even after 3 years of development we still have to be here discussing small things like this. Its just so frustrating to watch the developers say things like "guns now spawn with attachments" and the only gun you'll ever see with it is a .22 rifle with a hunting scope. Haven't you guys sold 3 million copies of the game already? Isn't that enough to make a good "farming experience" for the players and not just a frustrating one?
Ahhh sorry this post turned into a rant, i guess im just expecting too much from you guys right?
Im open for criticism, just dont give me the alpha replies please, i know what i was up to when i spend my money on it. By the way, I would like to say that the game improved a lot in .61 and if you have been taking a break from this game for the last year or months, this is the patch where you should definitly give it a try again and i can't wait to see whats coming next as a fan from day z since the beggining. Just be prepared to ALWAYS spend 1 hour to find a good gun and 2 more hours to find 30 rounds and a clip for it.
DayZ could reward some players actions. The rewards i thouthg was:
If you kill all zombies in the area you could get a boost on loot on that Area and the next loot zone you enter. Or you could recieve a 30 minutes loot boost. This could work perfectly with the dynamic loot system. As once you approach the building the loot spawn.
This could be a boost for each zombie you kill you get a little boost on loot and if you clean all zone a better boost.
The other reward system i thought was about killing players or dont, if you kill a player you already get his loot as reward. But the game could reward the action better, as, if you walk with another player or get at a distance and dont kill or damage, or have any action such as kidnap, you could get some boost, in speed travel, or decrease speed your stats drops as hungry.
And players could start with a lower accuracy or dispersion, each zombie/player you kill with fire arms could increase the accuracy with it to a maximum.
And each you kill in melee could increase melee damage and/or speed.
