Add Random supply paradrops from c130 airplanes with weapons, supplies or so

Recommended Posts

Hi Rocket,

I been thinking it would be awesome to have c130 airplanes dropping supplies to random locations on the map, think how cool would be to see a gigantic parashoot falling in the horizon and all of the survivors and bandits killing themselves for getting some swag from it!

Hope you like the idea

Cheers!

He has to work off what the game gives him to use.

Sounds cool, but if you think about it, all it will be is a huge blood bath for a couple of canteens.

Everything is already random enough too really, there's crashed helicopter drops.

I think the idea of some form of government assistance organization would be cool.

In any major human catastrophe, government organizations have provided relief efforts (but those in need never really knew when or where it would come from).

Look at Hurricane Katrina, etc.

I don't think they would drop weapons...nono not the government.

Yes but i bet even in a zombie apocalype the governments wouldn't carelessly drop ammo or weapons for civilians, they would rather drop food and other survival equipment, have them go to a spot and collect them in order for the situation not to escalate like it does now with the weapon abundance.

Why not make it an announced drop then?

Have the drop be random location each time. but have a message broadcast over global chat or admin that sends out a warning to all the players on the server with a grid location accurate to 1 kilomiter of the location of the drop.

Airdrops don't make sense, if you take a look at the Metagame.

The highest pop servers I have seen so far have about 60-100 people on them, so thats ~80 people spread across 225km². Since most of the worlds population has been wiped out by the Zombiecalypse i seriously doubt that any still functioning Government or Paramilitary Post-Apo-Organization would be willing to spend the fuel, the Tech(Heli/Airplane), the resources or the manpower to make supply drops into a Zone with an unknown, if even existent, number of survivors that havent even been able to make contact with the outer world.

People are killing each other in this game for a lousy pair of boots(well..if there were boots..we would kill each other for them) so I have to ask..why would anyone outside, with their own problems at hand(you know the Zombiecalypse) do something like that?

I think this is in place already with helicopter crash sites. So this isn't nessacary.

However, you could add some really thick black smoke that will appear when a helicopter crash site actually spawns a helicopter crash. You would get the same effect that you're wanting(a rush to valuable resources), and it would be more realistic(helicopter crashed, it should be noticable).

You know the crashed choppers we find? What do you THINK they were doing?

Also, search bar. Suggested three times this week alone.
