So tired of this

Ok...I have tried every laucher and way I could find to try and play Dayz., and so far nothing works.

All of my versions are up to date, folders in right position. Six Launcer shows servers for a split second, then they all dissapear ever after I update and verify I have the latest day z stuff. I bought arma II CO just to play this and nothing works. I've used Spirit Machines launcher, Dayz Commander, Six laucher, six updater(still no servers their either), and just tried to do it with a shortcut by editing the target patch. STILL nothing, no servers in multiplayer menu, even if I try and use filter. I've looked in every topic that seems to relate but no one seems to have this exact problem. I really hope I didn't just waste 30 bucks on nothing because if it wasn't for day z arma 2 doesn't even catch my interest.

My machine specs are

Windows 7 64bit Ultimate

8gig ram

radeon 5750 HD graphics card

~10m/bs connection

I have also installed them WITHOUT steam, beacuse steam was a bitch and wouldn't install either. I downloaded both games online retail.

I had the same problems, and you may not be a stupid as I am, but I found that there was a 700mb patch required for OA BEFORE applying the 94876 Beta patch.

Then DL dazupdater from http://www.worrom.com/ and install it into the same directory as ARMAII

Add mod=@dayz -nosplash

to the target line in your OA shortcut, then run DayZUpdater, update and play the game from there.

Worked for me.....

Yes, nothing there at all. The only place I even glipse servers is when six launcher first opens, then they all dissapear.

No, steam was being shitty and wouldn't install, so I bought it thru digital download.

I used worroms as well, thats how I know all my stuff is up to date. Still didn't work for me.

And if it helps anyone help me, I can go under expansions in the game menu and dayz is there, its also on the upper right corner as well.

I'm going to goto bed now. maybe someone can help me when I get back.

It seems to me your network is somehow blocking the incoming GameTracker packets. Describe your security systems, which firewall and antivirus you use, do you have VAC enabled in Windows 7, do you launch all the game and Launcher files with admin privelegies?

I couldn't find anything about six launcher logs, I googled where they should be, didn't get any help there either. I've uninstalled and reinstalled six once just to make sure that wasn't the issue.

I'm also using my game from a different location than the normal C/ blah blah blah. its on my D drive.

I'm thinking it might be a router issue that could be stopping it, however it doesn't stop anything else I run(DCUO, UTorrent, CoDWaW, black ops when I had it, minecraft). Every thread I google and find about day z and router ports gives me "file not found" which really sucks.

You need to download the arma 2 OA official patch 1.60 before you do anything mate. Go the the arma 2 website and grab it.

Thanks for trying, but did you not read where I said everything is up to date? I'm on 1.60.87580 on OA.

I can not see any servers even when launching arma II without the -mod=@DayZ. Maybe a router issue, but again I can't read any post on the matter, its all "file unavailable"

when I try to run day z mod, I have DayZ and @DayZ on the right had side of the screen, as well as arma II, arma II OA, and then another Arma II icon underneath my menu, I don't know if that means anything, but figured I'd add it in.

I did launch everything with admin(I'm the only user account on the computer). using AVG antivirus, its not saying anything about it blocking any threats. Only other security is my router, its a motorola surfboard, but I've never had to port forward it for anything in the past

Well apparently there is another patch out there from 1.60 to 1.61 so thats what I'm installing now.

Sucks your rig is offline though. whats wrong with it?

UPDATE:

Dayz Commander says my arma II is out of date that my revision is 94876 and the latest is 95054.

I just downloaded 95054 and installed it, but its still saying its out of date, maybe this is my issue?

It also says now that my armaII OA is corrupt or doesn't exist when I can launch it fine from the folder. Maybe I need to reinstall /headache

SOLVED!

My dumbass uses PeerGuardian to help me cover my ass on torrents and general browsing. I have it set up to be invisible not in my sys tray, etc. That was blocking all my connections, turned it off and BAM works fine. I'm getting stuck on "waiting for host" now or it just says Unable to join game even though there is room and low ping. but the biggest problem has been solved, all because I'm a privacy loving dumbass. Maybe someone can learn from my mistake though

the program "Peerblock" will cause similar problems.
